I needed this🔥🔥🔥🔥
Omg been having this issue with our fleet...thanks for the hack dude.
Thanks for the detail.
Very welcome.
The last connection should NOT be to the battery. Positive to Positive (red post to red post), then Negative (black post on good battery) to a GROUND connection on the dead car -- as far away from the battery as possible. That last connection can cause sparks that you do NOT want near a battery. They can (and have) blown up if conditions are just wrong; happened to my dad. The GROUND can be any bare metal under the hood; most auto makers are now adding in bare metal posts for this exact reason. Read your owner's manual!
Seriously: the ground IS connected DIRECTLY to the bare metal - like seriously: the cable leaves the battery and connects 10 inches away directly to the metal. Yes: manufacturers now have boost posts: but for Every other car, the ground on the battery is the only direct proper connection. ALL others are poor connections to the painted sheet metal under the hood. Learn before you comment.
@@NathanSalama Yes, the negative battery is connected to the the ground. For cars without a post it might be a bit of a challenge to find a connection but it is possible. Transmission bolts are a good spot. I've jump started MANY cars over 40+ years and have NEVER needed to resort to connecting to negative post. A little checking for a good connection is better than the risk of having a battery explode in your face.
