First and Last Lines of Every Thomas the Tank Engine Narrator

- While I went and fixed this, I thought I might as well make Mark Moraghan's last line in Journey Beyond Sodor as it technically takes place after Season 21, regardless of my opinion.
Same as before, Thomas isn't counted here. - บันเทิง
I’ve been seeing a lot of comments saying that George Carlin started narrating in Season 1. I want to set the record straight here: he only re-narrated Seasons 1 and 2. He officially began narrating in Season 3.
Personally I have no idea how I went 16 years of my life without knowing this lol
@@owendinostudios1200me too...
Ringo Starr definitely got the best last line out of all of the narrators
I love his last line ❤❤❤
Ringo: Alright lads, heading to my All-Star Band now!
Pierce Brosnan had originally narrated Season 12, but Angelis and Brandon returned. He was also originally gonna narrate all the way to Season 14 for both english dubs.
Good one.
Angeles and Brandon were so boring during the HIT era
007
The first narrator from the 80's is former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr
WHAT?!?
Ringo Starr, the best narrator of Thomas the Tank Engine !😊
He's my favorite!☺️
@@MrEyah23it was time for thomas to leave he had seen everything.
It’s funny 80s Ringo narrated since that Ringo was drunk, high, and violent. Any other decade and he’s the most wholesome dude in the world
Michael Angelis is such a big part of my childhood, his voice is like coming home to an old friend.
It was a splended day on the Island of Sodor
and that made Rheneas beam from buffer to buffer
Funny how Brandon's first and last lines work so well together
Same for Brosnans:
Sodor day was coming to the island of sodor.
And he couldn’t have been happier.
These first and last lines sounded like they were in the same sentence/episode
Michael Angelis: It was a cold winter's morning on the island of Sodor. The wind was bitter on the ground hard with frost, and that made Rheneas beam from buffer to buffer.
Michael Brandon: It was a splendid day on the island of Sodor, and that made Rheneas beam from buffer to buffer.
Pierce Brosnan: Sodor day was coming to the island of sodor, and he couldn't have been happier
Mark Moraghan: It was a beautiful day on the island of Sodor, so Thomas and James headed back to Sodor together.
As a child, I didn't know that a few famous people narrated the show (Ringo, George, and Alec)
1:05: Pierce Brosnan: *mimicking the WordWorld narrator* "The end."
My favorite narrators:
Ringo Starr (Nothing beats the original.)
Michael Angelis (His energy was the best.)
George Carlin (I own some DVDs with his narration, and he was nostalgic.)
Michael Brandon (I grew up with the HiT Model Era. Like his energy in a handful of episodes.)
Mark Moraghan (Less annoying and talkative than Brandon and Angelis in the CGI Era.)
Honorable mentions:
Alec Baldwin (Season 5 only. Even though he didn't give that much oomph as Angelis. Alec was still good though. I wasn't much of a fan of his voice for James. The following season for Alec's narration is another story.)
Pierce Brosnan (Underrated. Too bad The Great Discovery was the only thing he narrated apart from bits and pieces of Season 12.)
Least favorite narrators:
Alec Baldwin (Season 6 only. He didn't do as good as he did in the previous season. He sounds bored and half asleep. Plus, he didn't give characters like Donald, Douglas, and Duncan their Scottish accents. That divorce with Kim Basinger must have impacted his narration.)
0:15 no one didn’t notice his face plate move
0:12
Nice one Eddie. My Favourite Is Michael Angelis (may he Rest In Peace)
Wait he died?
He died nearly 3 years ago
Don’t forget George Carlin who died in 2008
He was awesome
I just noticed that, with the exception of Alec, Every narrator says "The Island of Sodor" in their first line.
Ringo starr's based. Drummer and all. They all tried in some form to replicate the legend.
I love how the first and last lines go together. Its hilarious
My favourites
3 George Carlin (in loving memory, died in 2008)
2 Ringo starr not my number 1 but hes really nostalgic
1 Michael Angelis (always my number 1 thomas narrator, he did season 3 to 16. In loving memory, died in 2020) at first i didnt know michael angelis did the cgi ones and the model ones.
Most of the best narrators were from the model ones in my opinion.
Micheal Angelis actually narrated for Season 7 in the US Dub for a few episodes because Alec Baldwin's contract had expired and no US narrator was lined up to take his place, So Angelis took on the role. Then they got Michael Brandon to narrate the rest of the Season
I’m aware, but because it was very short, I didn’t count it.
@@eddiethefriendlytenderengineFair enough, he only took it on until Brandon was brought in.
I miss Carlin and Baldwin (mostly S5) so much. Always makes me sad hearing their final lines when I get to those respective episodes
Technically, George's first narration lines would be in "Percy's Ghostly Trick", as it was the Thomas story for the second season of Shining Time Station, when George Carlin took over from Ringo Starr.
Sodor Day was coming to the island of Sodor, and he couldn't have been happier.
It was a splendid day on the island of Sodor, and that made Rheneas beam from buffer to buffer.
Fun fact: All three UK narrators are from Liverpool. In fact, they're all from the same bit of Liverpool.
