I'm not sure on every railroad but generally Class 1's grant up to 120 hours "free time" for the car hire. Before Staggers, the ICC had provisions for free time as well. In the era this was modeled it would have been all paper, with paper time claims, reclaims and counters. ( I worked car-hire for way, way, way to long. ) Railroads, even small ones charged demurrage for customer cars held on the railroad's track. If it was a railroad owned car, they would charge even while the car was spotted. Demurrage is also normally grants 24-48 hours free time to its customers. The biggest difference between Car Hire and demurrage is Car Hire is per hour Demurrage is per day.
Saw a guy with a Peterbilt semi. Had a diesel locomotive horn and bell setup on his rig. I’ve got the horn at home. Looking for the bell now. 😂🤣😂 So you can never have too much cowbell! What does the copper pay? Is it worth the headache of the switching?
My brother in law has a train horn on his Mini. It's hilariously loud. I don't pay much attention to what stuff pays. I just do what I want, and it makes money.
Not sure if you have been keeping tabs on Road Roads Online but they appear to have made a big update, new map, industries and rolling stock, could be worth a look see if you can make a new season on or if the bugs are still as bad as before.
You have to build the diesel stand, then lower it, and then line up the nozzle with the fill cap of the diesel tank. It has to be fairly precisely lined up, and then it will start filling.
@@KerboOnYT Ok. I have built the stand and lowered it, but where can I find the cap for the tank? It's blended in with the locomotive. I appreciate the help.
In the real world you would be paying the home road for each day those cars sit in your yard waiting for you to take them to the interchange.
Yep

It takes time to run the railroad, but I'm trying to do at least weekly videos. Thanks for watching!
@@KerboOnYT oh ya it's no problem, take your time, the time it takes is worth it
15:12 So it's like Amtrak with steam engines.

Reviews I’ve seen have been mixed to negative
I keep an eye on updates, but have no time or real desire to play at the moment
How do you fill up the diesel locomotives with diesel fuel? I can't figure out how when I try to.

@@KerboOnYT Oh ok thanks. Appreciate it.
How did you get both jeeps the same color
You can customize equipment. Open the inspect window and click Customize on the Equipment tab.
@@KerboOnYT have they fixed that for the steam
@@aaronhill8315 You can't change color on the steam locos. That's by design I think
