Lydia, tell us more about YOU.... your favorite color, food, activity, makeup, holiday, song, singing group, ice cream flavor, etc. YOUR personal likes.
I met my husband in November, got engaged in January, and then we got married February 5th. When you know, you know! There is no time length on how long you need to know each other before getting married. I know people who dated for years, and then divorced rather quickly. I love watching your videos! Thank you for sharing a small part of your life with us. ❤
We met in June, took him 2 weeks to call me. Got engaged in Dec, got married 2/7,, people said it would never work m it’s been over 39 yrs, also, the rumor going around was that I was pregnant, it’s been over 39 yrs, I’ve still yet to have that baby,, I think when you r a little older, you just know, ❤️❤️❤️
I met my husband on June 3rd 1989. He was going thru a divorce and did not have his paperwork saying it was final so he did not ask me out. His papers came on the 8th of June and he called and ask me out for June 10th. He ask me to marry him on August 15th and we were married on Oct 20th, 1989. We dated 4.5 months before we were married. We will be married 35 years in Oct. We had one daughter who was born on June 10th, 1991. She was born exactly 2 years from the date of our 1st date.
I met my husband March, we married in July. I really wanted to wait but we could not find a date that something else was happening. So we got married in July. We will be married 28 yrs this summer.
Met my husband in May, got engaged in June, moved 250 miles to live with him in August, bought a house in November, got married in December. That is 25 years ago this month.
My husband and I dated two months got married after six been married over forty years and raised three children ..I feel I should say nee ner nee ner...I took care of my Alzheimer's dad....my brother accidently killed himself at 18....I watched that almost destroy my family...We all have sad stuff happen ..It's living in this world...People act like they are the only ones...It's pushing through going on ..Ive been bullied.(So as half of the United States) I've been a bullied...( so have half of the United States) I should know better because I was horribly...I've made good decisions bad decisions...it's really called life
Can't wait to see the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Saturday afternoon and evening with baby Ryker and he is so cute and adorable and he is 6 and a half months old almost 7 months old and he is getting so big already and hope Lydia enjoys her first Mother's day.
Lydia, I took care of an elderly couple in 2020 who also had dementia. They were 92 & 93. The wife passed away about 2 months after I moved in with them. I then stayed with the husband (who had dementia the worst) for about 4 months after her death. I continued my friendship with the husband until he passed away this passed March. I saw him almost everyday during that time.
Trace have watch your family since United Bates of America and Bringing up Bates . Lydia so nice getting to know you. Trace Do you still help your dad with the tree service ? Ryker is such a good baby . Live his smile. ❤
Lydia seems like such a lovely lady. It sometimes takes a little time to figure out what works out best for you and your family. If you can swing it financially staying home with your child can be so special. Then perhaps doing what you personally love doing from time to time could be beneficial all around. But you seem like a very smart lady and I am sure you will figure it out. You were such a beautiful model. The photos of you and your brother were amazing.
I loved hearing your stories, Lydia. Your so sweet. You don’t even have a German accent anymore. I went to Germany 5 years ago. It’s a beautiful country.❤
These are my favorites when you both sit & talk to us! I feel like I'm sitting in a room with you ❤❤ I would like to hear you tell your experiences of when you both were saved
Being a caregiver is VERY hard. Kudos Lydia!! That would seem so long for me on engagement. My husband and I started dating Sept. then engaged over Thanksgiving, and married in April! Just celebrated 19 yrs! I wish we all walked and bike more often because that was “normal”. Good to get to know you Lydia. 😊 I loved the interview with her dad. It would be neat to learn more of her family.
Lydia, I wouldn’t have recognize you AT ALL from the modeling photos! You’re beautiful as yourself and the photos are beautiful too! I was single until I was 40 so I had a career. I wanted to be a stay at home mom after I married and we had a baby. After we adopted our first baby, from China, we realized it was a necessity for me to stay home. Financially it was rough! But we made it work! We’ve never been sorry for that decision. Yall are wonderful! Thanks for sharing with us!
