For anyone going for an Alphacade, there's a JAMMA version set up for the non-family version Pandora's Box. Also, Pandora's Box 6 has an option to favorite games, which makes for a pretty handy way to sort through games (apparently. I have a Pandora's Box 6 but am still waiting on my Alphacade to hook it up).
Bought a Pandora Box 6 on AMAZON. Prime so quick delivery. I emailed the vendor the same day to get info on installing games. I have never messed with computers before, but a few quick searches on google and TH-cam and my PB6 was up and running with no issues. Games list is padded with a few multiple copies of the same games but not bad for having 1300 games. Some fighters like tekken and virtua fighter dont work but most fighters work on it. Overall i love it. Built an arcade melamine cabinet for it and now looks exactly like an arcade machine
I bought the one with the kit to replace the buttons because I was watching the video by ETA prime that said we needed to replace the buttons because the arcade 1up it comes with is not compatible with the pandora box 6
I bought the 3a 8 button pandora box 6 because of the 7 menu system looking too tedious, I'm glad I did, the 6 is amazing, just going through testing which ps1 games work and which don't at the moment, I'd say it's a 50/50 result so far, I've only been adding ps1 games that don't need shoulder buttons as pandora doesn't have them, great bit of kit and love all the retro gaming memories it's bringing back.....

Side note on the Pandora’s Key 7: you can do 3-4 player using a usb hub, but player 3-4 won’t process any control inputs by itself (which causes the board to reset). To fix this , have player 1 or 2 active.

Here is my advice to anyone considering these. Buy a clone pandora box. Find a sale price on ebay. I bought several of the ryu 5s boxes for 60 dollars each. I gutted the boxes and put in a pi 3b. Loaded the pi with wolfenoz 32gb arcade image. Google it Also upgraded stocks to 40 dollar pair with buttons and usb encoder. Super easy only took about 90 min to setup. Image is good to go. Also just get a quality bartop arcade kit, not a cheap 1/4 mdf pos like the 1ups.

I have a 60 in 1 in my A1up Galaga cabinet. It's a good board to emulate some classic arcade games. If you're looking for more the 90's / 2000 era Arcade games than the PB is a great way to go. 1500 extra games you can add to the 3AGame, i have the clone Pandoras X 2020 you can add Psx,Dreamcast,Psp,N64,1000's more mame game's, also run's same hardware as the 3Agame. I preferand own both but the clone wins hands down for me.

I am having a very hard time getting my buttons and joysticks to work. Please show me how you wired that harness. I have no idea which wire goes where and theres like 100 colored wires. I currently use a Pi in my arcade bartop, I want to make it easier for my kids and guests to use. Is the Pandora’s box interface easier to deal with? Love the Pi but for someone who’s never used one it can be a pain to navigate and screw up.
JoeyJoJo Junior It took about 3 weeks to receive it. The games are not installed but you email them once received and you should get an immediate response with a download link. I like the PB because it’s plug and play but it does lack flexibility in the sense that it’s really tied to a single set of emulators that really only cover FBA, MAME and PS1. Hey Ralph, Ive built a bar top arcade from scratch before, including all cabinet work (which took the longest lol) i have one question if you could answer please, I want to build another and noticed that instead of wiring using jamma harness to pandora box 6 arcade version, could I wire all my buttons and joysticks to the usb encoder that comes with my aliexpress button and joystick kit and then buy a family version this time (the one with three usb ports and use these usb ports for each players set of controllers instead of jamma harness, I thought this was a given and that id done it wrong the first time but i cant find any info on ppl doing the wiring this way. is it possible? thanks

