God I miss Elsword from back then. I've played a lot of games and been apart of a lot of communities, but I'll never forget the Elsword community from when Elsword was still a young game and people were just coming up with combos for the first time and getting used to spring stepping and such. Legit the most fun I've ever had in my 22 years of life.
No requirements per se, but the more attack speed the player has, the easier the timing becomes for ALL seen in this video. "Attack Speed" is actually a "how fast things happen to your character" attribute, reflecting on just about everything that happens to him/her. That's why with Airelinna some people can escape even enemy skill freezes!
Marvelous! Nice guide you got there, also compliments to the clear inputs like ''holding'' a button. And I must say absolutely genius of using Stepmania for the inputs! Thanks a lot for uploading this!
If I'm doing normal steps, then I usually do it with only the ring and the middle finger (for the right). I handle both up and down by sliding my middle finger along the keys, like you would for Eve, just in reverse motion (down-up instead of up-down). Then, if I have to do it with the left, I just use the index instead. Works pretty well for me.
The command is >>vZ, >vZ~ First you dash, drop down thru the platform and Z attack once which brings u back up. Then, you press the direction key once left or right whichever way ur facing, then drop down and Z attack again, repeating. After you make that first drop, Raven is still technically dashing, hence why you don't have to double tap the direction key again to use his toe smack.
A Japanese elsword player as the video said, and a very good one at that. it's basically and upside down V step but it gives much more opportunities to attack and to dodge as you're on the ground a lot more so you can change direction in an instant. But of course like all good things it's hard as hell to get it.
Another thing you can do for spring stepping is to switch the up and down arrows in the settings and slide your finger top to bottom on the arrow keys.
Well, there's an easier way into spring stepping (not sure if it is but i find this method easier). Simultaneously press the left and down arrow key with your index finger. Middle finger ofc, is on up arrow. Well, if you can press two keys at the same time, then you should be able to spring step easily to the left.
I was wondering when someone was going to make something like this with all the steps tricks going on. Its about time LOL I even learned a little from this.
Go in free-training and practice. You don't have to hold anything down, just be quick about it. My perfect springstep usually looks like >>^v^v^v^ and yes, I do press the ^v consciously every time. You gotta press down while in the air and up right before you touch the ground. It's simply a rhythm that you need practice to perfect.
Kirby can you give some piratical uses for some of these steps? Like the circle step, what am I going to use that for? o-o And I have to thank you, some of these things I was really puzzled on how to pull off, thanks for explaining them in a simple yet flashy fashion. Some were a little disorientating though, like the Platform sweep...Anyway I think you really help me "Step Up" my Raven/Elsword game!
Platform sweep is also known as Endless Pain, as the original video (or so i assume its the first on youtube) was entitled that, and also... NOOOOOO WAI U REVEAL THE SECRET OF IT?!?!? EVERYONE GONNA DO TOE SMACK NAO... i had the chance to be special for once... -cry-
I was hoping for something I didn't already know about, still thanks for the video. Never seen anyone use DDR(or is this DWI or SM?) to reference the keystrokes. I was let down, still a good video.
That's awesome! I did something similar (but for only 3 steps) for our community, Pretty sad we can't share things that are not made by ourselves, or i'd share this for sure.
nope with 1 hand is the goal ^^ you need to react fast enough in using abilities. yet you can trick a lot, for springstep e.g, you can place the fingertip of your middlefinger right between ↑↓ , that way you can do a "wave-like" motion with you finger and trigger an easy springstepping. yet you need a lot of practise to master all that moves, especially springstepping is harder than it looks like.
I got 2 questions for you: How long have you been playing this game? How long did it take you to learn/master those stepping skillz? (It's hard ._.) Thanks in advance for any response^^
+Kenji Tomika well I have desktop and laptop but not a mechanical keyboard I play this game from a loonnngg time and please don't think I am noob I am a pvp player but i can't step I tried everything keyboard problem?
Uh question does the fast fall front slash count for elsword and raven? Or only raven, Cause i'm kind of having trouble with the front slash. Back slash already got it done. Awesome vid by the way learnt a lot from it
Um, Kirby, honestly,I personally think using your Index finger for left and ring finger for right would be easier, leaving the middle finger for rubbing up and down to have quick access for stopping. Just a recommendation, is all. Arctic's style: >>v^v^v^v^v^v^v......

