I remember our Australian channel 11 call channel sounding like this on a Friday/Saturday night back in the 80s. Mostly quiet here now on 27mhz AM unless skip from the states is coming in. We did also have some big talking stations on our 27mhz channel 8 AM trucking channel back then too. Truckies are on UHF CB now here. Sadly 27mhz is pretty much dead hear now in Australia.
Y’all talking about soft drive I wish someone would take 19 out of his radio they jag off makes it impossible for drivers to get any information I’m all in for big radios I’m fine with that but stay off the channel that moves the country

Ok d rail I got to ask I have a 955 version 2 bought it at a cb shop it recives great but as far as getting out don't do worth a crap I run a k40 antenna with a trucker series power michrophone still don't seem to get out antenna was installed by a cb shop swr is under 2
Give us a call and definitely get a better mic as far as range antenna system is the key. Power and good tune helps but starts at the antenna 706-384-5184 is our number if it is possible for you to come by we can check the whole system.
Get a old Telex Turner RK 56 mike. Any noise canceling mike you will have to eat eat. Have the mike modded for better response and whatnot. The Sra mike is a good mike. Depends on how the radio is set up and a person’s voice. Hope this helps 😃😃.
If you’re looking for a new antenna, I recommend the Sirio Performer 5000. I talk skip 2500 miles out with it using a 955 tuned up to about 105 watts, no amp. That antenna hears and talks great.
Slobbering on 28 and channel 6. That's why he goes to channel 19 where there is no competition. He has a captive audience to sit there and ghost talk to.