It's hit or miss, it seems a few of the Pandora's boxes I have bought in the US directly from amazon or eBay have roms included. However, the official store (If you want to call it that)... seems to require you to download them after the fact. I suppose this is to get around the legal gray area. They can say "we don't ship it with games". Although I'm not sure why they care since they break this rule constantly on other products and include the roms. Typically they now provide you with a download link and you download and unpack the files onto the included flash drive once you have the system. Hey man I looked at the Pandora box 6 family and they have a stipulation added that says no games will be included on disk in future because of licencing problems. Does this mean no games are included from now on or just the ones on the board. This would be a waste of money if they don't actually include the 1300 games they used to. Just a little confused about their web sight add for the Pandora box 6 family. Thanks
All is one is cool if you just want to hook it up and play. You can tuck it away when you're not using it so if space is an issue... it's a great option! It's got the same board inside so your gameplay experience is the same :-)
Retro Ralph is there any cons other than price for gutting the “all in one”and putting it in a 1up or do you recommend getting the wiring harness and putting in your own joystick and buttons?
@@retrosarge9920 Well if you're looking to cut cost you could reuse the stock buttons but they're not very good. I'm afraid if you plan to play it often, then you're better off replacing the joysticks and buttons. @Retro Ralph, how does one connect power to a P6 from an isolated power supply and what are the pinouts? For example, if a wall wart power supply was not provided, can you share where the 12 volt pins exist on the board? I purchased from the link you provided above :)
I got a Pandora's box 6 that is work pretty good. Only think that bothers me is the credit system. I can't add credit into a game when I choose other credit parameter that free play. Anyone have this issue ?

Hey. Can I install a Pandoras Box in my Mortal Kombat Arcade1Up cabinet? Would I just plug in the Family Version? And could I also just use the Family Version directly into my TV with USB controllers?
Mine is due to arrive tomorrow but I understand that they are no longer configured with the games. Do you know if they provide a link to download to the USB stick to install the games or am I back to hunting like the Rbpie for the ROMs/games?

It's ironic that we're talking about "official" vs. "bootleg" versions of a product that exists solely to provide thousands of bootleg unauthorized copies of games. All Pandora Boxes are fundamentally bootlegged. Not saying I wouldn't buy one, though! 😂
Another thing in this is just me being honest you're better off getting a PlayStation classic for $20 I'm going on AliExpress they have a USB drive with 3000 games on it or you can go on Amazon and buy a USB drive with games on it for less than $5 and still be happy and I've seen people download so many different types of games on them I seen one person play Super Nintendo on their PlayStation classic I have seen people played Nintendo 64 games on their PlayStation classic
Can I swap my controls and internals from my Pandora's box into my SF 2 arcade 1up ? Will I need anything other then the VGA board or will the wires in the Pandora be to short for the cabinet ?

I hear about these all the time and I see they have an audience Im just confused as to who that audience really is or if I want to be a part of it or not. The menus are so ugly and give less features than Retropie gives is it better suited for arcade games like HOTD or any other Sega Model 2 stuff or am I better off with a standard PC for those games?
It can be ordered with the 6s (clone) or 6 (3A games version). Mine came with the 6s clone and I put an extra 6 I had from another project in it. The 6s is not bad but I like the 6 so I can add games.... Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.

My list of problems with the Pandora box All Pandora boxes streams in 480p except for Pandora 6 in 3D It does not save your progress It has repeat games such as Homebrew version arcade version consoles version PC version But other than that it does have some good qualities if you can look past that it has Atari greatest games all the way up to PlayStation 3 every Council PC game Homebrew yes it is worth getting I just don't like the repeated games and it does not save your progress so I feel like it's best to only get it if you into fighting games and another good thing about the Pandora box if you are a huge fan of SNK Neo Geo consoles then you really need to get this but make sure it's more of the up-to-date one and the only Pandora box that saves your data is the Pandora box 3D the other ones does not save
They are not in real jamma but chamma (chinese jamma with 6.7 buttons),you need a adaptor with kick harness if you use one in a real arcade cabinet. Use a Pi2jamma.
typical of the Chinese to do that. What a pain in the ass. Ther whole point of Jamma is to make it plug and play not plug and mod. Kinda defeats the purpose doesnt it?
@@dman1848 Yeah and not. Jamma is great..but it’s 3 boutons..the others are just ground cables. That’s why we have ’kick harness’ specificly to any games system..Sf2..MK.. Me,I have jamma+ (5 boutons on jamma directly) and just the last one to connect directly. If you connect a chamma pandora with a jamma cabinet...you can have a short...not a big one..5volts + 5 volts..but enough to burn cables (I did it when I recieved my first arcace who was badly connected all 3 boutons short circuit). That’s why a adaptor + kick harness is the best way...you have a voltmetre on it..always usefull. And...a real story about the probably birth of the Pandora box... In 2015..back then no Pandora box with pannel plug n play...they were just multiroms jamma box 400.500 games.. I had the Combo A.V...(one of the fiirst arcade tv ’console’ in 1992) and I contacted 3A on ebay..I show them pictures of the combo a.v system...asking them if they could make a stuff like that with a double usb and jamma adaptor with a android cheap pc..just to play Willow to stv..dreamcast..cave... 6 months later...the first Pandora box pannel..exactly like the Combo A.V arrived... Trutth story...so..I am maybe the father..a cuck one...of these well sell knockoff...without any money of course ^^

