Music has always taken me to places where I would never have been able to express myself, except through the piano. Music opened doors and privileged me with the company of people I would never have had the opportunity to meet if it weren't for my profession. I had the privilege of playing for all types of people, from the simplest to the most important. I couldn't name all my listeners. But this concert in the crypt of the Catedral da Se in São Paulo, left a deep impression on me, because in the audience was Bartolomeo de Gusmão - the great inventor, scientist and priest, the precursor of the airship and, in a way, the airplane. Born in Brazil, he died in Toledo. Many years after his death, his remains were brought to Brazil and today he lies in the Crypt of Caredral da Se, in the heart of São Paulo. I had the privilege of playing for a flying priest. It made me feel like a very important person and all my effort, over so many years, often studying the piano in solitude, was worth it at that moment.
