That's a lot of digging, sawing, chopping, lifting, planning, hammering, you done there! You should be proud of yourself!! I know I am! Great video as always! I bet it's great to stand back and see what you have accomplished!

I like the video, but I have some important constructive feedback. Those were some big heavy logs, and they're only held down by those nails. The sheathing and the heat from underneath will cause condensation to form on the cold nails. Condensate is rough on most metals, even galvanized metal like you've used here. Because of how they are stacked, the nails are the only thing holding your runners. You're at risk of having all that collapse on you. So I hope you're not staying there for long. For big heavy logs, think log cabin, it's the same problem. You want to use wood joints to give the structure some strength. Instead of nails, guys will cut and bend rebar into U shapes to accomplish the same thing. Both methods are cheap, and the wood joinery can be free if you know how. Look up a couple of joints on youtube. Search for "wood joinery" and you'll see what I mean.

I do have a few questions. One: where is your outhouse? You would need a private place away from the water and the house to do what was necessary? What did you do with your garbage? Extra used tin foil, etc. Why didn't you build a hot box in the corner of the house? A box with dirt, then you have the fire and hot coals on top of the dirt to cook and keep the hut warm? But very cool. It looked like it was very hard work and took quite a while to build. Being t very nice indeed
Good video. U should consider burning bottom of ur posts logs. Much more life lasts so much longer this way stripping bark of all logs.just thoughts for u to consider.

hello Alex I have a question for you: are those shelter built on public soil? and how do you chose the place accounting rain and possible flooding?
He answered us that this is public land and there's no possible flooding as it's pure sand so all goes through very quickly

Did you get flooded at any time, if it rained heavily, where did the water go?
