It is inviting you to hit that lcd with a stick, they had it right with the original octapad, with the lcd over on the left, then they put the lcd at the top, then the bottom with the next 2 devices, now Korg are adding their bit by putting it in the middle of the pads. It shouldn't be this hard to come up with a practical design.
Actually I think the design is quite smart. Pads at the front centre can be quite hard to access as it often involves crossing sticks. Not so front L & R. Putting control panel there makes whole unit smaller. Is 10 pads not enough?
Thats also the same for many drumpad on the market, they forgot that WE are drummer and use wooden stick to play every nuance, i Hope one day AKAI try to make an MPC drum pad , it could be a game changer, Korg try to do that internaly but need to make a better hit pad design.
This thing is pretty cool. That transpose shortcut tripped me out. Excellent demo! So, uh... can we maybe get live looping on the new Electribe 3 Sampler that I believe in my little heart that you're making, please? :3 Love ya!
How good is the sensitivity? Does it catch the 16th & 32 notes, because I read complaints about the sensitivity, at the comments sections of MPS-10 in websites of music-stores? Thank you.
I like Korg products, and this one has some really cool features, but I don't think a form factor that requires players' sticks to sometimes cross over the control panel when moving from pad to pad is a good idea. Personally, I like FF of the older generations of Nord Drum, with the brain separate from the pads. It's two things to mount instead of one, but it's more flexible.
Getting a little worried about Korg. I love them. I have so many products that are great from Korg - too many to count - but the Drumlogue, the Kaoss Replay, and now this really look like they're not trusting their customers and they're trying too hard to be different. I love that they're entering drum pad territory but daaaamn...that layout. How could they not know everyone is going to complain about it immediately? Just put it on the side like the Octapad SPD-30. Surrounding the screen with pads is nuts.
You guys sure picked the right guy to make this demo, that was freaking rad! So cool to see a truly experimental musician do a demo with this thing.
Agree! Nice to see a direct-from-musician view that doesn't feel market-y
Cool, i hope that screen also makes a nice sound when you smack it :D
Factuals 🤣🤣🤣 that's the real demo we need
I love that Korg made a pad like this but I hate the design and screen location.

Hi there! It would help to make a demonstration on how we can import and load sounds and loops from usb to kits and pads.
Just tried it. There is no rebound sound, even at max sensitivity. So you can't do ghost notes, rolls or anything!
The screen and controls location is very problematic.
As any other drum pad. 😂
The SPd is in front too. At least the MPS has pads on the side and the screen is recessed.

And could we get the primary and the shift functions labeled like they were on EMX/ESX generation of Electribes - thanks 😄
@@mack_solo Electribe ESX was the best! Electribe 3, let it be like that!
Una pregunta será que con el tiempo lanzarán el korg tritón para iOS iPad Así como el iM1
CAn it make any other sound other than pipe?

Is layer function like Roland octapad available in this?
How long before stick smashes screen?
Can you increase or decrease the loop tempo?

The demo should had been much better.
Yeah. I wanted to hear more regular drums played against some nice music tracks

Localização do display. Vai quebrar! 👎🏻
Sorry, but this thing has no MIDI input!!! Is that a Joke?
I assume you use an external kick pedal?
I was wondering the same thing or maybe you can have a kick pedal loop thing playing in the background (?)
Interesting