Love this...I've been watching the Bates family since they started on TV..it's been so fun watching all you kids stating families..you all have such beautiful families and good values...this old mamaw looks forward to watching your videos..it's been a pleasure to watch your little family grow and getting to know sweet Lydia..hope you have a wonderful week..see ya next week..Lord willing ❤
Yayyyyyy!!!! I loved learning more about Lydia! Another round of questions would be fun for both of you! I ❤ Lydia and love you two together!!! Ryker is my favorite😂 no offense😂 but he is soooo cuuuuute!!!
Lydia, you are such a precious mom😊 Don't feel pressured to go back to work. I was an attorney, had my first baby, and decided to stay home after he came. Then I had another baby and decided to homeschool them both! I never went back to work. That was over 23 years ago. Being a stay at home/ homeschooling mom is the best job ever. The world won't tell you that, but it is true. As you know, homeschooling is one of the best things you can do for your family. You can keep God first place in your family, and you have awesome close relationships with your children! Keep your photography going for family and friends, but don't feel pressured to be a career woman. Those babies grow so quickly!! Cherish the years, and pour into their lives. Soak up every minute. God bless you and all of your family.
Loved this! Great job you two. Would you both ever review your favorite episode of Bringing up Bates? I think they call they reacting to and BUB was from the couch (those were funny!) I was just watching the short one where you 4 older boys were tasting candies from other countries and I was laughing so hard watching Trace laughing...it was so enjoyable to see all y'all growing up and now with Lydia and Ryker what a Blessing.
I love you two so much and the more you all vlog, the more I am growing endeared to Lydia. I followed The Bates family forever so I loved each of those kids and Mom and Dad from the beginning, and as each kid has married, that love for their spouses has been added. Lydia is such a gentle spirit, loving and happy wife to Trace and her devotion and adoration of their beautiful baby boy is immeasurable. Really love her and she a lovely caring addition in the Bates clan! 💙
Love the Q&A I knew Lydia looked like she modelled I’m surprised she doesn’t talk more about it but guess it wasn’t a big deal for her. She’s beautiful all around. I was listening to a pastor earlier that said a lot of our phobias and things that spook us are brought on by things that we’ve watched or seen or heard and I have the same spooks as well as Lydia, but Do you read a lot of psalms and scriptures before bed, and especially when you find yourself getting a little frightened, how do you overcome that? As a young couple with a son keeping you busy; do you go on couple retreats? How do you keep the spark in your relationship/marriage?
Hair looks great Lydia. Great to see Trace. Ryker is precious baby boy. Love the whole vlog. Have a great rest weekend & week. God Bless! Praying always.
Loved the stories. I mucked horse stalls when I was around 8 for free rides. What a fun time! I’m 77 and still love horses! I love your question/answer vlogs. You are a great couple and Ryker is adorable.
Great video ! Just curious if Trace has a job outside the home ? I’m sure they make good money with TH-cam. It’s seems several of the Bates are just wanting Social Media lately.
I really enjoyed getting to know Lydia. What a fascinating life. I always wanted to live in a small town like you did in Germany where you could walk to the store and everyone knows each other. You 2 have a wonderful relationship and Ryker is the happiest little boy
❤ I've taken care of a few elderly with dementia and it definitely stretched me ❤ was good experience for me... one was terrible to care for though 😒 but the other two were so sweet... 🥰❤ I miss them.
