Im honestly surprised how strong he is. He didn't really seam that exciting to me but in the test run he was doing some crazy numbers, i think i got about an 80-90k skill and a bunch of 25k charge attacks. Its weird to see a test run be that well built.

yeah it seems like fontaine characters seem to be the only who increase normal attack for c3, *this won't be big spoilers/leak* but wriothesley and neuvillette will also have their normal attack +3 for c3

I think the best rotation in order to get the 5 passive stacks while benny boy's burst is still active is to charge attack twice in the start of each rotation then dihya E->kazuha E+burst->bennet E+Burst->another 2 charge attacks then burst and spam E to get that massive skill dmg
Dehya's resistance buff only last for 9s so you can't just put her E from the beginning of the rotation. You have to put her E after Kazuha Bennet then swap to Lyney. Btw, Dehya's best weapon is Sacrificial Claymore just because her E's cd is abysmal for normal rotation.
@@brofourtwenty2143 Dehya is for resistance to interruption and survivability, you'll need shields if you don't use her. Xiangling just adds more damage so I don't think you can use kazuha, you'd prob switch him for zhongli

I don't see why would you criticise someone just for wanting to try out a new character as soon as possible, a lot of people get hyped by new content and it's not like trying to understand a units kit leads to early burnout (maybe 100% exploration on Day1, but definitely not character testing)

I love Lyney. Immediately pulled for him after trying him out,and he was already extremely good at level 40 with unraised talents. Can't wait to get him even higher after some farming! Also he is very f2p friendly, considering that Him + Lynette + Benny + Xiangling is like one of his best teams (due to the lack of 5 star pyro supports), and those are two free characters and one 4 star who's on the current banner, so very easily attainable for new players. My only headache with Xiangling is, that you have to get close enough for her ult to hit any enemies, and I find it's pretty hard to hit enemies with a charged bow attack if they're too close. I think thoma might me a good character for Lyney as well, but I'm still a little puzzled on how to build that man correctly haha
Even better is that Benny was given for free before so older players got him for free too (or a con for free if they had him already), additionally, he’ll be given away in an event soon too (with a crown) :))

Not really. Hu Tao only loses her HP once (with skill cast), and heals once as well (with her burst). Functionally, you're only having 1 stack of the 4pc effect at a time, which is not good compared to the 4pc Crimson Witch/Shimenawa.
Unless you're a masochist who plays Hu Tao without a shielder to maintain HP fluctuation, she's not going to benefit from the set more than characters like Lyney who drain chunks of HP quickly. I often have Lyney at around 10k-14k HP and you can easily die within 1-2 hits since he's a glass cannon

No hu toa only changes her hp 1 time and since most people use zhongli with her it isn't practical (since you won't take more dmg) but leaks are suggesting that a character will come that damages your own team in exchange for buffs but im not sure if that's true

i would say shes fine since shes a solid shielder. when you get him leveled up to his last passive, just make sure shes the only non pyro character in the team. the free benny from the event and the xiangling you can get from early abyss should be able to fill those pyro needs easy! a lot of bow characters are very squishy/vulnerable so having a nice shield will help a lot!
worst thing about him is him being maximized in mono pyro because his team comps are limited and boring because there’s not many pyro units that has synergy with him
@@rioshin8209 If I read his passive (2:42) correctly, the enemy just needs to have pyro on it to get the dmg increase, and I don't think dendro removes pyro. You need 2 additional pyro character beside Lyney to get the max 100% dmg increase. The question is, is it worth to potentially lose an anemo character (viridescent set) or one pyro ally (-20% dmg) to use burning.
You always run an anemo in mono pyro, you always run bennet in mono pyro, you always run him. thats 3 unit slots with great synergy already locked on, for the last slot you can either go dehya if youre having trouble with being interrupted or use Xiangling for more damage. i do agree that his playstyle and team building is boring but arguing that he doesn't have units with synergy is just wrong
It feels like he should suck with how his kit is but he doesn't... Also he somehow made me beg for Dehya while using free standard wishes. I never thought I'd ever WANT to get Dehya, at least not for her kit. But here we are... I want a mono pyro team and she'd be great for it. I just wish there was a better pyro healer than Bennett. One whose skill heals too so you don't have to use the burst. Why? I am stingy with bursts. So I prefer to keep it for strong enemies. I want a character i can pop out, use their E, then continually heal Lyney, while being mono pyro.

I used Diluc mono pyro for a while in abyss, it was pretty good, Benny/XL/Kazuha/Diluc. Could be a great replacement for Diluc

The question is, is it worth to potentially lose an anemo character (viridescent set) or one pyro ally (-20% dmg) to use burning.
You always run an anemo in mono pyro, you always run bennet in mono pyro, you always run him.
thats 3 unit slots with great synergy already locked on, for the last slot you can either go dehya if youre having trouble with being interrupted or use Xiangling for more damage.
i do agree that his playstyle and team building is boring but arguing that he doesn't have units with synergy is just wrong

It feels like he should suck with how his kit is but he doesn't... Also he somehow made me beg for Dehya while using free standard wishes. I never thought I'd ever WANT to get Dehya, at least not for her kit. But here we are... I want a mono pyro team and she'd be great for it.
I just wish there was a better pyro healer than Bennett. One whose skill heals too so you don't have to use the burst. Why? I am stingy with bursts. So I prefer to keep it for strong enemies. I want a character i can pop out, use their E, then continually heal Lyney, while being mono pyro.