Ringo and Michael both grew up in Dingle, a district in the city's south, whilst Mark is from Toxteth, which is next door to Dingle. Given their ages were similar, RIngo (born 1940) and Michael (born 1944) may well have met as children, though that's unlikely. Mark's about twenty years their junior (born 1963) so he probably wouldn't have done.
I have a suspicion that Michael was chosen as Ringo's replacement because he sounded a bit like Ringo even though his voice is noticeably high-pitched (Ringo, famously, is a baritone). No idea whether that was a factor in choosing Michael, but initially I couldn't hear a difference between the two so it might have been.
I loved watching Thomas as a kid, i had the tapes of starr and carlin as the narrators
All of them had a good way of starting and ending their careers.
Rest in Peace Micheal Angelis and George Carlin, the GOATs of their times.
The fact that Michael Angelis first and last line we're on an christmas themed episode is just perfect
George Carlin as the narrator and the male characters in Seasons 1-4 (1984-1994)
Alec Baldwin as the narrator and the male characters in Seasons 5-6 (1998-2002)
Michael Brandon as the narrator and the male characters in Season 7 (2003)
I can't believe Ringo Starr has been the narrator
Yeah, this show has had a very good record of celebrity talent.
He has stated he did take a bit of convincing, but after reading the books (which he'd never had as a child) decided he'd give it a go. I don't know who Britt's second choice would have been (presumably she had one); we'll likely never find out given that Ringo said yes.
Yep, since 80s as first narrator of Thomas & Friends
Ringo starr and micheal angelis are my childhood
Had Brosnan stayed as Narrator for Season 12, it would of been the first Season since Season 2 to have the same narrator for both the UK and US dubs. Although when Mark Moraghan started narrating, Season 17 is the first Season since The second season to have the same narrator for their respective dubs.
Nice work Ed.
Angelis is the most nostalgic. His voice bridged several generations. Rest in peace.
Thomas was my introduction to Alec Baldwin, Ringo Starr and Pierce Brosnan (the latter two I used to get confused somehow).
Last narrator from thomas and friends is from every thomas movies or games
Wow! Almost Every Narrator Are Great.
My favorite is Ringo Starr and Micheal Angelis.
A Scarf For Percy Season 3 George Carlin
even thomas is a narrator (from seasons 9+10=21 - super duper rectangular 24)
0:58. I wish Michael Brandon had done Seasons 17-18 and movies King of the Railway and Tale of the Brave and then left afterwards
This is a nice video!
Bless every single one of these Narrators.
And the rest of the seasons is where Thomas narrates the show
Michael Brandon’s first line was the first line of No Sleep For Cranky and Mark Moraghan’s last line was the last line of Confused Coaches
Michael Brandon officially began narrating in Season 7. He re-narrated select Season 6 episodes for PBS broadcasts. On the other hand, Journey Beyond Sodor was produced after Season 21, so it chronologically takes place after, so Mark Moraghan's last line is in there
Baldwin is and still is my favorite narrator when it comes to those who narrated Thomas.
Ringo was the most iconic.
So was Carlin, Angelis,Baldwin, and even John Wick himself Mr. Pierce Broshan
Ringo Starr (UK/US)
First line: Thomas and Gordon
Last line: Thomas and the missing christmas tree
George Carlin (US)
First line: Thomas and Gordon
Last line: mind that bike
Michael Angelis (UK)
First line: a scarf for Percy
Last line: the christmas tree express
Alec Baldwin (US)
First line: Cranky Bugs
Last line: Foulty whistles
Michael Brandon (US)
First line: Emily's new coaches
Last line: The Christmas Tree Express
Pierce Brosnan (UK/US)
First line: The Great Discovery
Last line: the Great Discovery
Mark Moraghan (UK/US)
First line: King of the railway
Last line: Journey Beyond Sodor
It was a splendid day on the Island of Sodor, and that made Rheneas beam from buffer to buffer
UK Versions
Ringo Starr Seasons 1 and 2
(1984-1986)
Michael Angelis Seasons 3-16
(1991-2012)
Thomas is a Tank Engine who lives at a big station on the island of sodor, it's no fun getting stuck in the snow whispered thomas to percy but it was worth it for this party happy christmas percy happy christmas thomas
Michel anglelis is the is a classic narrator ever in the Thomas series
Ringo and George were my favorites as a kid
The narrator from seasons 21-24 is Thomas himself (to be intended)
"Stupid Nonsense I wouldn't brought them I know and if I had breakdown or something"
Even though Ringo Starr narrated most of Seasons 1 and 2, he didn't narrate all of season 2. George Carlin started narrating from Season 1 and stopped at season 4. Would say nonetheless that Ringo Starr is fully the narrator for the UK despite him narrating Season 1 and some episodes for season 2 for the US. Mark Moraghan stopped being the narrator at the final episode of Season 21: A Shed for Edward, not JBS.
