I actually got in touch with Neil Ross, the guy who does the voice of all the Whammies, and asked him what his favorite Whammy was. I couldn't decide what mine was, and he told me he was in the same boat as me; we both like them all. Just thought I'd point that out real quick.
Whammies are the epitome of "It's only funny when it happens to someone else!" Plus I think the animations are to help cushion the blow from losing your cash. It's one thing to land on a Bankrupt space or something but it's another thing when that Bankrupt space is a little red gremlin who trash talks you and blows himself up

If the question, "What article of clothing does the bride wear to protect her from evil spirits?" comes up with Elizabeth Banks you cannot and you do not want to blurt out "A chasity belt!". If you do, it will be embarrassing and will be on TH-cam for all to see.

Why not reintroduce something they did on the GSN version of PYL, *THE BIG BANK!* Only difference is you don’t have to answer a question to win it outright.
