Most items in a drugstore, from Revlon to Max Factor to L’oreal to Maybelline all test on animals. It’s easier to find a luxury or even mid range product that’s cruelty free, since drug store items are almost always sold in China since drug store is more popular worldwide and sells more.

Personally, I've never gotten Revolution eyeshadows to stay as well as other formulas and especially more expensive formulas. Very unfortunate because I like their dupes! I have oily eyelids and use Milani or NARS eye primer..
@@mariekevee4501 I personally have had luck with the Smashbox 24hr eye primer. A tiny, tiny amount goes a long way! I have oily lids, and that one is what works best for me (way better than Urban Decay primer potion and other formulas I've tried).

There are affordable products that look and wear just as good, if not better than, the high end stuff. Once you get the makeup on your face, no one can tell what brands you’re wearing. 😊💄✨
I have this happen with mineral products, both mineral foundations and mineral sunscreen. It’s frustrating. I don’t know much on the topic, but I think it has to do with my moisturizer not being water soluble. And minerals are water soluble. Don’t quote me though, not 100% sure. It’s something that I would like took further into.

Insanely crazyyy....drugstore products have changed so much in the last 10 years! I remember shopping at Walmart and there were literally just 5 foundation shades and almost all the brands had one shade name in common "IVORY" 😂😂 Great video though, please do some more cuz there are loads more drugstore dupes!

@@AnaC143 Ana it is not drying AT ALL. I have dry skin and it has never made it look dry. Unlike most powders which enhance wrinkles the No 7 actually flattened them out. Amazing!
This is absolutely one of my favorite videos you have done as well!! I had some pilling problems the other day as well, I think it was my sunscreen not playing well with my products well at all. I totally agree, the dupe side looks so much smoother. I LOVED your hubby and your reactions, so sweet ❤
I was using a particular hyaluronic acid serum on my face, and then applying my sunscreen over top. The sunscreen would always pill, and I assumed it was the HA serum, but it was actually the sunscreen that was the problem. It took me awhile to figure that out! Once I switched to a different sunscreen, I had no more problems with pilling, ever (and I've used several different sunscreens since). Sometimes it can be just one product that doesn't play well with other skin care in your routine.
@@michellekelly2937 yes I totally agree!! Sunscreen can be a little tricky and the bummer of it all is the one that causes the issues wasn't cheep 😪 I will be using only on sunny days with no makeup. They either leave a horrible cast or simply doesn't play well with other products. What sunscreen have you found that plays well with others? 😉😁
@@LauraFagelman My favourite sunscreen is the Paula's Choice Hydralight Shine-Free Mineral Complex SPF 30. I've tried so many, and this is STILL the one I keep re-purchasing year after year. It's perfect for Normal/combination skin. My skin tends to be Normal to dry with a slightly oily t-zone, and it's perfect. I like the Hydralight because it's not heavy and greasy and is not too matte. I also like that it's not tinted, which are always too dark or a weird colour. It does have a slight white cast because it is an all-mineral sunscreen, but after 15-20 minutes, it dissipates as it sinks in, and then you can apply your makeup. It looks amazing under makeup. It seems to make your skin look even better! I've tried a lot of different sunscreens, and they're all OK, but this is the one that's perfect for me. Note: I did try the PC Super Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 that is so popular, but I didn't like it because it was too matte and felt dry on my skin. Well, I hope I've given you enough detail to decide if you would like to try it. Sunscreen is so personal. You just don't know until you try, but that's the only way to find one you like. Insanely crazyyy....drugstore products have changed so much in the last 10 years! I remember shopping at Walmart and there were literally just 5 foundation shades and almost all the brands had one shade name in common "IVORY" 😂😂 Great video though, please do some more cuz there are loads more drugstore dupes!

i haven’t watched the full video or have i ever seen you before but you just got a new subbie!!! the very first product you tried out , it’s clearly didn’t work out, but you came to a guess that maybe it wasn’t the product but maybe bc it didn’t work with your skin care. other people wouldn’t have given that a thought and just tossed the primer. i loved that so much !!

The charlotte powder darkens the finish a tad while the no.7 kept it light which could be why the dupe side looks more lifted and bright?!

@@AnaC143 Ana it is not drying AT ALL. I have dry skin and it has never made it look dry. Unlike most powders which enhance wrinkles the No 7 actually flattened them out. Amazing!

This is absolutely one of my favorite videos you have done as well!! I had some pilling problems the other day as well, I think it was my sunscreen not playing well with my products well at all. I totally agree, the dupe side looks so much smoother. I LOVED your hubby and your reactions, so sweet ❤
I was using a particular hyaluronic acid serum on my face, and then applying my sunscreen over top. The sunscreen would always pill, and I assumed it was the HA serum, but it was actually the sunscreen that was the problem. It took me awhile to figure that out! Once I switched to a different sunscreen, I had no more problems with pilling, ever (and I've used several different sunscreens since). Sometimes it can be just one product that doesn't play well with other skin care in your routine.
@@michellekelly2937 yes I totally agree!! Sunscreen can be a little tricky and the bummer of it all is the one that causes the issues wasn't cheep 😪 I will be using only on sunny days with no makeup. They either leave a horrible cast or simply doesn't play well with other products. What sunscreen have you found that plays well with others? 😉😁
@@LauraFagelman My favourite sunscreen is the Paula's Choice Hydralight Shine-Free Mineral Complex SPF 30. I've tried so many, and this is STILL the one I keep re-purchasing year after year. It's perfect for Normal/combination skin. My skin tends to be Normal to dry with a slightly oily t-zone, and it's perfect. I like the Hydralight because it's not heavy and greasy and is not too matte. I also like that it's not tinted, which are always too dark or a weird colour. It does have a slight white cast because it is an all-mineral sunscreen, but after 15-20 minutes, it dissipates as it sinks in, and then you can apply your makeup. It looks amazing under makeup. It seems to make your skin look even better! I've tried a lot of different sunscreens, and they're all OK, but this is the one that's perfect for me. Note: I did try the PC Super Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 that is so popular, but I didn't like it because it was too matte and felt dry on my skin. Well, I hope I've given you enough detail to decide if you would like to try it. Sunscreen is so personal. You just don't know until you try, but that's the only way to find one you like. The true test is in the longevity. I’ve found that while drug store brands go on nice, they often start to break down after two hours of wear.
I haven't found that to be the case. Additionally, she left a comment in the notes of the video. She still found that throughout the day, the drugstore side held up better.
The really cheap stuff sticks to the face like g l u e. I used to do doubles in $4 concealer.
Terrible for skin, but fine for looks.
