OMG George. How dare you be sincere and honest about this fragrance. I’m not sure what to do. Bang my head on a wall in frustration or just say thanks for the honest opinion.
Noticed le parfum won 2nd place for Fragrantica's 2020 male fragrance awards. Can't be that bad if all those frag heads like it. I'm happy to own the biggest bottle of it.

To be fair, I agree. the gold bottle isn’t my favourite design. I much prefer the see through milisime imperial bottle they used to do, that one is far more sophisticated and less “bling” like.

I get NO feminine attributes from this bottle. ABSOLUTELY love this Fragrance. Perhaps you got a clone or a dud!! Have been wearing the Le Male for years and this one the last 3 + months. Compliments all the time. Sorry but other viewers totally disagree including me. Its not trash. But you are not holding back, and that can be a good thing , or a bad thing.
Completely disagree with almost everything youve said, and I know a few who say this scent isnt for them, but to call it absolute trash? Come on, now youre just disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing. Dated? It's made very modern and inoffensive. Synthetic? Unreal? This has one of the most realistic lavender+cardamom+vanilla combination. Doesn't perform? (this us your personal skin chemistry sure). I get 10+ hours with a moderate to strong projection. Yes this is somewhat of a linear fragrance but so what? To me it's simple yet done beautifuly right. I understand you're showing your authentic self, which fair enough it's your opinion. But it seemed like you were unfair
I want to expand on what you said and highlight that you feel this bottle has the truest, minty-lavender smell.
It reminded me so much of some fresh toothpaste that would K.O bad-breath. The fragrance hit the minty-lavender-mark perfectly for me too in terms of realism and it made me feel like I was in flowery fields; with sweet hints of PacoRabanne and some honey in the continuum.
I have tried many others in Macy's - SpiceBomb, Jimmy Choo - but none compared to the authenticity of JeanPaul.

Thanks for the video and honest opinion. Although I was just sporting this the other day and complemented myself on how good I smell. And honestly, the longevity surprised me too. I put it on at 4 p.m. and could smell it the next morning. For me, it's just a mix of the original Le Male and Ultra Male. Nothing more, nothing less. I love the latter but never quite got into the former. Le Parfum, however, I really like. Cheers.
I remember when Le Male first came out. It was a very different fragrance than what is sold today. It was strong on another level. You couldn't wash that stuff off. It was amazing. I wear the Superman one every summer and I get more compliments with that fragrance than almost anything in my collection. This synthetic smell you are describing in Le Parfum sounds like a lot of fragrances out right now. I think a lot of new fragrances smell very synthetic. That must be in style right now.
I truly don't have any hope for this line. After being extremely let down by ultra male, I won't take a chance on another from the house. Ultra male just screamed 16 years old in an uncomfortable way and the notes are a disorganized mess. Kinda similar to a fuzzy cream soda with hints of bubble gum. Thank you as always for your honest thoughts. Can't get enough of your channel recently.
They’re very hit or miss for me. I have yet to try this but I love in the navy and the original but was in the minority and also disliked ultra male. I’m glad everyone else loves it but for me, it was the worst of the three I bought
Ultra Male was fantastic when it was first released. You're defo in the minority there bud. Unfortunately the performance these days sucks

This is why this has become my favorite frag channel. No hype, just honesty and very welcome humor.
On skin it is not that good, but in the air it smells nice, although it is synthetic. My sister and a gf gave me a compliment on it, wich they almost never do with my other fragrances.
Because its very sexy. I like it. But only tried it once. But im picky.but 8 hours of wearing it. I think its great
It's funny because I think (like all fragrances), certain fragrances react very different to people's body chemistry.
This doesn't smell overly sweet on me at all. I get mostly the basenotes that linger on me. Very woodsy on me actually. I also get almost tired of recieving so many compliments. I've never had that many before from one fragrance ever.
In other words, what smells great on someone else may not on you and vice versa.
We had it on the channel twice with the women. The first one absolutely hated it. The second one liked it but didn’t love it. Lots of guys got really butt hurt when one guest hated it 😂😅
It reminds us of La Nuit Mixed with Code Profumo with a little Le male. It was like JPG said, we like these, give us this. We don’t hate it, but don’t plan on picking up a bottle after our travel size bottle runs out.

