I didn't understand anything that was written in the book or what was taught by the school teacher but this explanation made all my doubts clear and I'm able to understand this chapter very well now.
We need to dip it water because if it dry then the smell is unevenly spread and can't identify the smell easily if we dipped it in distilled water(,it has no impurities and less ions so while keeping clothe in it there will no reaction)the smell spread evenly
In distilled water No ions are present..So when acid added in water..they release H positive ions..so we can easily detect the presence of acid in the solution
Crystallization of water - it is the fixed number of water molecules present in one formula unit of salt. Ex: Gypsum contains 2 water molecules, washing soda contains 10 water molecules. I have explained even more details in my channel video part 3 of this chapter. If interested take a look once . 😊

In distilled water ions are absent. Thus no reaction would occur with HCl and NaOH. Where as in water reaction occurs.
Is it correct answer or not.

I think we need to rinse it bcz to reduce the corrosive nature of naoh and hcl...is it correct?
no we need to rinse it since if we take in conc. HCl, it will burn our throat
U guys have an exam tomorrow or soon?
@@lukeskywalker5646 but in the video it is dilute hcl and naoh... 2:50
amazing explanation 💯💯💯💯💯💯
Sir pls tell why we have to rinse in water
In distilled water, ions are abscent. Hence, no reaction would oçcur with HCl/NaOH, where if it's in water reaction will be occur
We don't know why they dipped in distilled water 😔💦
Cause otherwise water contains impurities that may affect in the results of the experiment.....
In distilled water No ions are present..So when acid added in water..they release H positive ions..so we can easily detect the presence of acid in the solution
Why the distilled water realised h postive ions when acid substance present
this is perfectly in relation tot he ncert !! commendable explanation :))
