This chip and ram is more efficient than anything in the past...phones that pack with SD elite seen a great improvement in efficiency. Its gonna be my first samsung since I turn over from Pixel 6
@trilingualkid No argument on that about the chip. Just remember other manufacturers are getting that same chip and upgrading a lot more with it this year to get the most out of it. With Samsung the Elite is their selling point. 👍
@@GOTgoodoldtech-1964 Samsung make great improvement on AI, I think more so than Pixel, I have the 9 pro right now and have not use the Gemini pro more than once. I'm looking at Samsung to improve on the phone call translation and language translation in general, I find that is more useful to me as I travel for leisure every year to a new country
I can't understand how it won't be interesting: - a brand new sensor for the ultrawide which was one of the most important and lowest points on previous generations - eventually iphone like zoom transitions (and one of the reasons why I changed to iPhone) - battery life on the S23U and S24U was stellar, if it is not at least worse, I am happy! - charging speed: what the heck? why do people complain?! When I was out of juice, I just plugged my S22U and now iPhone 15PM in in fast charging (not in ultra fast charging) and in a few minutes I had energy for all my day!!! And what's the fuss??? Every single job out there has a AC outlet or USB to charge a phone! Even my 2015 and 2023 cars have an USB to charge, slower or faster, my phone. Every day I take around 15 minutes to go to work, I plug my iPhone 15 PM to my car and when I arrive I have over 60% battery which lasts me all day! - better brighter screen - S-PEN can't be improved, it is already very good. If it loses BT it won't matter to me as I did not use the BT functions at all. Most apps are not compatible with the "air" movements and to shoot photos I raise my hand or I use voice activation. I NEVER bothered to take out and then put back in the pen for photo shooting... and for presentations I use my laptop, as I always make last minute changes and I need full compatibility. I cannot risk that the presentation doesn't work for some reason. So, it won't bother me at all - 16 GB RAM eventually on some models: I always had 12 GB ultra models and even with 2 open windows, many things working and RAM usage was at most 8-9 GB. 12 GB are more than enough for 99% of all buyers. My wife has the S24+ with I 12 GB RAM and sometimes I use her phone for a lot of productivity and I see ZERO limitations. 16 GB would be great, but I don't mind the 12 GB. - one of my biggest issues with the S22U was the 10x camera (I use almost exclusively 3-5x) and the sharp edges. With the S25U with rounded edges and 5x optical camera, my biggest issues would be solved. So yes, I will sell my iPhone 15 PM (great hardware, lousy iOS) and buy the S25U *if* the european version comes with the Snapdragon Elite.
@@numbone yeah I thought about that also but I I am a wall covering contractor and so I'm on my feet all day and the 24+ it's already big enough in my pocket and the OnePlus 13 is a little bit taller and so I think I'm going to have to pass but hey I think it's a good choice .
My real wish is that Samsung would create a smaller Ultra phone. I love the Ultra, but it's just a bit too big and heavy. They'd need to keep the full Ultra camera in a smaller one though.
That makes no sense. That's like saying you wish your large pizza was a small.. just buy the regular s25??? I don't understand your point. Why would it be called an ultra? If it's smaller
Hello? You heard that the S25 light is coming out? It's a much lighter and thinner version of the phone will retaining its top of the line features. Your wish is granted
Some people saying they're not buying it and the phone is not even out yet. How about try the phone then say what you think about it. i think it looks amazing and i already had the s24 utlra. This new design with the rounded corners and flat edges looks beautiful. And with one ui 7 it's gonna be the smoothest galaxy phone ever leaving the competition behind.
Help me understand something here ... if 80% of the hardware is already good enough, then why upgrade it? I think the biggest issue was what the phone's processor and software were doing with the data it got from that hardware. Even if Samsung gave us a 500MP camera but with the same issues, nothing would really change. Also, the leaks on the S-Pen have no corroboration with any other leaker, meaning that its most likely wrong, especially so close to the announcement (it also doesn't make any sense even as a cost-saving measure). Lastly, the AI features that people say will show up on the older phones... y'all really think "ALL" the new AI features built around the SD 8Elite will work flawlessly or even come to the S24 and below line-up? I'm not even a Samsung fan, but think about it logically: that would be a marketing disaster, especially with Samsung trying to get more people away from Apple/iPhones and their other competitors like OnePlus and the other Android phone companies, not to mention competing with their previous generation S24s. Honestly, I can agree with the ideology to never pre-order (unless the deal is too good to drop), only buy the newest device if you need it and are several generations behind (like maybe S20-S21 level), and to wait for non-sponsored reviewers' feedback before buying ANYTHING. However, you can't keep expecting that there will be brand new technologies and hardware every single year, and even if there is one or a couple of them, people will still complain about it not having enough... there will always be, at least one year, where a set of optimizations/a single, crucial hardware change/software overhaul will produce a product better than its previous products - which happens to EVERY COMPANY.
I think your thought process is really accurate. I also think the manufacturers slow down the upgrade process on purpose to maximize profit. This year and last Samsung has been helping Apple to release a foldable in 2026. I'm sure they will bring some of that innovation to their lineup in 2026. As far as AI, it's still not fully baked yet, even Apple is still struggling with it. I believe the processors are still ahead of the AI and can do much more than they have been releasing. All this to say this is not Samsung's big year. I would wait another year. Just my opinion. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I appreciate your comments and support! 👍
Apparently the s25 ultra is getting a 50 mp ultra wide camera and the new chip is being modified for the s25 series to be slightly faster than the regular verison
I recommend folks get the S24 Ultra. If you have the S24 Ultra, don't waste your money on the S25 Ultra. Like the S21 Ultra, the S24 Ultra will be a one of one. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with Galaxy AI can already process up to 70 tokens on-device. The chip took 3 generations to refine. The flaws were worked out in S22 & S23 series. The squared off corners means that the S24 Ultra is technically the current and last Note Samsung will make. So this device will be the only unique device as most of the others have the same design language: flat screen and sides with rounded corners. You can still get 6 of the 7 years of software upgrades and security updates. Plus, the S24 Ultra will really be special if Samsung goes back to the less capable S Pen that we saw with the S21 Ultra and the Fold devices. So I agree with you. I'm going to pass on this one.