You're sweet, Lydia❤ Enjoyed getting to know you❤ My husband and I met when he was 8, and I was 13 ☺️ but then our dad's being pastors we ended up in different states and so we didn't see all the time (just off and on at church camps etc), but i was friends w/ his sisters for yrs😊 When he was 22 and I was 27 he moved to the area and started attending the church I went to😉 ... we became friends and hung out from August til Dec weekly when he FINALLY realized he was liking me as more than just a good friend, haha, so he asked me to be his girlfriend on Jan 1st... ❤ ... we "date" til Feb 20th, became engaged and married that April! 😅😊❤ It's fun because we have a few photos of us at 8 and 13yrs old ☺️❤ our kids love looking at them. Fun fact: I actually am a photographer too and took my husband and his ex fiance's engagement photos😂
That was interesting. You sound like you were a typical kid, teen and young adult, very well rounded and life experienced, that's why you make a great young mom and fun wife. He made the best choice😉
I love you both and Ryker so much! This was an interesting video. Lydia, I am glad that nothing bad happened to you when you would walk to work. It seems like someone in your family could have given you a ride but I was not there, so no judgment. I love it that you two found each other in this big, wide world! ❤🌎
You two r so cute together.I have a idea. How about s tour of the big house. We see bits like yhe kiting room has been painted also Lawsons room wen he moved out.Chad&Erin stayed in a beautiful guest room.Wat do you think will Mr&Miss Bates be up for it.🇨🇦❤️🏠
Questions: 1. Trace, didn't I see on a show that you and Lawson did some trick riding? I don't see either of you ride. Do you still ride? 2. Trace, do you try to learn German? 3. Both, will you teach your kids German so they are bilingual? 4. Do you have German Christmas traditions you will do with your kids? My mother-in-law came from Holland, so she does the SinterKlaas every year with her now great grandkids. They spend the night and put out their dutch shoes and do other things.
Lydia, you are a beautiful woman, wife, Mother. I enjoyed listening to you talk about your life. I am sorry to hear of the hater attack on you. That is the way of the world 🌎 we live in these days. Computers are great but there is always someone to abuse it . Ryker is such a beautiful baby. You have a wonderful husband & family support. That is pretty perfect. Love you all. Take care❤
I love your family so much. Love yaws videos Ryker is so adorable. Lydia have you had your Thyroid checked out hon. Not being mean hon. It looks swollen. I have Thyroid Diease . Love yaw & love The whole Bates family. I hope it didn't hurt your feelings not trying to . I just wanted you get it checked out hon. It make you feel so tired an run down. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love learning about both of you guys y’all are really great people love watching all y’all’s videos. Keep up the good work. Y’all have a blessed Saturday night.❤❤❤❤
Such a great video guys, Lydia thank you for being so open and sharing this insight into your past. I am curious to know if Trace is interested in formally learning to speak German too?
Lydia what was your favorite food in Germany?I lived in Germany when I was very young but I loved Wiener schnitzel and especially German cheesecake.Does your mom have a recipe for that?I would love it.Thanks.You are wonderful people and parents.
My grandma was German and she grew up speaking German. But when she got married and moved from the East coast of Canada to the west coast of Canada she lost the ability to speak German but when she went back to see her family she could understand what they were saying just not able to speak it. My mom would say things but I never knew if it was German or not. Lydia, can you still speak German? If so, how are you going to remain bilingual? Trace, are you interested in learning German? I have gone to Germany as my niece met a fellow from Germany and the family went there to watch them say their vows. They were also married in Canada.
It's my experience that it is pretty hard to forget your mother tongue. My family emigrated to Australia from Malta when I was two years old. Some 60 years later I can still speak Maltese fluently as do all of my 10 siblings.
@@martheseturner995 I would agree if you continue to speak it. Grandma never spoke it again and she was second generation Canadian so I’m not sure how much her parents spoke German. All I know is what my mom told me about her and her siblings. Her siblings stayed in the area where they grew up. There wasn’t many German speaking people where we live. That is changing though.
when i was 11 my mom, dad, my mom's sister and her husband we went to Europe for 1 month, we went to germany for a few days. My grandmother is german descent. My brother was stationed in the army in germany for 3 yrs, he goes back to visit every 2 yrs for October Fest
Our kids are 1/2 german they had to hand over there german drivers license and they handed them an American one so if they ever go live over there again they might have to take the training again but hopefully they will stay here❤
Interesting Lydia lifestyle! Thanks for doing this Q and A video! I didn't watch the tv show of bringing up brats but I did watch 19 kids and counting and counting on so saw the family on their show, but I'm enjoying your TH-cam videos!
