I dismantled the model minority myth by flunking secondary school once and post-secondary twice

I think there is a lot of focus on the minority, but the only definition is based on facial features - primarily skin color. What many are missing is the invisible minority - immigrants that have an accent. It is sad that only one group is noticed and the other - not even acknowledged that it exists.

This model minority label should be called competitiveness. Canadian culture used to be competitive until the mid 90's. It's cheaper to have a weak domestic education system and import PhDs from foreign countries. Another factor is baby boomers intentionally weakened the education system for 2 reasons, 1. Fear of being replaced. 2. Laziness, too much work to educate someone elses kid.

Haha! This article is very forced and they are mixing up concepts. Seeing someone for only their stereotype, isn't "model minority". It is a prejudice or ignorance before getting to know the person.or learning more. In reality, they are pushing back against Asian culture, that has high standards of success, separate from any interactioms with white people. They are trying to convince us they are pushing back against white supremecy, but it is that they are too North American to be anything like their ancestoral culture. They also come from cultures that make up 1/3 of Earth's population and trying to convince everyone they are the minority. Haha, I think the article should be, "I want the freedom to by lazy." Face it, all cultures come here, then they become lazier and disconnect themselves from their culture. Don't blame them, but they shouldn't dismiss their own cultural background.

Exactly.. if your limits are far above others, leave them in your dust. Who gives a damn.
