  • Why did gold become a tier 1 asset? Why are the most populated nations hoarding gold? Why is the most prominent and most wealthy pulling gold off the Comex? Today’s guest describes how the changes starting in 2017 are cause for concern for the future of the U.S. dollar and its position as the world's reserve currency.
Andy Schectman, President & Founder of Miles Franklin Precious Metals, says, “What I’m about to tell you is the most significant in my career and maybe all of our lives.” He goes on to describe what he calls “mile markers” that when combined, paint a disastrous outcome for the U.S. dollar.
Hosts Robert and Kim Kiyosaki and guest Andy Schectman discuss the four signs the dollar may be toast and more importantly, what you can do to protect your wealth.

Inflation begins when dollars are printed. Printed dollars are a data input to the CPI. The CPI print is the feedback loop from printed dollars. Keynesians have been trying for decades to print dollars to create inflation-used as a signal to show the stimulus is working. Then before inflation gets entrenched, deflate by destroying printed dollars. The problem here is the Fed didn’t remove the dollars it printed to stimulate. So the higher prices are here to stay for a while. The dollar strength is transitory. You will see a weak dollar once those bonds the fed has on its balance sheet become difficult to sell as higher yielding assets will be more desirable to investors.

I could definitely see other countries holding the US dollar getting pissed off because I'm holding US Dollars to buy a house for about 6 years now and I'm just watching my money evaporate let's say you saved up $200,000 to buy a house well now that same house is 600,000 so you've lost 2/3 of your buying power, you know just like I am getting very upset about this and millions of Americans who have any savings so are other countries who are seeing their money evaporate right before their eyes I could definitely see the rest of the world dumping a dollar they've gone too far and they started their quantitative easing in 2010 they tried to stop in 2019 they couldn't then turned around and started QE again to Infinity and now they think they're going to put the genie back in the bottle I don't think it's going to happen I think towards the next election they're going to about face again and start pumping massive amounts liquidity I think you're only hope at this point if you're holding on to cash is to wait for the crash they're most likely it's going to be a downturn and then once the downturn happens and you start hearing the FED say they're going to lower rates and start QE, then that's the time to go out and buy gold or go out by silver or go out and buy a house go out and buy some asset and get rid of those dollars 👍🏻. At this point it's a gamble but I'm not going to go out and buy assets at historic high prices right now, I'm going to wait and see if there's going to be a crash. They are doing quantitative tightening very slowly but they are raising interest rates so as long as they keep doing that at some point we will have a downturn and that's the time to deploy that cash and get rid of it, I'm never saving cash again, our government and the Federal reserve is out of control and are driving this country into the ground.

With what I’ve learned investing, given enough time, solid investments have the potential to double the initial principal amount, but many investors are instead attracted to the lure of high yields in short periods of time despite the possibility of unattractive losses before even getting out. Now that you’ve made your rounds and have firmly established your theory, do you really think you’ve hit the nail on the head about all this and govt’s are just keeping silent allowing you to spread exactly how this plays out? Nahh. Thank you for reassuring this nightmare scene won’t play out.

Gold will eventually be used to pay back the sovereign debt. It was used to save the day in 1933 and it will be used again to save the day. First the price will go up substantially. Bitcoin is the canary in the coalmine. We are taking about perhaps 25 to 50K an ounce. Then the U.S. will use its gold asset to pay back the debt and then go back to a gold standard.

Since the *_U.S. Dollar_* is the “reserve currency” for many countries, it is used for a variety of transactions and as a store of value. However, there are signs that presage the dollar's demise. To make sure that their cash isn't left behind, investors should consider diversifying their portfolio and transferring some funds to other currencies with greater stability like the euro or pound.
The signs that may presage the dollar's demise are as follows:
    - The trade deficit in US dollars has become unsustainable
    - Other nations want to stop relying on the US dollar
    - Investors are losing faith in America

Wouldn't in hyperinflation, people would actually buy stocks as they did in 2017 in Venezuela? I believe their markets interest adjusted returned over 300% during their period of hyper inflation (crash up). I wouldn't think you'd want to actually sell your stocks in exchange for the dollars everyone is dumping. I'd imagine all assets in dollar denominated terms would sky rocket.
