    This video has helped me alot! I got a BS in IT, and I currently work for Amazon but in Operations/Management. I’m ready to start working on my transition to tech, but have been stuck trying to figure out if I want to go the FE Dev route or UX. I’m very creative and artsy, but also love to build projects. After this video, I’ve decided to go with Front End, and if I don’t like it, I’ll transfer those skills to UX :) Thank you

    Mostly, we see transitions from UI/UX to development. But, your case is different. Amazing! Keep sharing😃

      Hi Dheeraj... The same thing I'm going to do next year. As a UI developer ..it's easy to understand the UI design and one starts doing UI then they would definitely want to understand UX also...

    Im a mix of a ui ux dev and design. Recently graduated with an IT degree with a focus on web dev and design. And i dont know what to focus on. I love desiging a button but through code not through figma so much i enjoy design softwares but not as much as front end coding im thinking to do my masters in software engineering would this enable me more to get a role in front end development?
    Do front end devs at bigger companies get to design a bit?

    Good and thank you for your knowledge sharing. May I know before getting a mentor in your workplace itself where did you searched

      At that time I was not aware of lot of great design mentos whom we have today. A mentor need not be someone whom you can talk to 1-1. It can be someone whose work you admire and whom you think is very approachable to guide you. At that time I looked for people who had graduated from design schools. But now I feel there are lot of self taught designers who can guide you very well.

    Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for this!!
    How long did you take to transition to ui/ux from a developer? You said you got a chance to shadow a designer in your company. Did you work on the development side simultaneously while shadowing or Did you do that full time?

    • @DesignwithShriya
      @DesignwithShriya  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much for asking this Kishore! It took me almost a year and a half to make the transition. When I started shadowing another designer in my company, I was in a full-time design role then and focussed only on UX design.

    I am a Front end developer. I want to add design to my skillset/value. Would UI or UX be a better partner to FE?

    Hello shirya,if I can get an answer from you or anyone else who has knowledge I will be very grateful to you.
    So the thing is I have learnt (HTML,CSS,Javascript, and , React.js) to start my career as an front end developer and I tried so hard to get a job, I was not able get a job as a fresher, somehow I got an internship as .net developer, so mujhe bs iss batt ka dar hain ki .net is not a new technology and iska react.js jitne career scope bhi ni hain ... So I just wanted to ask ki should I start my career as .net developer right now yaa frontend ki job Milne ka he wait kru..
    And baad main swtich bhi kr skte hain hain .net se kissi aur technology main ?
    Thanks

    Hey sister, what is the basic salary for ux designer

  • @guptaarpan_
    @guptaarpan_ 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    are u getting much and more paid being a UI UX designer rather than being a front end developer

    • @DesignwithShriya
      @DesignwithShriya  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah but only because now I have progressed as a designer. If I was still a front end developer I would probably be earning equally well :)