I just went back to my hometown after 19 years and nothing changed. Germany doesn’t change very much maybe the big cities maybe they’re adding a little bit but Germany actually is very structured and they don’t allow lot of changes because of the protection heritage and culture.😊
Lydia, have you ever been abroad while living in Germany? (France, Poland, Austria or any other european country) and if not which one would you like to visit?
Lydia, your laugh is uplifting and contagious! I found myself smiling and chuckling right along with you. I would love to hear more about your family, the Romeikes, and more about what your favorite things are. It would also be great to hear if Trace still rides horses a lot and how the remodeling business is going, etc. and your plans for the future for your little family. Ryker is so sweet and he will be crawling any day! 🩵 Loved seeing Maui!
My favourite band is from German (tokio hotel) and also will Ryker also be learning to speak German? As I've been learning the language for the past 18 years
Here is one like your love story. I met my hubby in December 81, started dating in January of 82, was engaged in March of 82 and married in January of 83. would not change it. When God tells you that this is the one you follow His lead.
My sister, brother-in-law lived in Germany for 2 1/2 years. I was able to visit for 2 weeks. I loved Germany. The country is so pedestrian friendly. I didn’t know how to speak German when someone in shops didn’t speak English they went and found someone to translate.
I was wondering what is the best camera to start off with photography? What’s a reasonable price edit program to use? I moved away from my photography and I want to start taking my kids pictures. Thanks so much.
Lydia will Ryker learn to ski or snowboard. My grandson snowboards Has been competing since he was 6. Invited to USASA Nationals for the 11 yrs. I hope ur son becomes a snowboarder like his dad.

Lydia you have to see unsung hero at the movies. I'm sure you could relate to this family.

I adore you and your family and would love to see a day in the life, prayers and love 🙏❤️
Lydia loved to hear your story. ❤️
I really enjoyed getting to know Lydia better. ❤
How did Lydua meet Josie?
Lydia, how did you do your hair and skincare routine ?
when i was 11 my mom, dad, my mom's sister and her husband we went to Europe for 1 month, we went to germany for a few days. My grandmother is german descent. My brother was stationed in the army in germany for 3 yrs, he goes back to visit every 2 yrs for October Fest
Lydia, I love to hear you laugh.
Lydia is stunning!
Our kids are 1/2 german they had to hand over there german drivers license and they handed them an American one so if they ever go live over there again they might have to take the training again but hopefully they will stay here❤
What commercials were you in I’d love to see them! ❤
I would love to hear more about how you met!
Lydia, have you ever been abroad while living in Germany? (France, Poland, Austria or any other european country) and if not which one would you like to visit?
great new stories about Lydia
Do you still speak German with your family?
Lydia, your laugh is uplifting and contagious! I found myself smiling and chuckling right along with you. I would love to hear more about your family, the Romeikes, and more about what your favorite things are. It would also be great to hear if Trace still rides horses a lot and how the remodeling business is going, etc. and your plans for the future for your little family.
Ryker is so sweet and he will be crawling any day! 🩵

You look great in those modeling pictures I wouldn't have recognized you thought but I recognized your brother.
I'd love to see Lydia write a book about growing up in Germany.
Lydia you are so beautiful
I am 1/2 German and 1/2 french my French grandfather lived in Canada
You are the cutest little Family! God bless you! Sehr schoenes Video!
I love your Giggle / laughter. Lovely family 😊
My sister, brother-in-law lived in Germany for 2 1/2 years. I was able to visit for 2 weeks. I loved Germany. The country is so pedestrian friendly. I didn’t know how to speak German when someone in shops didn’t speak English they went and found someone to translate.
Yes really good cool uploaded
Could you show some of the commercials you were in?
Love your family!
Loved Lydia even more after this video. You two are both so fortunate to have each other.
I was wondering what is the best camera to start off with photography? What’s a reasonable price edit program to use? I moved away from my photography and I want to start taking my kids pictures. Thanks so much.