I actually love this scent. It has got me a lot of compliments during the winter thus far. An improvement on the OG Le Male and definitely more modern. Maybe you'll come around to it as well George. 🤷♂️🤷♂️

Get's more compliments than Sauvage or D&G The One EDP for example. And let's not even talk about niche fragrances. To my nose Le Male Le Parfum smells boring and cheap, but ladies and gents do seem to love it.

I actually got this one at the same time as I got Kilian's Angels' Share and I've worn them out at night pretty evenly throughout the winter and it's not even close on the compliments. Le Parfum has won in a landslide, I've even had people tell me that Angels' Share didn't smell good which upset me a bit cos I love that fragrance lol. But yeah, Le Male Le Parfum is a good fragrance and I'm glad I own it.

I wish you would just tell us what you think about Le Male Parfum. I really love it. I do not think that it is dated, nor chaotic. I think it is harsh initially, but then settles down to something richer. Projection is good, and I have received a number of compliments, despite mask wearing and being outdoors. The whole point of fragrance reviews is to offer an opinion and provoke a conversation. I dislike One Million Prive intensely.. Life would be dull if we all liked the same thing. You are absolutely right - seek out people who enjoy a fragrance. Keep up the great work.

HAH, yes, plasticky icing sugar. Cardamom has that effect on me. It either smells weirdly plasticky or weirdly “sick” to me, it just does not work on my skin when not blended well with other strong spices like cinnamon or clove.
I had a similar experience with other cardamom bombs of the 2010s like YSL Nuit and Mr Burberry. Not saying they smell like this, but they gave me the same feeling. It’s really hard to put into words.
Hey George, I know people asking for “cheapies” annoys you but it would be good so see you offer up some scents which, whilst not necessarily cheap, you do feel as though are actually worth MORE than the price they’re offered at; as opposed to a lot of recent releases.

I liked it at first, but I've worn it over the winter months and gradually grown to love it. I do not agree with the 'overly sweet' notes, the 'plasticy' scent or the 'clone house bottle design. Too feminine? That made me laugh. This might be the first time I wholeheartedly disagree with every single part of your review.

I don't know anything about the hype for this fragrance but I got a sample and wore it for a day and I love it, if you like ultra male I don't see why you wouldn't enjoy this, I guess like ultra male though you either love it or hate it.
I smelled this one a couple of weeks ago at the store and didn't like it as well. Didn't see the hype behind it. I could barely smell it too, it wasn't projecting even though it was just freshly sprayed in my skin. In my opinion, Le Beau is way better

@@Luca_Jakobs you can honestly wear it anytime, although the opening is quite sweet and bold, the dry down is very very pleasent, has a very sophisticated and addictive iris note with a hint of cardamon. I actually wore this to my university and got a compliment from my crush. and honestly i cant stop sniffing my wrist everytime i wear it. The only downside if performance for me, i like the attention grabbing clubby type sillages which is not the case with this.

@@jeremyelvin8319 just overspray it. And make sure your skin is duly moisturized. Also, avoid washing yourself with antibacterial soap as it will destroy the oils in the perfume even hours after your bath.
I accidentally bought this one, while thinking buying the original Le Male. And since I lost my sense of smell about half a year ago I've no idea how this one smells or compares to the other Le Males, but I still do enjoy it, as part of my ever expanding collection. 😉

Funny for mentioning the physics comparison, because I may have lost my smell, it still bothers me when even renowned physicists calling the solution(s) of the Schrödinger Equation 'wavefunctions', which they totally aren't.
They're quantum functions, having nothing to do with waves (anymore) at all.
But anyway, let's not digress, back to fragrances. 😉✌️
My son wears this and I hate it. It's so strong with a sweet , powdery old lady at church smell when he sprays it . The dry down smells like nasty cheap incense.

