I started this cycle with 10-30k USD. One bitcoin has been just out of my reach, even if I spent my whole crypto portfolio on a bitcoin. So I went in hard on Solana and now I have enough in my crypto portfolio for 3 BTC. That is the Power of alt coins. I think Sol will hit 500-750 and that’s a much better play then bitcoin for me right now.
For me the hardest thing to do with crypto is selling it at a good time. I've had had big totals in Bitcoin and watched them disappear really quickly 😢 Greed is a bitch lol 😆
I can’t let that happen to me. This is my first real cycle. My bag is bigger than I can wrap my head around and the psycho hasn’t really exploded. The amount I have now could drastically improve my families life I mean we could go from getting scraping by week to week to having the next year living like kinked I mean we could get a nice family vehicle. I could pay off my house, but I would still have to work every day and if I can wait for this bull run and it happens like people say the balls I might be able to even retire and I’m getting close to that age but I have no savings all in. crypto yes I know I broke all the rules but it happened. My accident just exploded on it’s own

Someone I know once had 10 bitcoin, he said he bought it around $10k but then sold when it went to $20k. He said he regretted not holding and selling when it went to $67k. I’d bet he still had his 10 BTC now thinking how highly it might get to.
You are on the point, but I invest only in ICOs and presales for Maximum profit.

Will btc etf be responsible to hold actual btc in the amount of the fund investments? Minus fees of course.
Or will it be like gold etf which is a way to get exposure without having rights to the actual gold? They sell the actual ounces of gold by 100x since they only have to cash out fiat without audits.
I guess one major advantage of the btc etf is that we can see what they hold/take off the market.

I'm going to hang on to some Bitcoin after this cycle (and sell everything else) because I'm not sure there will be any available to buy in the next bear market. It seems possible that all Bitcoin will be bought up by institutions by then and the little guys won't be able to get their hands on it. Am I being paranoid?
Agreed. Will hang onto pure BTC, but try to 'layer out' 10% at a time on other forms - ETFs, proxies, etc.

Buy and sell buy and sell or just hold to gain during the whole process
But low in the bear market, sell most at the top-ish take your gains and put them in stable coins, and reinvest your gains back into BTC. Compounding brings exponential returns
Lark, with the ETFs, do you think there will be a significant drop in prices after this cycle as in past cycles? Might prices stabilize as a result of the ETFs to the point where it doesn’t make as much sense to liquidate?

Seems the wall street type aren't much for day or swing trading.... I think it depends on how much goes into the etf
First approved Gold ETF happened in 2004...we all know where we're at with the prices of gold in december 2023...so if these ETFs go live...i think the flood of the money will actually stabilise the whole market and that means no more 80% dips at bear markets...maybe a 15% price rise of BTC yearly, until it starts running short on new cash...Understand people...the higher the value of BTC and other cryptos the more tame the crypto market will become 😏

Bitcoin will be around for another century. It will only contjnue to go up and will be harder and harder to get. Every other asset class is saturated and has counterparty risk. I doubt it will ever be a currency, but it will back currencies, in the way that gold used to, but with finality and more transparency. Every other crypto almost has a team of people, or a company behind it, which I see as a negative.
I might hodl my BTC through this bull market. It’ll be harder to claw back in the future. Consider how many will want it then.
Possible, but BTC will always go down somewhat during the bear markets. Sell at the top-ish, put your gains into stable coins, and buy more during the bear market.

Don't blame yourself. Most people don't have the discipline to hold when prices go up higher. The next time you sell, if anything, keep your principal investment, and reinvest the profit right back into it. It will feel like you are playing free with the house money.

You can buy $20 worth…or $5 worth. You can always have BTC. It doesn’t matter. Stop buying extras. Don’t spend $30 on pizza, or $25 at McDonald’s. Stop buying extra decor for the house, and $7 coffees. Work a part time job, if you have the time, and if you still don’t have the money to invest….then, I hope you’re able to find a little bit from somewhere.

BTC, Gold and Silver that is all that really exists. The dollar is debt not value so its trash. Bonds are a derivative of the dollar trash also or just the smell of trash.
The only realistic way to make a lot of money is to invest a lot or hit one of those meme coins extremely early and sell at the top
That’s a possibility. Or, buy good altcoins and make some money. Unless you buy coins that aren’t being shilled, you will make money.
How KASPA do you need
Best scenario is moving BTC into alts when BTC dominance goes down. At the end of 4 year cycle move those alt gains back to BTC so you have more BTC then if you just hodled.
Easier said than done...

@suer3818 everyone has different goals. Mine has been and will continue to be to have more BTC than the month before. The all time high as you call it will change from cycle to cycle. It's worked quite well for me.