As noticed, Ringo Starr was the narrator of Thomas & Friends
Carlin joined in s1
He re-narrated Seasons 1 and 2. He officially began narrating in Season 3
1:00 - 1:06 The Great Discovery but interest was quickly lost
Are you forgetting that George Carlin also was the US narrator in seasons 1 and 2?
He was, but he only re-narrated them after Ringo didn’t return for Season 3.
George Carlin will always be my favorite. Ringo Starr and Michal Angelis are next in line
I favorite narrators are ringo starr michael angelis George Carlin alec baldwin michael Brandon mark moraghan and pierce brosman
Mark is a perfect mix of Michael Angelis and ringo star
I thought it might make well George Carlin re-narrating seasons 1-2 and Michael Brandon re-narrating Season 6
1. Percy's Ghostly Trick was the first one that George Carlin did and A Proud Day For James was the last one he did.
2. Cranky Bugs was the first one Alec Baldwin did and Jack Jumps In was the last one he did.
3. Thomas To The Rescue was the first one that Michael Brandon did.
You’re either wrong or referring to production order.
@@eddiethefriendlytenderengine I'm referring to USA order
Well, the UK and Production orders are the most canon than anything, so I’ve gone with those.
Nah, Jack Jumps In just never got a US release until 2016, because when New Friends for Thomas came out and Baldwin had left they had no Us narrator until Michael Brandon so they used Michael Angelis.
That does not matter. I judge by the UK and Production orders of the episodes.
Don't want to be that guy but I believe brandon narrated season 8 first and was then asked to do season 7 as well.
Yeah, I guess you’re right.
My favorite narrators are George Carlin Michael Angelis and Ringo Starr.
My 3 favorites of narrator is I remember and I seen in my childhood of Thomas & Friends:
George Carlin - (Season 1-4)
Alec Baldwin - (Season 5-6, Thomas and the Magic Railroad)
Michael Brandon - (Season 7-16)
Michael Brandon also re-narrated some episodes from season 6 as well.
Alec Baldwin is also a Hollywood star and American actor
My favorite narrator is Michael Brandon and mark moraghan George Carlin
A Beatles member narrated on Thomas? I'm surprised
That's only the tip of the iceberg, as you’ve seen in this video.
Ringo Starr, Michael Angelis and Brandon, Alec Baldwin and Pierce Brosnan are my favorites
0:54 I think Michael Brandon is the best narrator for the show since I mostly watch the thomas episodes that he narrated in
For the netherlands Erik de zwart did everything until the cgi came
Only a few specials had someone else
0:00 0:05 Ringo Starr
0:28 0:35 George Carlin
With all the different narrators on Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, I'm surprised that John Cleese was never a Thomas narrator. In fact, I think John Cleese would probably be a UK narrator since he's English
That sounds pretty good. I also would’ve loved to hear Morgan Freeman or Keith David as US narrators at one point.
@@eddiethefriendlytenderengine if Morgan Freeman or Keith David were a Thomas narrator, then they would be the only narrators of the series to be African-Americans
0:01 Ringo Starr
0:29 George Carlin
I'm upset that all 7 narrators had to leave thomas became the narrator in season 22-24
My favorite is Ringo Starr and Micheal Angelis
0:55
If ringo starr re-narrated season 3
Michael Brandon is my favorite narrator
0:28 George Carlin, first line was un the episode Thomas and Gordon, obiouly it isn't a scarf for percy
He officially started narrating in Season 3. He re-narrated Seasons 1 and 2.
My favorites are Ringo Starr, George Carlin, Alec Baldwin, Pierce Bronson, & Michael Brandon (Season 7)
But Mark Moraghan also narrated season 21 which came out after jbs
At the time of making this, I imagined that Journey Beyond Sodor took place after Season 21, because it was produced after it. However, now, more information has revealed the other way around.
George Carlin is my favorite
Mine too
Mine too
Michael angelis is the longest narrator
My favorite Narrator is Michael Brandon
Michael Brandon is also my favorite narrator to
RINGOOOOOOOOOO

I Love all them
Michael Jackie's (S1-S3)

Thomas - Ghalling Calling (S12-S24)

Is it just me or mark moraghan sounds way to much like Michael angelis
I love Alec Baldwin, George Carlin and Ringo Starr!
Me too
Both artists
BRING BACK RINGO
Michael Angelis is the best
I agree. I may be an American, but Angelis is my favorite.
Technically Carlin did Seasons 1-4
Well he started by narrating Season 3.
I like Ringo Starr And Michael Brandon
George Carlin did it since season 1
Who the hell says happy Christmas
Apparently, British people.
@@eddiethefriendlytenderengine lmao
You clicked for George Carlin.
Alec baldwin is the GOAT at it
why did Ringo Starr only narrate 2 seasons
From what I’ve heard, he went back to his music career during the five years between Seasons 2 and 3
Shouldn’t George Carlin’s first line be from Thomas Gets Tricked?
Well, George officially started narrating in Season 3. He merely re-narrated Seasons 1 and 2.
Interesting
007
My favourite is ringo star
bro george carlins first line was the same as ringo starr's
George Carlin re-narrated the first two seasons. He officially started narrating in season 3.
Wow
Hi
