I definitely think this is the future of emergency lighting. I hope to see more Ambulances and firetrucks use this technology.

i think syncing lights should be a requirement, it should not cost extra.

It's interesting how this vehicle is programmed to use an almost DVI pattern during daytime park, I don't think that's ideal, but customer is always right :)

I yearn for the return of the model 17 Federal Beacon Ray 2 lamp red rotating beacons and a real bug grinder siren such as the Federal model 77. Yes, those really did clear traffic with great effectiveness.

So how much does this add to a build cost vs conventional set ups? And do you actually need to give up an entire exterior cabinet on the ambulance or is there a way to put that system behind the standard door on the interior of most ambulances?

It takes up a reasonable amount of room, but a good upfitter will also be a good space optimizer. It really shouldn't add too much cost, ~%10 more, because many of these feature are standard nowadays on lesser control systems.

Like 35 multi colored lights on a 25 foot vehicle. Is it possible all these lights are causing driver confusion, and why mount lights a foot off the ground. ever notice the vehicle manufacturer doesnt put lights there. The end users are causing the chaos by installation of too many warning lights.

It’s pretty apparent that you don’t have much experience with the Whelen Core X setup. 🤦🏻‍♂️
