Unfortunately, terminal corruption is irreversible. It changes you on a molecular level completely. A real life equivalent would be like if all your cells became cancer cells at once.
Wish they had gone further with it, Samus’ corruption doesn’t really do much to her throughout the story. Retro Studios could’ve done some more body horror as her body Phazon load increased. Not too much of course, only enough to really hit home how dangerous Phazon is and make the player worry about Samus. Then have the final boss Dark Samus mutate like crazy as a consequence of taking in so much of the vile substance in a reckless drive for power. Dunno why but looking back it's kinda disturbing to see Samus puking up Phazon. Feels like it showed her at a more vulnerable moment than anything in Other M.
@@ridleyhatessamuscgtfbjjh4010 tbf they were all killed by Dark Samus after being defeated as it absorbed them instead of just letting them go. Samus never really killed any of them.
The whole pirate race gradually loses their importance so the series have room for Metroid Prime (the creature, I mean). Ridley is just one of them, passing from a real badaas in Prime 1 to a weakling in Prime 3.
I think Gandrayda might be the best Bossfight in the whole Trilogy. It´s like an ever-escalating performance. And the Music is one of the best tracks in all 3 games.
One thing that needs to be rectified in mainly bosses in Prime 4 is for them to make higher dmg on Samus, they made way too little dmg to her in the trilogy.

While fighting rundas felt heavier Gandrayda felt rly fking sad, cuz she went out with that scream, transforming into all the others The fact Samus has to look away is pretty telling
So the Leviathan guradians thorought the series were Metroid Prime( the creature) on Tallin IV, Emperor Ing on Aether and then on Bryyo there was Monegar and on Phazee-Omega Ridley
Meh, I'm not sure about the Tallon IV one. Metroids are purely Chozo technology. I mean they created them. So I think the Leviathan that went to that planet was either empty with only Phazon that corrupted an egg already present in the planet which in time evolved to become a Metroid Prime (and as its name implies it was the first "phazon-metroid" and gave birth or corrupted the other metroids) or there was actually a guardian that possessed or fused together with a somewhat matured metroid native to Tallon IV.
@@TanderXS I believe the main theory goes that a metroid escaped the space pirates when they arrived on Tallon IV, as there is no indication of metroids existing on Tallon IV prior to the space pirate's arrival, and the escaped metroid became the first Phazon metroid which entered the broken down corpse of the leviathan and fed on the still living Phazon Core until they both fused and became Metroid Prime. This makes what Dark Samus does to them in 3 super ironic as the Pirates are driven into servitude by their own accidental creation.
I feel like Gandrayda should have fought more like Dark Samus from Echos while transformed into Samus except with running instead of floating around. The dashing side to side and spamming beams and aggressively pushing in to unload would have been a better illustration of how other characters in universe see Samus fighting.
Oh, if you have the nova beam and x-ray visor, while using the x-ray visor, you can lock on to certain enemies brain (Metroid hatcher most notably) and shoot its brain, killing it in one hit
If I remember correctly, you can also use the boost ball against Ghor in his second phase instead of using the bombs and I think it works. I haven't played this game in so long so I have't checked in awhile.
48:22 “Homing attacks recommended” *So anyways, then I started blasting-* Actually I’m getting a hunch most of these boss fights were during a “no missiles” run lol
I assume that if this game comes out for the Switch, it will do away with the motion-based controls, like they did with "Skyward Sword." That would suck, because I thought the Wii controls were awesome and fun.
They will most likely have the motion and maybe dual stick, likr what they did with metroid prime remastered. Not sure how it will work tho. Maybe have a button initiate motion control sequences like when you use the grapple lasso.
Rundas, Ghor, Gandrayda, and the hunters from prime hunters ((especially sylux given his Easter eggs)) deserved better... 😔 Who knows what kind of cool characters they woulda been like had the series not wasted them as much as I love prime 3.
Really wish Prime 3 didn't remove the different Weapons it's predecessors had. Prime 2 did it the best. Hyper Mode would have been a lot better, if the ammunition would recharge over time thanks to your Phazon infection, and reloads faster the more corrupted you get.
They were really reaching for ideas by Metroid Prime 3. I know a lot of it was designed around the aiming controls, but WTF even is a Berserker Lord? Big long armed Space Pirate looking thing that acts like an animal, creates glowing red spots on its shoulders for no reason, shoots big slow purple balls when you destroy them that always move towards its weak point when shot by something else, and it can only be shot in one place but it dies quick then. Weird concept.
Retro was forcced into making Prime 3, theres a couple interviews floating around that tell about it. They wanted to make a Zelda game but Nintendo wasn't having it.
I hope prime 4 has a fight as impactful as Rundas, that music man
And hopefully it isn't too easy since I remember that I beat him with one fully charged phazon mode blast

I've always wondered what Samus's plan was to survive that fall if Rundas hadn't shown up.
Probably drag her hand on the wall to slow down the fall? I doubt the armor would break
Samus doesn't care about such useless things 😏
I always assumed she didn't care, what was more important was making sure Ridley went down and stayed down.
