I’m upgrading from my MBP 16” intel to M4 base chip. Very much looking forward to the performance increase. My intel MBP still works fine however some things are a little slower than they used to be. Nice video, best one I’ve seen including the baseM4.
Hey, Kudos to starting out. But just a suggestion, you gotta add some tonality to whatever you're saying man. Right now it's like reading a script without any pause or anything.
Thanks for helping me to make my decision, I went with Lenovo Legion I9 14900K with RTX 4090, getting double to computing power and triple the graphic power then M4 Max
Pre-ordered the 14 inch M4 Pro with 14 CPU 20 GPU and 48GB memory with 2TB. Downgrading in size from 16 inch M1 Max 10 CPU 32 GPU with 64GB ram. Surprisingly i think they will be very similar in power given the increases on the M4 chip. I think it'll be a more comfortable machine to travel with.
Quite a bit faster, and not having to rely on external storage, which is an extra thing to carry around (he mentioned to travel around with). Travelling with external storage also means more things to take out at airport security, and some people just like having a lot of internal storage for those reasons. Anyways, I’m not one of them, as I ordered a 14-inch nano-texture M4 Max 16/40 48GB/1TB, arriving tomorrow
@@EmptikBestM M4 Pro internal SSD is somewhere around 4-5 GB/s, whereas with newer Thunderbolt 5 external NVMe enclosures we could see over 7 GB/s internal storage is definitely more convenient though. more internal storage means having large files locally without using up a port 24/7 and fiddling with where to put down an external ssd when using a laptop on your lap, unmounting it properly, etc. I've never been to an airport where you would need to take out an external SSD, then again I don't travel to other countries much from the US. around here, it's either items larger than phones (laptops/tablets/cameras are common) or nothing at all (for newer scanners)
I’ve been to 30+ countries and I’ve never had to take out my external drives. I am a video editor so I don’t have a choice but work with external drives. Different drive for different client, keeping projects and files externally away from the laptop so I can resume work any place, any time on any machine. So I ordered m4 pro with 512gb lol, since I only need internal storage for software.
@@michaelthornes @michaelthornes, all good points. @@Tech-Ledger I just don't get that argument honestly. my 16" with a case fits just fine in my backpack, with 22% more screen real estate, which can be especially useful (depending on what you're doing) when traveling and away from extra monitors. definitely whatever floats your goat, but I don't think I'd ever go 14"
