Why is this software takes punching perimeter less than that we calculate manually?? Although we select footing as its types.

If the load r not imported from ETABS then u need to assign load size on the point of application ..based on that punching perimeter will be calculated

@@ilustraca also on doing so punching perimeter is different.... Based on my experience, safe software gives higher sizes of footing... I have done some examples of Subramanian sir book.. Specially the footing is failing in punching shear.... Can you share some tutorials on SAFE V20?

Sir thanks for wonderful content. Sir my question is different from this topic, I have design rcc column with clear cover 40mm and the same column design with 25 mm. Sir the reinforcement ratio is different for both the column even column load moment etc is same. Plz clarity it. I have design in Etab.

The difference arises because of moment...the lesser cover means more effective depth to resist moment...hence lesser reinforcement will be for 25 mm cover