I miss you, Elsword.. I miss you
Nice touch with the DDR arrows very creative on showing the rhythm thumbs up!
man, the way this video is done is so unique...using DDR style, nice

Man this still is a great video
He's considered to be among the best. He's certainly the most famous BM.
Of course, you can tell that even he has trouble with that Hinoppo Step.
Good job. The idea with the Step Mania thing is very nice. Must have costed a lot of time.
Another thing you can do for spring stepping is to switch the up and down arrows in the settings and slide your finger top to bottom on the arrow keys.
love the ddr pad makes it interesting to see what you are doing without recording your fingers
niiiice.
i was actually planning on doing something like this for the Aisha and Eve pilots. good too see i wasnt the only one who though of this...
Happy new year Kirby
I like to see your videos
EPIC EPIC EPIC

Wow Kirbo, this is an awesome video D: You must've put a ton of effort into it, but it came out really well.
IF you're seirous about learning this: Click the settings gear on the video and put it at .5
This is the first time I've heard of u kirdy an thx for teaching me how to spring step it really helped with ranking
Nice video, looks like you put alot of time into these
Dat platform sweep makes wolverine's berserker barrage jelly

Just wow O.O I didn't even know you could do that at 2:40. Looks like i still have a long way to go XD

This WHOLE TIME, i was thinking to do spring step >>^V^V^ and never at the same time...DUDE, YOUR THE BEST
Wow that's so creative! Great job Kirby :D
Thank you so much, it is very helpful and Happy New Year to all of you ! ♥
The best video tutorial ever =O
I noes weres yuus live! .........or ok, maybe I don't 0_0. Thanks for stepping it up earlier today!
Cool!!. Very Epic!,and Happy New year!
The glory days
You know to do these moves you can macro record them, tweak the timing to get perfect moves, then compile them to be usable with any keyboard key.
Hinpopo step is a strictly 2 handed step. In order to do it with 1 hand, you need to reconfigure your keyboard.
oh, you should also consider putting a stepmania pack for those who want to accurately practice the speed of the steps...
Look at the discription " BGM: Stage 5 & Stage 1 - Dodonpachi Saidaioujou OST " ................
Kirby can you give some piratical uses for some of these steps? Love your videos omg.
i could never learn how to do that Spring Step....until now. Thxs! ^^
3 years later, still checking out the vid to master the steps
normal with an usb keyboard with no much keyrolling it's impossible
+shidono you need an ps/2 normal keyboard or a mechanical keyboard (razer is the best for elsword)
I have a Razer
wich one? deathstalker or Blackwidow?
SHIT the my internet crashed after watching the video cuz the pro-ness was too great.
this is awsome!! it makes me easier to understand and fun!
-cry-

Yeah, He PMed me and explained, to which, I am grateful I might add~
Using stepmania to show this...
That's actually pretty smart.
There's no stat requirements for hinpoppo step and toe smack
BGM: Stage 5 & Stage 1 - Dodonpachi Saidaioujou OST
best tutorial ever
Toe smack is actually easier with no attack speed and the speed of toe smack is by how fast you press the buttons not attack speed
A skilled elsword player. Look up his channel.
wowzers this is weird
i havent seen somthing like this
A pretty smart way for you to teach the steps~
I don't ever think that there is a method like this~ xD
Haha wow, I have been using some of those movements subconsciously all the time and didn't even know they had names.
yep same lol
That was amazing!
thanks. gotta practise hinpoppo step now.
That's awesome! I did something similar (but for only 3 steps) for our community, Pretty sad we can't share things that are not made by ourselves, or i'd share this for sure.
I think I could do half of those if I tried hard to, though I might mess up a few times
nope with 1 hand is the goal ^^
you need to react fast enough in using abilities.

It would take me billion of years to learn all of these. lol
dance dance dance..... let's Dance Together!
wow, it helps me alot, thx man :D
hey kirbs~ its me ladypanda, DIS VIDEO ITS ......BEAUTIFUL
You don't need attack speed for toe smack and its actually way easier to do it with 0 attack speed
I got 2 questions for you:
How long have you been playing this game?
How long did it take you to learn/master those stepping skillz? (It's hard ._.)
Thanks in advance for any response^^
platform sweeping still has me at a loss
T^T

Wow nice i really like it O_O One of the best.
good times
Holy hell all I can do is the circle step and the ledge hit
He probably has very high attack, movement, and jump speed
Amazing video, Kirby. Too bad I'll never be able to do this. :D
All these steps can be done without high movement, jump, or attack speed.
Is this harder to perform on a laptop, or am i just really that bad?
+재 kirby use a laptop mechanical keyboard...
+Kenji Tomika it's impossible for my laptop 5years and I can't spring step I doo all the difficult tricks that normal people can't but I never step...
+Kenji Tomika well I have desktop and laptop but not a mechanical keyboard I play this game from a loonnngg time and please don't think I am noob I am a pvp player but i can't step I tried everything keyboard problem?
+Kenji Tomika for desktop I have cooler master DEVASTATOR and for laptop I have a crappy keyboard idk the name

Which arrow am i suppose to break my finger on again?
Uh question does the fast fall front slash count for elsword and raven? Or only raven, Cause i'm kind of having trouble with the front slash. Back slash already got it done. Awesome vid by the way learnt a lot from it
you are freaking amazing !!
Kirby Blader please come on NA Gaia server
How old..
Um, Kirby, honestly,I personally think using your Index finger for left and ring finger for right would be easier, leaving the middle finger for rubbing up and down to have quick access for stopping. Just a recommendation, is all.
Arctic's style: >>v^v^v^v^v^v^v......
