I really miss Carol with the McKameys. She had such a good, strong alto voice, and I loved the blend that group had. The current group is good too, as well as having that same anointing on their music, but sound wise, my vote goes to the group when Carol was with them. Thanks for sharing their wonderful music.
Carol's replacement is Peg's daughter Sheryl Farris. She has been serving and still does as a pastor's wife. Carol quit because her husband retired from his work. She spends much missed time now with her children, grandkids, and husband. They haven't lost the family harmony. Sheryl sang with them before Carol. She has become a brilliant songwriter; written many of the family's hits. I say this with all love-come on people...you can't be much of a McKamey fan if you don't know this basic info.
