I lived in Grove City in the 70's and we used to hang out under the bridge that had a catwalk under it . seeing Greenville the way the tracks go right in the middle of town is very cool !
good to see you have caught them as well, and that you saw the railroad!!!! I have lived next to it all my life and its always a great thing to see some coverage from the Bessemer and lake erie!!! great shots!!!!
I've chased them enough times that I know the timing to beat them to each spot, and have a general idea of when they might run. They are still pretty hard to catch sometimes, and making things tougher has been an increase in evening runs lately which means most of their time on duty is after dark. Knowing how to read their signals and keeping a scanner handy makes it a lot easier, and I'm lucky enough to go to college in earshot of the tracks so if I'm not busy I can drop what I'm doing to catch them somewhere. It would have been cool to see the Bessemer back then. It is a shell of what it was when you were in Grove City.

Cool video! I feel the same way about the EJ&E. Bessemer's ,Union and DM & IR sister railroad here in the Chicago/NW Indiana area.
