Worked and lived around the area from1984 to 1986. Spent two wonderful years of my life there, partying and sailing at the Club Med in Foca, mingling with friendly locals in Kordon, watching basketball games, skiing in Bursa, visiting other parts of Turkey and Greek Islands on long weekends, etc. The city was much smaller then, not many modern high rises and few express ways. There was a NATO base near by, thus quite a few Americans there...
Hi im looking for a place to stay in Izmir and would like in the city center , may I ask what is the name of city center so I can type it in booking thank you and kind regards
Turkey is in the hands of the ancient peoples of the region. 90% of the people living in Turkey are not Turks, they are ancient inhabitants of the area Greeks Byzantine Jews Arabs Kurds Armenians etc., who became Turks. It seems so from the DNA tests. Look at your own face, does it look like from Deep Asia?
Great informative video footage Global Village.
Beautiful clean Turkish cities with a lot of rich Turkish history
