Try filmora, have just started messing about with it, its cheap enough and works quite well ,but i don't edit videos, i just got it after an accident at work and we wanted to edit the CCTV footage together so we could have a safety video
The only other thing I can think of when the official told all the drivers off was the 2015 F3 races at Monza several crashes and red flags occurred and feature names like Lance Stroll, George Russell and Antonio giovnassi
To me the 850 saloon will always be one of the best looking cars - the splitter and wings made it look so cool despite its design by ruler style. Looked great in red too over in the Australian series
I actually think 95 was the peak of Touring Car racing - just as the international stars were making their presence felt, but our homegrown talent was still able to get a look in. There were so many manufacturers in 1995, incredibly close racing, and the real start of the series going stratospheric in terms of popularity. John Cleland is an absolute legend too, there's some awesome stories that he recently told such as sneaking Alan Gow's credit card out of his wallet on a night out, picking up the tab for an £800 meal with it, and then sneaking it back into his wallet.
As an American I was never able to watch the BTCC during it's hayday...but I really enjoy the modern version. So I can only imagine how awesome it would have been to see the original in the 90s as I was just getting into being a fan of racing. Nascar was the only show in town that was getting any real TV time, Indy cars occasionally and we'd get to see the 24 hrs of Daytona, but a real door banging series like the BTCC would have definitely been a hit with me back in those days!
@@philgiglio7922 Man I forgot about the old school TransAM series...it was good racing, but it didn't get much tv time until we got the Speed channel. Have you watched any of the revamped TransAM series on YT? Still has the great sounds and pretty good racing
I am English at the right age and mindset. I was there for quite a few 90s BTCC rounds. Awesome, and I actually got to look around and under the Audi A4 on a trailer. It was a special time believe me.
Thanks for this Aiden! I was there. 9 years old and btcc mad, it was my first ever in the flesh race. Great memories of that era so thanks for reminding me of it. Got to meet cleland at the earls court motorsports show. He was such nice bloke. I was also lucky enough to be at brands in 96. I had front row seats for the 8 car pile up in the dip between paddock and druids. Such an epic time for racing. Keep up with your great content. We all love it!
I have a weird mental blindspot regarding that blue Renault, I remember the yellow one and the green one fondly but every time I see the blue one I think it's from a different series
1995 snetterton, just saying!!!! Was there and saw the volvo go backwards between an ambulance and a Marshall's post at the first corner when Rydells rear brake failed... I even bought my first car, a volvo 360 because of BTCC.. Awsome days .
Aidan, we need to get you and David Land together for a discussion about Formula One, Sportscars, and IndyCar. You have a close connection to the pulse of European motorsport fans and David is plugged into the IMSA and Indy fans. It would be especially informative to bounce ideas off each other and show the viewers the reality of what people really think about motorsports in North America. People always say nobody cares about IndyCar and I get that, but maybe the racing will be able to move in a better direction before most fans lose interest.
This happened in NASCAR at Loudon one year. There were SO many cautions in the first half of a 300 lap race including the infamous Robby Gordon trying to reverse into Micheal Waltrip before throwing his helmet at him on the track. Nascar brought everyone down pit road for about 10 minutes and gave them all a proper time out while Mike Helton gave them the business over the radio

Go ahead with your Suzuka '94 video. Also Brad Jones was the weak link on the one day Cleland could've won Bathurst. I'm returning to England from my home nation in Australia in June and my birthday is July 9 (day of the British Grand Prix). Look forward to attending some bsbk, BTCC and other domestic racing when I get back.
Every year as a kid my mum took me to Oulton park for the BTCC. The super tourers have always stuck with me since, the sound of them hurtling down to the hissy esses on to knickerbrook has never left me.
The chark did this with the ginetta gt5's at donington a few years back after 1 race was red flaged after 1 lap, 1 with two racing laps and the last with one safe car period and a red flag, all surviving driver (there was 14 missing) were summoned to the start line for a chat!!

Except that weekend, the race director followed through with his promise and red flagged the 3rd race.
And little did people know at the time, Lance Stroll would go on to be the greatest driver in F1 history.

I was lucky enough to watch some on local tv, watching Audis kick ass was quite fun as a kid
Sad the TransAm series ended. That was some close bumper cars racing. And the sound of the 5 liter engines was wild
