This is one of my top three favourite songs ever! This version. I mean, I don’ understand how it isn’t a bigger hit than it is…

I love it when someone is enthusiastic for music, a particular artist or a particular song. That is something very special, but it is also something very personal. I did not know this band until I started watching JTMMs videos. I kept watching all of the reaction he did to POTF. But still, I cannot connect to their music. I don't feel it.
I'm not writing this to talk them down, quite the opposite actually. They have great tone and songwriting, great lyrics. I am just always amazed how music has a different impact on different people and why is that?
The reason I am writing this comment is your last sentence. I have some songs that I personally would like to show to the whole world, because they are so amazing to me, I can't even imagine how anyone could not like it. But at the same time I would be so disappointed to realize that other may just not be impressed at all. So music has become a very personal thing to me, that I am not willing to share a lot.
So, I'm glad JTMM reacted to one of your favorite songs and he was amazed like you are 🙂

Interesting. Thank you! And you are so right. Music taste is so very personal. I have also stopped sharing my music favourites to others. I often became so amazed and in a way disappointed when music that touched me very deeply left other people shaking their shoulders. There are quite many very popular songs, big hits, out there that I simply can’t listen to. I have to turn it off or switch channel if I’m listening to the radio in my car. How music can sound so differently in peoples ears and souls is one of life’s big mysteries. I have a dog. Sometimes I wonder what music sounds like inside his head. And he just continues to sleep… :)

@@bjornfellman8826 Haha, yeah. I asked myself the same about animals and music. Probably it's just noise for them, and they just don't get why we make such a big fuzz about that 😂

A song about finally coming to terms with the loss of someone & the pain of letting them go. The wings of a hummingbird in flight beat in a figure of eight pattern - ♾️
Lots of hummingbird symbolism surrounding loss & death in various cultures.

I was surprised because I thought for sure you had reviewed this already. Again, you have done justice to Marko and my favorite band with your brilliant comments. This version, in my opinion, is way better than the studio version--very different. Before the Alexander Theatre Sessions, I was not particularly interested in "Angel." But the lyrics burst forth here in a way that they seem to get lost in the studio version. Thanks!

You could probably do quite a few reactions listening just songs with "angel" in the title. Here's one originally from 1982: Zero Nine Angel live 1996

"To some, sighting a hummingbird signals that challenging times are over and healing can begin. To others, these tiny fliers are an inspiring sign of hope and good luck. Hummingbirds also can have a spiritual significance and mean the spirit of a loved one is near."

Poets of the Fall is one of my favorite bands since I first heard them in the video game Alan Wake just over a decade ago. This version of Angel is SOOOO moving. May I suggest another great, slightly older band with the amazing drummer/lyricist Neil Peart...the progressive, Canadian rock band trio, Rush? They're well known for their amazing transitions and seamless time signature changes, and Neil's lyrics. One of my lyrical favorites is their song "Xanadu" based on the unfinished poem Kubla Khan by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Check out their 1981 live performance. Other great songs of theirs include: 2112, the two Cygnus X-1 songs, Red Barchetta, Tom Sawyer, Subdivisions, Limelight, Spirit of Radio, Analog Kid, Time Stand Still, and so, so many more. We Rush fans love reaction videos, and I guarantee your views will grow.