Appreciate your honest review on Le Male Le Parfum. I received a sample of this and tried it after seeing the positive reviews, and I agree it's not good! The opening is o.k. the dry down I disliked and found it annoying. I much prefer the original, Ultra Male and Fleur De Male.

I was never really a fan of the Le Male line to begin with, so I guess I’ll avoid this one like the plague. Or I guess to modernize that saying, I will avoid it like the COVID. Absolutely loved the analogies you used here (Einstein getting a simple equation wrong, an orchestra tuning their instruments), but you always speak so eloquently when you record your videos. Thanks George for putting the brakes on the hype train! Unfortunately I got ran over by it multiple times..Most recently with Ysl Y Edp...Due too Covid, no testers were available. So with 100s of positive reviews bought it blind... Not impressed at ALL especially for the price. Thanks for the video!

To tell you the truth, due to the notes of the perfume, I had high expectations for this one, that weren't met.
IMO, Le Male essence de Parfum represented a better work by the perfumer behind both fragrances, Quentin Bisch. Unfortunately It is discontinued...
I can only give you my perspective, but i almost wonder if its ALREADY been watered down. I bought it from overseas and had it shipped before it was released in america so pretty close or possibly the first bunch in production...i agree with some of what you said but this literally stays on my clothes for days if i spray them and projects impressively. I prefer original lemale but i prefer the parfum to ultra male. Your opinion is interesting because my favorites are old school masculine scents and i sort of made an exception for this sugary sweet juice
Coming from a guy that likes niche (initio, pdm, creed etc) I actually rly like this one, I dont own it but If id get one of the le males it's this one for sure.

Hello. So I enjoy your fragrance reviews. I especially liked the one on how surprised you were about how good of a clone Club de Nuit Sillage is. So my question to you is about bergamot and why is it used in so much colognes. I really can't stand the smell of it and it's just disappointing that it's used so much. Is it a cheap filler?

I was very let down as well, it’s a powdery Lavender bomb. Unfortunately the Lavender is so strong it’s almost sickening and completely overpowers all the other notes other than a little cardamom. The vanilla is extremely faint the Iris is even fainter.. man I like all the notes this is just not blended well at all.
Totally agree. I wore a sample for the gym and got complimented that my deodorant smelled nice. Couldn't have put it better really. Smells like cheap, obnoxious anti perspirant.
Considering what a disgusting candy floss mess I found Ultra Male to be, I’ll be giving Le Male Le Parfum a wide berth. If I want a tonka bean bomb, I’ll stick to Ferragamo Uomo.

Yeah this one seems like a toned down ultra male with a bit more going on but I do love ultra male too, sweet fragrances I don't like are eros and 1 million, my nose isn't in love with 1 million and I get this nasty cigarette smell from eros when it dries down, I really wanted to like both of those I even blind bought them but they ended up being gifts for others.

Good to hear I'm not the only one. I like sweet sometimes over the top scents quite a lot so thought it made sense to sample this but I got the sample and it genuinely smelt so soapy and plasticy I actually thought the plastic tester tube I had was interrupting the fragrance. It really threw me off. Safe to say I'm not a fan either - yet somehow I like ultra male a lot
I use to HATE Ultra, but i rebot a bottle and i love it! Over the top and fun!! It reminds me of a bday scent or going to a festival fair or amusement park with friends. Very novelty, i enjoy it 🥳

I just discovered your channel and I also think Le Male Le Parfum is not good. I had sampled it a couple times in the store, and it's been "blah" to me. But before saying anything here, I decided to go into Macy's yesterday and give it one more chance to make sure I remembered correctly. I sprayed the original Le Male on one arm, and Le Parfum on the other. Le Parfum still smells as bad as I remember, while the original Le Male is still good. So, I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't like the Le Parfum. I like the bottle though, the gold atomizer making it easy to tell which is which at a glance. If only the juice were any good. Since many people seem to like it, it goes to show everybody doesn't have the same sense of smell.
Good to know that I'm not the only one. I was politely ignored when I mentioned that I didn't like it long ago. 🤣 A sort of, "♫ Everybody likes le parfum, so why don't you ♫" I'll be generous though and give it a 2.5/5. The bell curve has shifted to the LEFT.
Have you smell other bottles besides that one maybe christ's? I wonder if its a off bottle, I dont get a lot of what you said. Either way i like this a lot and it last a long time on my skin and that is normally not the case. Though i will say i really do enjoy your honest review. You didnt bump up the points because it is popular or other reviewers like so mad respect for that.

