      JJ, these shooting percentages are out of this world. I know the NBA switched to the new Wilson ball that had better 'grip'. At first the players didn't like it. But I'm really wondering if the ridiculous 3 shooting is related to a stickier ball.

      Steph Curry is the most disrespected player in the league. The refs are against him. He changed the game yet people would rather talk about LeBron, Jokic, and Tatum. Warriors are the defending champions yet they are not talked about that much. The fact that Jokic is expected to win 3MVPS moreso than the reigning Finals MVP is ridiculous and disrespectful. getting 10 assists is not indicative of winning basketball. Don't misconstrue Jokic stat padding for WINNING BASKETBALL. Their is a reason why Curry doesn't have to do that.

    The only people not giving Jokic the respect he deserves are members in the sports media who has never played. Listen to any interview with a current player who has played against him or a former player admiring his beautiful brand of basketball, they pay respects. However, lazy members of the media are driven by ratings to not promote the boring, small-market, Denver Nuggets, and Nikolia Jokic. So they choose to talk about Lebron and the Lakers etc.

    • @krysyn
      @krysyn ปีที่แล้ว +48

      Lebron is a goat, he will forever be talked about. Everyone gives jokic credit, they criticize his lack of final appearances or wins while being on a 3 straight MVP run. and they also argue for embiid which is understandable to some degree, although, I do not agree wit it.

      @Krys Santiago This is not true, the media doesn't give him credit. Media didn't once mentioned that he has more then double G steals, more blocks, more deflections, last year he had the most game winning blocks. Media just ignoring that. Espn do not upload clips with him, like last time with 40pts triple double against Clippers, which was amasing, becouse Kawai played superb game, and they tried several different defenses on Jokic a'd he still was super efficient.
      Embiid has no chance in winning MVP or title. He lost all 3 times against Celtics this year, he rests a lot and has a bad games.

He is getting 31ppg, 13rebs, 1blk, 1.6stls in 34mins. He was doing everything but mostly Scoring. He was only getting 6 assists. He is doing what his team needs him to do. And that's to bring value.

    Jokic not being athletic is the biggest misconception about him. He is in fact very athletic, but not in a "conventional" way that looks pretty. Jumping out of the gym and dunking over people is what most people considered being athletic is. Because that's what you see on every NBA promo video. Jokic's got super fast hands. Quick feet. Just look at how he quick rolls around people in the low post. He often beats guys his size off the dribble from the top of the key. He's got a big body, big frame that he knows how to move and use to body people and dominate in the paint. Just because he lays it up and doesn't dunk every ball doesn't mean that he's not athletic. Doing what he's doing without athleticism is impossible.

    There is no answer for Jokić because you can't really decide whether to focus on him alone or on his team mates. If you don't guard him he'll shoot from range or inside, even his three-pointers are true more often than not so he's dangerous to leave him alone. But if you guard him with more than one opponent, then he'll just create an opening and throw it to some of his mates and they'll score. And his guys are so used to him making some crazy passes that they just start cutting in before the other team even reacts. Also, Nuggets have been passing the ball much more now I think, I might not be right on this but it's amazing to watch them play.

    I tell you why Jokic is hard to deal with. His about 7' tall. Can pass better than a lot of guards. Can push the ball up the floor like a guard. His got a very consistent jumper and range. Inside, cause of his size, he gets boards, easy put backs and picks up easy fouls on others. He has a vision for the game and see things develop that most other players don't have and that is why his passing is the way it is. There is no team that is going to match up well on him. Best thing might be to try and go after him and get him in foul trouble. But he plays all over the place, so that would be difficult as well.
