+Kenshin Himura Could you please share how you are getting on with your glasses. I am looking into the clip on option as well for biking/running/skiing and ideally for regular wear too (maybe photocromatic lenses? Do you have them?). Do the glasses/clip combo easily fog up when exercising as I read in some reviews? Many thanks.
+scuba453 Hello, I am still loving every bits of it. I never experience fogging on my glasses/clip on combo mainly because where I live the environment does not present itself to be suitable to develop fogging at the first place. I've never used it on a very cold environment, so unfortunately I can't give you any feedback about that. I do have the photochromatic lenses impactx2 clear to laser red, clear to laser brown, and clear to laser black. I have nothing negative to say about all the three. All three are just amazing, the clear to laser black, I usually use while driving or while in the boat. The clear to laser brown, usually when I go biking, hiking or trail running over uncovered trails, and the clear to laser red when the trails I am going to go involves significant portions of covered trails (covered by trees). The amount of time it adjust from clear to tint is as such that you barely notice it, meaning it will go to to tint before your eyes get strained by too much brightness in the environment, and it will go to clear before your eyes "ask" for more light. So I am very impressed by it overall. The clip on at first I was hesitant to "force it" to clip-in and clip-out (I was too careful not to break it), then I get the hang of it on how to clip-it in and out, and it become straight forward since then. The clip on fits snug on the frame and it will not accidentally move or become misaligned without subjecting it to a lot of pressure or stress. The only reason I don't wear the Magster all the time is only due to the aesthetics of it, it is too sporty looking to wear if I want to project a more formal look - if you know what I mean. Other than that I wear it as much as my fashion sense allows. I hope this is helpful for you :)
+scuba453 By the way if you only want one Photochromic lens, I'd suggest you get the impactx2 clear to laser black, it has a wide range of uses and is almost the all around lens that you can have.
Recently bought a pair of Rydon direct in frame prescription glasses, as I wasn't satisfied with my first pairs of prescription sunglasses and everday glasses, which were very difficult to come to terms with. I required multi-focals lenses, and having tried last year to find a local optometrist supply with something that I could wear bike riding as well as for everyday use, I found them very irritating. I finally found Rudy Project, who were the only sports glasses manufacturer that made prescription lenses, and from plastic, not from glass too. I spoke to one of the RP optometrist outlets in Melbourne and within 2 months I had my Rudy Project Rydon prescription photochromic glasses that I use for driving, work and bike riding. I am very satisfied, they have a better transition across a good portion of the lense from short to long distance, which I had no end of trouble with at work, in particular, trying to read my computer screen, with my previous pair. The photochromic ability to go from clear to dark is great, although I miss, at this stage, having polarised lenses, which are available, I am very pleased with my purchase (expensive, but Rudy Project are up front about the costs and they were less than my two pair I bought last year!) and very grateful to Rudy Project for being a leader in this field. I would recommend them to any sports person having to wear glasses and wanting something that fit the purpose and look great too.
You prolly dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream all the latest series on instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my girlfriend for the last days :)
Just got my Rudy Project Magster with the RX Clip-On. My first ever Rudy Project product and I love every bits of it!
