Haven't been down there in quite a while because it is so depressing. Going down the alleys behind those streets are even worse and a bit more dangerous. I remember a day when there were tucked away "secret" cafes and night life - not any more - Now it's just sadness and despair.
I was in Vancouver this last weeken and the police were directing traffic because of a moving being made in the area. Then the cop yelled at a guy for j walking. Meanwhile two blocks away you have this mess
You know this neighbourhood inside out, so you better tell Mayor Ken Sim do something more to improve it. I live in Vancouver since Expo86 as a teenager and have seen this hood get older/darker and deteriorate day by day. Thanks.
Good video dude! Judging by the sun, you must have been out and about around 8am. I can't believe the sort of scumbaggery going on at 8 in the morning. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Sad, tragic, and probably could’ve been handled in a different way. You can’t allow this and at some point mandatory treatment or jail forced sobriety might be needed to bring this tragedy of free drugs, open air use, and free pass on crime to a final conclusion.
Makes me sad, I used to go downtown in the 80's as a teenager and it's been a steady decline of increasingly more people every year there without hope ever since. We've had decades of solutions and judgement without improvement, time to stop pointing fingers and start taking care of each other, and not letting people fall into desperation. EDIT: Thank you for posting. Date of the video(s) please?
i finally remembered why its like this, the hard drugs like fentanyl are a strong contributing factor, but the authorities cannot legal force addict's off the streets and into treatment, I read a letter the other day that reminded my why, Its was some 20 plus years ago that a group of disabled people successfully sued B.C for the abuse in mental hospitals, and put in place a law to protect them in the future, i don't know the full explanation, but the short version goes somthing like, making it illegal to force someone against their will into provincial care no matter the reason, but now its not about the rights of disabled people, its about people with severe addiction that refuse out patient care and will continue to use until the day the drugs kill them, So under this policy the authorities cannot legally detain them, apart from one acceptation which involves weapons and violence, the laws in this matter need to change, the sooner the better, not to mention the ever increasing random attack on citizens by these drug zombies.....
Напоминает опиумные притоны . У нас было похожее 20 лет назад. Нужно срочно что-то делать. Вы потеряете поколение. Это обязанность государства, лечить и спасать людей. Очень страшно.
this is NOT all we GOT. smh Clicks and Views , STOP FILMING these people. If it was YOU would you want your family to see you like this>? SMFH . I say this as a person that USED to be down here , Thankfully Clean and sober 14 yrs.. PLEASE STOP THIS ISHT . Do you even donate time to help anyone down there?????
Пока общество не обратит внимание, ничего не произойдёт. Люди не виноваты, виновата власть, которая допустила проникновение наркотиков в страну. Только такие ролики позволяют понять масштаб проблемы.
Thanks

This is not our fault. Hard working tax paying citizens. Remember, its not your fault OR my fault. Elected officials......ITS YOUR FAULT.
