Great review Robin! I have to say I absolutely adore the camel shirt you're wearing! Can you do a casual, every day styling/lookbook video for the autumn/winter season? Cheers!
Great battle and video! I have both products and can agree to all the points you made in the video. I think that these two products work much better with short to medium hairstyles. My hair tends to fall and become too heavy if my hair grows too long! Also, the apothecary 87 is so difficult to wash off! 2 or 3 shampoos to cleanse completely!
PLEASE GIVE ‘OIL CAN GROOMING’ A REVIEW OR A BRAND BATTLE OR SOMETHING! Haven’t seen any review of their products but I’ve tried their iron horse grease pomade and it’s really good in my opinion!
I like this clay but the hold just wasn't quite there for me. Can you recommend a similar one with more hold? I should say, I just finished the Lockharts Fire and Brimstone and loved it
Great comparison mate. Would you consider reviewing OGX thick & full (Biotin & Collagen) Shampoo and conditioner? Started using it combined with mousse and styling powder and feels great! Much more volume now!
Great stuff as usual. What's your take on some of the comedogenic ingredients in these hair products? I've never had acne issues while using hair products. I've always used hanz de fuko products without any problem. However, I'm seeing a lot of comedones on my forehead recently and it clears up once I stop using styling products altogether. Is there a solution to this in your opinion? Cheers mate.
With hairproduct anything that gives off a tug and pull on my hair... Is just damage along the way. We lose hair everytime we take a shower, wear a hat, sleep on pillows, I don't need a product that tugs when I apply it. Juat can't seem to find something smooth lately for my hair. Not thick. Not oily that makes my hair look... Well oily. Ergo... I really would love a Top 10 hair styling product video from you. These videos are great 🍻
Great review, although I’m still thinking of Kevin Murphy’s Rough Rider or Night Rider (which one would you say is better?) and also, are you going to review Alex Costa’s new product Forte when it comes out?
Just so everyone knows, hair products that put vitamins or amino acids/proteins in the formula, those ingredients don't do anything for hair health, unless of course you eat it...
I really struggled with that Matte Clay no matter how much I warmed it, it still made little bits in the hair. Great battle. I’m looking forward to what Alex Costa is going to bring and I’m sure you will be reviewing it, so I look forward to your thoughts on it. - Nik
I also had that problem and I think it's about the length of the hair. That happened to me when I had the hair on the top just above eyebrows level. After I let it grow a little I fell in love with Lockhart's.
What’s the best vegan hair product that will give me a good hold but will not make my skin oily midday at work. I’ve tried American crew oduls and still the same problem with making my face oily . Please help !
Great content robin , always look forward to bb, perhaps you can check out The Regal Gentleman matte paste, u product from here in the uk, it’s also a great barbering channel, perhaps a collaboration, could get your haircut there😀
change the product and try when you put the product to don't make waves and just put the product straight and slowly. And if you ask me try some wavy quiff hairtyle,or if ypu want straight hair try brazillian blowout. Results are amazing Try it
Great content robin, always enjoy brand battle, might I suggest you check out “The Regal Gentleman Matte Clay” well worth your time to look at and a UK brand to boot. Also an excellent you tube channel for barbering, very informative and educational, again worth your time to have a look at thanks again😀👍
Apothecary87 is my least favorite clay. Oily/leaves a shine, and just not quite as good as its competition. Best 2 clays I've used: Baxter of California - clay Pomade: Smooth, soft clay, good natural finish, medium hold. Cavalier Clay: heavy clay, loads of texture, matte finish, high hold. Even the smell Apothecary87 claims is Vanilla/Mango...not sure how they got that. Smells nothing like either.
No real difference. If you're hoping that the difference between the two will increase your chances of landing the big date, your kidding yourself. My advice is to go with the least expensive of the two, because there's not enough difference to between them
Man. Get your mustache back and the undercut. Looks amazing on you. Beard doesn't suit you as much as the mustache and undercut. Just a genuine advice.
You decide! Keep your Brand Battle suggestions coming.

