- This is a direct copy of the laserdisc footage I archived several years ago, for Simutrek's Cube Quest arcade laserdisc game.
Cube Quest, released by Simutrek in 1984, was a futuristic treasure hunt in a 3D Cubic World. In Cube Quest, you must maneuver your space ship through a series of corridors in the Cube. You start off with a radar display of the cube, deciding which of the 54 corridors you want to start in. Each corridor has several enemy fighters that are determined to defeat you. Once you defeat the enemies you zoom back to the radar display of the Cubic World to chose another corridor to travel in. Once you complete all the corridors, you are rewarded with the Treasure of Mytha, Master of the Cube Quest.
Cube Quest used the laser disc for the 3D background images and overlaid computer graphics for your ship and the enemies you had to battle. The cabinet was pretty strange looking and had a vibrating adjustable seat. The seat would adjust for either stand up or sit down orientation.

• Easter egg: Hidden in the monitor test pattern (in part 2) is a short clip of a topless ! From Paul Allen Newell: "This was very easy to trigger as it was part of the test section of the laserdisc and the game had a self-test mode. She's as topless as anything you would see in a PG-13 film. The technical reason it was put there was to give a "face tone" for doing color adjustment (I think there may be a standard one from Kodak as well). I have no idea who the woman is or where the shot came from, that was 100% from the test debug mode programmers, who were having a bit of fun."
