    Completely mad, mad skills Alex. Indeed an inspiring privilege to have seen all of that.
    Your film-making talents certainly shine through in parallel with the cool content. Great colours + finishes too.

    Dang it Alexander! I can't afford this much inspiration!
    Really nice work, and a great idea. I would love to make a table that can accommodate all of my sewing machines (one at a time, of course).
    I loved the scissors-as-plumb-bob, by the way.

      You always make me smile. Do you write a Blog? You should. This small rolling table has been very useful, I have my second machine on it now and it is great for servicing machines since it can be rotated to suit my needs as I access different screws and whatnot.

    I put casters on all my machines.I modify the casters my worn down sk8board wheels.Some,share a table.Why have a setup 4 every machina?like the size of your table.Space saving is the way 2 go.I have my reece buttonhole and chandler buttontack on the same table.H,A,K,Z and T legs are metal because wood sucks.Well made videos tho.You come up on alot of nice machines too.Of that I am jealous.I am a Tailor of 15 yrs in a well established Tailor/Alterations shop in downtown Portland Or. and I apprenticed under a 70 yr old industrial machine mechanic and worked for his family in a contract sewing factory.thnx 4 the upload.

    Sempre que assisto aos teus vídeos fico pensando na diferença, no abismo que há entre um país desenvolvido, onde se tem a oportunidade de encontrar peças e mão de obra qualificada para, por exemplo, trazer a vida uma Bernina 217 e outro, como o Brasil, onde quase não se encontra nada de peças e reposição e, quando encontramos, são a preços proibitivos...teu trabalho é inspirador. Obrigado por publicar.

    Hot damn. Absolutely outstanding work. Proper swage tools. What other projects did you use those on? That wire gauge seemed way overkill for that application. Not a criticism, I am impressed with your skill and attention to detail. I am going to re watch while taking notes.

    • @AlexanderDyer
      @AlexanderDyer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I choose cable because I like the look, same for the size. Overkill? Definitely! Just the way I like it. LOL This was the first project for the swage tool, I got tired of messing around with the bulky 2 nut clamps and now I'll be ready for the next cable project that comes up.

    Nice cart. I like your shop videos as much as the sewing ones. Is your woodworking area separate from your sewing area - if not, how do you keep the dust away from your sewing machines? I do my woodworking in a shop and all sewing in a room over the garage. I use dust collection in the shop and that helps, but everything in there still ends up with a coating of dust.

    • @AlexanderDyer
      @AlexanderDyer  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      My shop is in a detached building and my sewing area is in my basement. I am lucky like that.

    Nice table Alexander! You are the DiResta of sewing videos. I just got a Merrow and I'm gathering parts to get it up and running. Do you happen to remember what size belt you used on your setup? Thanx!

    • @AlexanderDyer
      @AlexanderDyer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It all depends on the setup. Use a string or better yet another old belt to go around your pulleys and measure the total length then take that measurement and the width to the auto parts store and they should be able to hook you up.

    I didn't see this video make it to Patreon? Have you done anything with adding an air foot lift or push button reverse to an industrial straight stitcher? I recently purchase a Pfaff 1245 that had air lift in place of a kneebar and now I want it on all my machines. Works great in conjunction with a synchronize. I would like to add a button for reverse as well. i imagine you could use an air solenoid in place of a chain and pedal but finding images or video hasn't been easy. Thanks for another great video.

    • @AlexanderDyer
      @AlexanderDyer  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never done any of that but I think it is cool, maybe someday. Thanks for the heads up too.

  • @DanRansom
    @DanRansom 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Alexander, you told me you had nothing when it came to putting servos on machines! Haha. Fortunately TH-cam recommended this video to me, and it's exceptional. Where'd you source those foot pedals at? I'm going to take a crack at making one of these for a Pfaff 230 or 130. Thanks for making this!

    • @AlexanderDyer
      @AlexanderDyer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess I just read the question wrong. This did not register in my mind as what it was that you were looking for.😅 So glad you were able to find it and find value in it. I recycled these pedals and I also made a couple from wood but you can buy them from universal sewing. Have fun!

    I want you to help redesign my great-Aunt old sewing table 😁 too low, hole where machine could be flipped under and closed up. I just put a board over the hole & put plastic risers under the legs. I need to roll. ( and be cute🤷🏼‍♀️). Thank you for your sewing and carpenter and machine skills. Are you married, lucky girl