Pandora box 5 and 9 can’t play 3D games, the 6 can. I believed they are 4 cores. The Pandora Key has 8 cores even though it is a knock off but has higher spec that original. They have tekken 6 but the emulation isn’t perfect. like Ralph said these things can’t be customize able but if you just want a plug and play it’s fine. Just remember that the mini pc can emulate better.

I bought a real pandora box 6 a couple month back. I've followed the instructions to get the games. I plug my flash drive in and no games show up. I bought this for my 11 year olds birthday and we still haven't been able to play one game. Can anyone help me please?
I have a pandoras key 6S arcade box with the hdmi and VGA output. I've been trying to stream my box onto twitch but when I connect it to my elgato capture card it tells me that it can't support that resolution. It also does it when I connect it to my 55 inch TV, but it works perfectly fine on my 32 inch tv. Is there a way around this? Or am I stuck with it this way?

Unfortunately it does but not as well. Rather most of those games don't play and if they do they're ps one versions.

Hey man I looked at the Pandora box 6 family and they have a stipulation added that says no games will be included on disk in future because of licencing problems. Does this mean no games are included from now on or just the ones on the board. This would be a waste of money if they don't actually include the 1300 games they used to. Just a little confused about their web sight add for the Pandora box 6 family. Thanks
Can you not connect USB sticks? I changed my 1up sticks to the led ones that have USB encoders

All is one is cool if you just want to hook it up and play. You can tuck it away when you're not using it so if space is an issue... it's a great option! It's got the same board inside so your gameplay experience is the same :-)
Retro Ralph is there any cons other than price for gutting the “all in one”and putting it in a 1up or do you recommend getting the wiring harness and putting in your own joystick and buttons?
@@retrosarge9920 Well if you're looking to cut cost you could reuse the stock buttons but they're not very good. I'm afraid if you plan to play it often, then you're better off replacing the joysticks and buttons. @Retro Ralph, how does one connect power to a P6 from an isolated power supply and what are the pinouts? For example, if a wall wart power supply was not provided, can you share where the 12 volt pins exist on the board? I purchased from the link you provided above :)
I got a Pandora's box 6 that is work pretty good. Only think that bothers me is the credit system. I can't add credit into a game when I choose other credit parameter that free play. Anyone have this issue ?

I have the pandoras box 6 and for some reason I cant get the joysticks to send a input to the board. I plugged the harness in and the sticks don't work

Hey. Can I install a Pandoras Box in my Mortal Kombat Arcade1Up cabinet? Would I just plug in the Family Version? And could I also just use the Family Version directly into my TV with USB controllers?
Mine is due to arrive tomorrow but I understand that they are no longer configured with the games. Do you know if they provide a link to download to the USB stick to install the games or am I back to hunting like the Rbpie for the ROMs/games?

It's ironic that we're talking about "official" vs. "bootleg" versions of a product that exists solely to provide thousands of bootleg unauthorized copies of games. All Pandora Boxes are fundamentally bootlegged.

