Why would that be funny? We live in a very densely populated and therefore densely built country, so tunnels are a necessity here. And that's not even mentioning waterways (we have lots of those) that need to be crossed, or, in the case of this video, a large airport the railway line needs to pass under.
@@PieterBroer I was thinking the water level would be a significant problem for a tunnel going down at Airport Schiphol since it's already 3 meters below sea level. Of course, the engineers in Holland certainly know how to handle and channel water magnificently!

And the camera continues to show why it was worth purchasing!!! Had no idea how clean the inside of the tunnels are, the camera did not miss a thing !! Sunset was cool too 😎

Thanks for another great video. Was this the new camera, it seemed to provide much more detail while in Schiphol Tunnel. Amsterdam Zuid seems like an odd place to end international trains; so few tracks in a congested area would seem to be an unusual choice for the "end of the line" so to speak. Are they planning new platforms for the station?
Just two more platformed tracks at Amsterdam Zuid. You don't have to be a genius to work out that in the long run that will be even close to enough capacity. But hey, we've been doing that for the past ten years now so why not continue for a bit?
Can we please have the departure time and arriving at final destination time. Knowing the local time during the video will let us see the amount of people at that time of day, how high the sun is in the sky etc. The clocks in the stations are often very difficult to read.
@@CabviewHolland I get the feeling that someone does not understand sarcasm. Given the dep time in the intro and the elapsed time on the time bar, times at each station can be calculated. Also he/she can look up those details in the NS train archive, I do. All the clues are there.
Hoe komt u op een opstelterrein? Met een taxi, eigen vervoer, OV? Ik kan me voorstellen dat als uw eerste rit onderdeel is van het opstarten van de dienstregeling van een nieuwe dag is, dat OV geen optie is en eigen vervoer ook lastig is als uw eind locatie anders is dan uw begin locatie, of is dit altijd gelijk?
Collega’s die hfdo als standplaats hebben komen met eigen vervoer. Andere collega’s zoals ik komen met hun trein, zit in de dienst gepland. Als je buiten de standplaats hfdo daar je eerste trein moet oppikken voordat de eerste trein rijdt, ga je met een taxi, die ook in je dienst gepland is.

For example, just seeing the buildings at the start... quite possibly, if someone were to attend architect school in the Netherlands and design a basic, cube or rectangular shaped building, 4 flat sides and 1 flat roof, he or she would be considered a radical? An innovator? In need of counselling? Why isn't there a train signal or sign urging caution upon leaving the long, underground airport tunnel that we may be just about to pass through a portal? Be entering Jurassic Netherlands? Have to brake suddenly for dinosaurs? And if a 4K camera is better than a 5K one a year ago, what would the Cabview Holland Dutch Railways and surroundings look like if we were to go to a negative number? Like - 1K? Or, a minus 6K camera? It should be obvious to you, Señor Cabview Holland Dutch Railways, that a little more information in the description section to this video would be greatly appreciated. Je begint altijd gewoon op je standplaats en eindigt daar. Maar ik ben ook wel benieuwd hoe die op het opstel terrein komt

Waarom reed u bij hoofddrop in het begin zolang 40km/u?
Het voorgaande sein is laag-groen, de opdracht is 40, tot de trein een sein is gepasseerd dat een hogere snelheid toestaat.

Some of these ddz units are very noisy since they got a new wind screen, that is where the noise is coming from.
