I bought Guitar Hero World Tour back in 2010, and suddenly I had all the GH games and Rock Band games and some other rock music games, I played through all of them. Before that, I had no idea what Metallica, Aerosmith, Beatles, Blink182, Van Halen or Dragonforce are. Rock has then become my life. In 2011, after my birthday, I bought a guitar and started learning guitar. I had learnt several Metallica and Aerosmith songs, rock has become my life. Rock, hell, it is a WAY of life.
Yes man. I used to play guitar hero back in its peak in my childhood. Since than (I'm 21 now) and for the rest of my life Im a rock listenner and a guitar player too lol There are still people who say videogames is bullshit anyway !
Here on the night 50 years ago when Aerosmith first played this song as Aerosmith - November 6th 1970 - November 6th 2020. So spine chilling to ponder the dawn of a new era for Rock while listening to this, and feeling and knowing that greatness is timeless and out of time. Long live Aerosmith and Rock and Roll!!!
I think that in Joe's book he said that he thought the original recording lacked the real Aerosmith balls or something like that....THIS recording sure has balls!
@JAMoore0123 that's because in the beginning steven Tyler was nervous and wanted to hide his real voice behind his "Kermit the frog voice" (as he calls it in his memoir) but over time that changed and you can hear the difference a little bit when you listen to "Rocks" and "Toys In The Attic".
I dunno, it lacks the same soul as the original, and Steven's epic early bluesy voice. Both versions are cool, but the original had that feel that this version can't recapture, in my opinion.
This production is fuck groovie Steve's voice sound fuckn perfect just like the old dope days yesssss somebody give a shot of that. Fuckn assaaayyyyggg
@sableyefan My friend took it from the games soundtrack somehow, you might wanna try find out how to do that because I dunno where you can download it?
There is something I can't quite put my finger on but that whole side of the album has this haunting to it, like the guitars are slightly out of tune or something I can't explain it but the other songs on side 2 all have it, Walking the Dog big time but Mama Kin too. All of em had that and according to the guys on Wikipedia they all hated it, I thought it was brilliant, they wobbled like the Stones who also put Walkin the Dog on their first album but Aerosmith wins that one hands down, they made it their own. Read the wiki on their first album I love Tylers voice on this album, especially on One-way street come to find out he was insecure with his voice so he pushed it and to him sounded like Kermit which does kind of sound like that but I still love it. Another one for the greatest songs playlist .
Honestly, his question was perfectly logical, all of the remakes made for the Guitar Hero game don't exist in a physical format. They have to be downloaded or played on the game...
does anybody know how the heck Joe Perry gets the guitar to scream in this song like he does from 2:00-2:37? That's something I haven't heard anyone do but him
If you were 15 years old when this album came out... you did not know what power it really had. Only after A Smith made about 4 or 5 albums did you know how good this was. Then after breakup then back together PV, Pump, Done With Mirrors, did you know how much more cool this album is. And now...well, just read the back of the original album "Aerosmith" very accurate!
Alex Donaldson, I think maybe he plays a note, on one string, and bends a lower string up to the same note, and as they won't ever be exactly the same frequency, you get some dissonance. Maybe?
West Arkeen Joe's a feedback artist. A lot of what your hearing is calculated feedback. Kind of like a theremin works except with a guitar and an amplifier instead of a hand going up against a antenna.
Even though this is like 5 years later, it's never on itunes or major music sites like that since they only did the remake for the video game, but flvto is a youtube converter that's always worked for me.
@LedZeplican aerosmith really never got shitty, only time I can honestly say so was that short period when brad and Joe left and Jimmy crespo and Rick dufay came in....I mean come on,you can honestly say that songs like "Love in An Elevator" and "Amazing" were pretty damn good songs and that was going into the 90s..Aerosmith has evolved in so many ways, for the good and the bad
@sableyefan i have the whole discography of aerosmith i downloaded it from zamunda.net (im not a spammer) but you must have an account and you can download about everything from that site absolute 100% virus free just sain ;)

Why does everyone forget that Brad plays just as many solos as Joe lol both are some badass guitarists
Black Gemstone agree with you brad is more tech
In my opinion Brad has been the better guitarist since they formed the band. Dudes a beast.
Where did you learn that factoid. Are sure everyone forgets that?
@@trentparris7676 kinda like Mick Taylor just standing back there doing it better than them all.
My favorite Aerosmith tune ever!!!
My favorite also.I’m trying to get my band to do this song
The drumming in the beginning is why I love this song. Put headphones in and it's like thunder

I think they over produced this version. I'll take the '73 version any day.
Right on the nose
What is the album called for this song because I like this version better then the others

Honestly, his question was perfectly logical, all of the remakes made for the Guitar Hero game don't exist in a physical format. They have to be downloaded or played on the game...
@Seanlightning400 origional is more raw and just classic, this is just straight up amaxzing though. i wish i could get the new versions on cd :(

does anybody know how the heck Joe Perry gets the guitar to scream in this song like he does from 2:00-2:37? That's something I haven't heard anyone do but him
Love 2:36 to 3:10
@HippyManEyeballs1 Wait was that a good or bad statement toward Aerosmith
when you listen to the original, then this, steven sounds like 2 completely different people
If you were 15 years old when this album came out... you did not know what power it really had. Only after A Smith made about 4 or 5 albums did you know how good this was. @HippyManEyeballs1 The Devil scream :P
no way to get these remakes on CD? Anyone?
Alex Donaldson, I think maybe he plays a note, on one string, and bends a lower string up to the same note, and as they won't ever be exactly the same frequency, you get some dissonance. Maybe?
Joe Perry is fucking epic!
It's discussion threads like this that convince me that the internet should continue to exist.
West Arkeen
Joe's a feedback artist.
A lot of what your hearing is calculated feedback. Kind of like a theremin works except with a guitar and an amplifier instead of a hand going up against a antenna.
