He could also retire in Thailand if he is 50 or older. If he is getting a VA Disability pension he just has to show 65,000 per month transfering into a Thai Bank Account. He would need to get with a visa agent in Thailand. You don't need to have 800,000 baht or $22,959 in the bank. It's either or meaning 65,000 monthly into a Thai Bank Account or 800,000 baht in a Thai Bank Account. He will have to report every 90 days, however, you can do that On-Line in some areas in Thailand.

I think people should retire as early as they can and enjoy life.. when I was 43 I had stage-four malignant melanoma and I was given two years to live.. I guess they were wrong but I am glad they convinced me to retire at an early age😊
I wear size 13 US. It's even hard to find my size here in Vietnam. You won't find it in the Philippines either. I've seen them that big in Kuala Lumpur. There were a few places that had 15s and 16s there. I hear you can find them in Hong Kong as well.

Retiring in your 40’s is too early, hopefully I’ll still be working at 70
