    You sir , have saved my life. Thank you!!!
    I have now completed the last feature of my final. I knew it was a chamfer but I did not how to create the larger cut and at what depth. You have showed me an easier way that worked great!!! Thank you so much.

    How do you get the chamfer in the first place? This is only finishing

    Can we put an bottom offset on the tool... so as not to have any burrs at the bottom of the chamfer???

    How would you do this from a solid square piece of material? Great video by the way

      He's already mentioned about roughing the chamfers before finishing with a chamfer tool in the video.

    Great presentation! Question, can you recommend a good surface toolpath for machining side walls from 0-90 degrees with an up and down motion on the z-axis?

    • @GIANGTHETOOL
      @GIANGTHETOOL  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you have a picture of the surface?

    • @Frankyouknow
      @Frankyouknow 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      GIANG THE TOOL No I'm not at work today so I can't provide you with a picture. Basically what I want to machine is the corners of a pocket that has a 1/2 inch radius and reduce it to a 1/8 inch radius. The pocket is deep that's why I want the cutter to go up and down. One way because I'm limited on flute length and a don't want the cutter to snap off if you know what I mean. I would like it to work as a ruled toolpath but on a solid.

      take a look on this if this is what you want to talk about: th-cam.com/video/-z5Bokbax_A/w-d-xo.html
      normally I will use a flowline for the finish cut
