You sir , have saved my life. Thank you!!! I have now completed the last feature of my final. I knew it was a chamfer but I did not how to create the larger cut and at what depth. You have showed me an easier way that worked great!!! Thank you so much.
I love all of your tutorials, been programming for a couple months now using a lot of your tips. Been helping me step my game up making aerospace parts :)
Great presentation! Question, can you recommend a good surface toolpath for machining side walls from 0-90 degrees with an up and down motion on the z-axis?
GIANG THE TOOL No I'm not at work today so I can't provide you with a picture. Basically what I want to machine is the corners of a pocket that has a 1/2 inch radius and reduce it to a 1/8 inch radius. The pocket is deep that's why I want the cutter to go up and down. One way because I'm limited on flute length and a don't want the cutter to snap off if you know what I mean. I would like it to work as a ruled toolpath but on a solid.
GIANG THE TOOL Hi i been watching your videos to learn more about mastercam im using mastercam x9.. I have a part that maybe your are intetested in making a video of it.. its a jet boat impeller. if can explain how to rought and finish the fins. my e-mail is gaytan1978@ hotmail.com are intetste email me and i send u the file..

I've used your 2D method to cut several large chamfers. This way is even easier! Thanks!
this was what I needed,
it looks a bit different in mastercam 2022 but I found my way around.
thanks!
This source is phenomenal.
Awesome! great explanation, I've learn lots of trick form you. Thanks for sharing.
How do you get the chamfer in the first place? This is only finishing
Can we put an bottom offset on the tool... so as not to have any burrs at the bottom of the chamfer???
😅😅😅😅hahaha.....man use ball bose there for a lovely surface. .do not believe any shit😅...you do not need any offset😅😅😅
How would you do this from a solid square piece of material? Great video by the way
He's already mentioned about roughing the chamfers before finishing with a chamfer tool in the video.
Very good tutorial man good job
+ Gap settings - Tangential line length ~3
Can you make the tool go past the cut surface??
in fusion 360 its called a tangential extension!!

take a look on this if this is what you want to talk about: th-cam.com/video/-z5Bokbax_A/w-d-xo.html
normally I will use a flowline for the finish cut
Thank you