I personally found it tolerable at about the 45 minute mark. Opening was overly cardamom and lavender for me and the iris was very plasticky like you said. The sweetness that comes through makes the fragrance better but it’s still bad tbh. Club de nuit anything blows it out of the water 10x over

I thought I was the only one who did not like it! The opening is pleasant enough, mix of mint and lavender, but I dont like the spicey dry down. Too much cardamom and synthetic moleculars. Performance is pretty poor for a eau de parfum. I really wanted to like it, wore it many times, but in the end I resold it.

It perplexes me the glowing reviews on this. Its overall very very bad. Its like moldy Irises and black licorice blended with flavorless sugar frosting & pencil erasers. Disgusting! I tried very hard to like this as well.

IMHO beautiful bottle and fragrance, not with you on this one. Might not suit your skin George but certainly not plasticy or rubbery on my skin, however, on the other hand, some people love Armarf CDNIM but that smells rubbery on my skin.

I'll be one of those that actually sticks up for it, I can wear it and find it nice enough. I have a bottle, but... I thought Ultra was a bit of a simple mess and to be this is like a refined version of it. It's like driving a 1995 Escort diesel and then getting into a 2018 BMW diesel, it's still the same shite there, but much more refined and nicer.
Maybe if I liked Ultra more, I'd say this is a bag of shite. But I like this, taking it for what it is and not what I hope or expect it to be.

Hm. Yeah it's a boring, tame and fairly synethic frag. I wore it once and that was enough, but I don't think it's as bad as you're making out. Plenty of worse designers I've smelled. But like always, thanks for the review, and it's nice to see a bit of honesty about a frag regardless of whether we agree or not.
I've only had it a couple of days, but it's pretty much what I have expected to this point. It stays true to being a Le Male flanker. Purely on the smell, I would describe it as taking elements of Ultramale, Le Male and Armani Code Profumo and mixing them together. It's not as fruity/bubblegummy as Ultramale, not as herbal/minty/cola-like as Le Male, and not as root-beerish as Code Profumo. Whatever is left of those fragrances in common, that's what I pick up in Le Parfum.
Edit, I'll add one more fragrance. La Nuit de L'Homme

I hate to tell you but it's a fantastic fragrance. My opinion.
Couldn't agree more, I didn't dislike the scent persay I was just incredibly let down. I remember hearing all the reviews and seeing the notes and being SO excited. I love the original, it's so nostalgic for me so I couldn't wait for what was being described as a modern, more mature version of the original. What a let down, that is not what this is at all- It definitely smells much more like Ultra Male with an added leather note, it smells NOTHING like the original...It smells more like Azzaro Naughty Leather or Carolina Herrera Bad Boy- which are both pleasant but very bland. I was almost irritated with the reviewers that I normally love so much for leading me so far astray lol- luckily I only got a sample. Was on my shortlist of blind buys based on other reviews. Just removed it based on your review! Will wait until stores are open again in Portugal to test it. Hate Ultra Male, and the idea of a pink sugary fragrance brings back memories of that fragrance...
To me it was boring and flat and didnt project much.. right away i got Armani Code/ Prada Sport vibes but in a very subtle way.. i expected something way more.. im willing to bet this and Armani Code EDP will be in the same vein
I personally like it and get a pretty good performance out of it, but appreciate your honest opinion. 👍
I find Rochas Man to be disgusting, yet people seem to like it a lot and you suggest it over Le Parfum. Scent is an odd lil thing. 😉
