I've had one of these for a couple of years now; still happy enough with the purchase. But beware, they flap up and down on the highway from the wind and make noise. No problem if the windows are up, but with them open I have to crank the radio to drown it out.

Hi, had a question I have this cover but it recently stop close halfway. It slides open it doesn’t latch no more is there anyway to fix it ?

Is that stripping added to the back of the bed?

Does someone actually answer these questions? I just installed one and it is super hard to open. I'm 5'9'' and it's hard to reach to slide it open and it's almost impossible to open one handed.

We installed the gator retractable cover on a 2018 Chevy Silverado 4 door with 6-6 bed and the latches for the cover does not allow the rails to open wide enough at the rear of the bed. We ended up taking the latches off in the center and at the tail gate. I think we got the wrong cover but everything said it was correct.

Do you mean the clamps? I just bought one and installed on a 2016 chevy and it is 2 tight toward the tailgate if it was clamps you just left them off ?

So my cover came up short about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. My instructions didn't say pull the tracks back to the tailgate using the 1/4 spacer. So is it safe to say that in the beginning of the video he placed the canister flush against the bed but then he pulls it to the tailgate so.... in the end it's not flush with the bed of the truck near the cab?
