Ida Blue is the most sultry, sassy, brassy jazz singer you'll ever see! She gets you in most happy, surreal, pleasant mood ever.

She’s going by her real name these days, Mara Kaye, dropped the stage name.

Mara Kaye is the singer. She’s since dropped the stage name “Miss Ida Blue.”

Nothing bothers me more than when the vocalist's style is completely at odds with the style of the era; this young lady is dead on perfect.

Great, I want all the connections to Miss Ida Blue .. . Red Hot Mama style like I learned in New Orleans jazz style, and San Francisco jazz style seems very similar. I've been researching this style for a movie I'm planning to put together after the covid-19 recess.
I've had a ball staying home and playing honky tonk barroom piano, and singing songs like "Frankie and Johnny were lovers." Has Miss Ida Blue ever recorded "Rugged, but Right"?
    Is she still around?