Could you recommend some live in products which are beneficial for the hair in the long term
Using Aaron's Pete & Pedro Medium clay right now. I see Apothecary 87 comes up on Amazon and ASOS for example under $20 ! So it is in the States.
Blumann matte paste vs arcadian matte paste
I like Brand Battle so much

Firsthand clay pomade vs Templeton Tonics Oasis Clay!
Nikos Philippas I second that !
yes yes yes
Hell yes
Firsthand is superior in every way, so don't bother
@@davidlin1547 Have you tried the reformulated version of oasis? It works so much better
Hey Robin!
Loving Brand Battle and please never end this!
Huge fan!
The battle between the two oil based clays, very interesting.
Great review Robin! I have to say I absolutely adore the camel shirt you're wearing! Can you do a casual, every day styling/lookbook video for the autumn/winter season? Cheers!
Lockhart's doesn't fail me when it comes to hold. Even without hairspray. And I have the exact type of hair as Robin (just a lesser prep game).
Plz do shear revival cream pomade vs Baxter of California hard cream pomade
I would really want to see a mega battle of 5 maybe for the final, that would be awesome, like a 45 min video on it!!
I love the way you conduct each video👌🏼
Great battle and video!
I have both products and can agree to all the points you made in the video. I think that these two products work much better with short to medium hairstyles. My hair tends to fall and become too heavy if my hair grows too long!

You're the real MVP
I was quite underwhelmed with lockharts when I purchased mine years back. Not it just sits amongst the shelf not getting much use at all really :/
This is so contradictory to the layrite cement comparison. Lockhart had an amazing hold then apparently?🤦♂️
Black gold battle please
Why you haven't done any review on Johnny B products?? Im sure you gonna like it amd you gonna be surprise with the gel 😎
make comparison between cavalier and matte clay pleasee??
Loved the Corduroy shirt❤️
Patrick's M2/M3 vs Kevin Murphy Night/Rough Rider
I like this clay but the hold just wasn't quite there for me. Can you recommend a similar one with more hold? I should say, I just finished the Lockharts Fire and Brimstone and loved it
Great comparison mate. Would you consider reviewing OGX thick & full (Biotin & Collagen) Shampoo and conditioner? Started using it combined with mousse and styling powder and feels great! Much more volume now!
I recently started using Cremo thickening paste and I think it's a worthy contender for a battle!
Another Cla y you might enjoy is the one by Larry King :) great vid as always!

Adding a smoothing serum makes most any product smooth to apply.
Lockharts anti gravity
Wanna see a Forte Series Clay review
Hi Robin, what product are you using currently on a daily basis?
Great review, although I’m still thinking of Kevin Murphy’s Rough Rider or Night Rider (which one would you say is better?) and also, are you going to review Alex Costa’s new product Forte when it comes out?
Cheezus Christ Forte says it’s definitely not made for thin/fine hair, so it probably won’t work at all for Robin
Robin you should try Volcanics Clay Pomade firm hold edition available on Amazon. You will be genuinely surprised
Lockharts heavy pomade Vs reuzels heavy pomade?
If we compare apothecary 87 clay pomade with Layrite Cement clay which product has stronger hold?
Just so everyone knows, hair products that put vitamins or amino acids/proteins in the formula, those ingredients don't do anything for hair health, unless of course you eat it...
Jordan Ebacher really?
@@andrueibarra yes really.
❤️
Can you try hairzone original clay ?
Hi,Could you review or battle the new Forte clay by Alex Costa?
I really struggled with that Matte Clay no matter how much I warmed it, it still made little bits in the hair. Great battle. I’m looking forward to what Alex Costa is going to bring and I’m sure you will be reviewing it, so I look forward to your thoughts on it. - Nik

Bought apothecary 87 just before the video was relessed. it's amazing!
I think one of the best oil based clay is Fuertes clay. Both clays are even close
This is a great series, have you by any chance tried Clutch XL? I have thick hair so looking for something to hold it up for a bit
When you use products on your hair do you wash your hair with shampoo or just water?
House 99 clay, Moroccanoil clay

could you do a review or a battle about Dear Barber Mattifier Clay? Hearing a lot about this recently and been wondering if it's overhyped or not..

Stickmore styling cream vs by vilain gold digger. They have reformulated gold digger around a year ago its way better now robin👌🏽
I have a wavy hair, and every time that im straighting it and put product the waves come back what to do?
change the product
and try when you put the product to don't make waves and just put the product straight and slowly.
And if you ask me try some wavy quiff hairtyle,or if ypu want straight hair try brazillian blowout.
Results are amazing

I think I must have gotten a bad batch of Lockhart's. Mine has zero hold and is shiny and greasy feeling
Robin I LOVE that yellow shirt, hit me with that link or where you got it from brother!!

This was like Kane VS Undertaker. Kane is good, but Undertaker is soo much better.