Another thing in this is just me being honest you're better off getting a PlayStation classic for $20 I'm going on AliExpress they have a USB drive with 3000 games on it or you can go on Amazon and buy a USB drive with games on it for less than $5 and still be happy and I've seen people download so many different types of games on them I seen one person play Super Nintendo on their PlayStation classic I have seen people played Nintendo 64 games on their PlayStation classic

Thank you and Wicked Gamer for your info but what I still dont understand is what do you honestly get from this that a pi or even a standard PC cannot get you? I hear about these all the time and I see they have an audience Im just confused as to who that audience really is or if I want to be a part of it or not. The menus are so ugly and give less features than Retropie gives is it better suited for arcade games like HOTD or any other Sega Model 2 stuff or am I better off with a standard PC for those games?
Does the TV Box have the official version of 3A Pandora's box installed?
It can be ordered with the 6s (clone) or 6 (3A games version). Mine came with the 6s clone and I put an extra 6 I had from another project in it. The 6s is not bad but I like the 6 so I can add games.... Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.

My list of problems with the Pandora box
All Pandora boxes streams in 480p except for Pandora 6 in 3D
It does not save your progress
It has repeat games such as Homebrew version arcade version consoles version PC version
But other than that it does have some good qualities if you can look past that it has Atari greatest games all the way up to PlayStation 3 every Council PC game Homebrew yes it is worth getting I just don't like the repeated games and it does not save your progress so I feel like it's best to only get it if you into fighting games and another good thing about the Pandora box if you are a huge fan of SNK Neo Geo consoles then you really need to get this but make sure it's more of the up-to-date one and the only Pandora box that saves your data is the Pandora box 3D the other ones does not save

They are not in real jamma but chamma (chinese jamma with 6.7 buttons),you need a adaptor with kick harness if you use one in a real arcade cabinet.
Use a Pi2jamma.
typical of the Chinese to do that. What a pain in the ass. Ther whole point of Jamma is to make it plug and play not plug and mod. Kinda defeats the purpose doesnt it?

Jamma is great..but it’s 3 boutons..the others are just ground cables.
That’s why we have ’kick harness’ specificly to any games system..Sf2..MK..
Me,I have jamma+ (5 boutons on jamma directly) and just the last one to connect directly.
If you connect a chamma pandora with a jamma cabinet...you can have a short...not a big one..5volts + 5 volts..but enough to burn cables (I did it when I recieved my first arcace who was badly connected all 3 boutons short circuit).
That’s why a adaptor + kick harness is the best way...you have a voltmetre on it..always usefull.
And...a real story about the probably birth of the Pandora box...
In 2015..back then no Pandora box with pannel plug n play...they were just multiroms jamma box 400.500 games..
I had the Combo A.V...(one of the fiirst arcade tv ’console’ in 1992) and I contacted 3A on ebay..I show them pictures of the combo a.v system...asking them if they could make a stuff like that with a double usb and jamma adaptor with a android cheap pc..just to play Willow to stv..dreamcast..cave...
6 months later...the first Pandora box pannel..exactly like the Combo A.V arrived...
Trutth story...so..I am maybe the father..a cuck one...of these well sell knockoff...without any money of course ^^

Pandora box 5 and 9 can’t play 3D games, the 6 can. I believed they are 4 cores.
The Pandora Key has 8 cores even though it is a knock off but has higher spec that original. They have tekken 6 but the emulation isn’t perfect.
like Ralph said these things can’t be customize able but if you just want a plug and play it’s fine. Just remember that the mini pc can emulate better.
You should look into the camera's lens vs your camera screen. You'll connect better with your viewers

I have a pandoras key 6S arcade box with the hdmi and VGA output. I've been trying to stream my box onto twitch but when I connect it to my elgato capture card it tells me that it can't support that resolution. It also does it when I connect it to my 55 inch TV, but it works perfectly fine on my 32 inch tv. Is there a way around this? Or am I stuck with it this way?
