Thank you Dr. Brown for sharing and for being a voice of reason in an unreasonable world. May God bless you and bless Israel for being so kind hearted and loving toward her enemies, as hate filled and unreasonable as they are, and without reason.

Christians need to understand what the Talmud has to say about Christ and wake up to the idolatry in the church for its worship of Israel.

There is only one place in the Middle East where Christians feel safe...Israel. Islam is destroying the 2000 year old Christian Civilization of the Middle East.

Yes, that is true for now. I would probably prefer to stay in Israel than in the muslim nations; but there are not really any "good guys" in the program. They are all motivated by satan in one way or the other.
The current situation in Israel is that the returning anti Christ Jews are still under a curse as they were when the nation was destroyed in 70 AD.
Matt 23:38,39... 'Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord'.
The natural Jew does not stand within a valid covenant commitment to claim the land. The Abrahamic is not according to the flesh, the Mosaic has been replaced by the New, and the Davidic can only be realized through resurrection life. The only genuine occupants of the land will be those of the true Abrahamic seed, which is Christ. Gal 6:15... 'For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature'.

God bless Israel the light in a sea of authoritarian totalitarian darkness and tyranny. I suggest Christians concentrate on saving Christians of the Middle East instead of trying to worry about the greatest people on Earth. Islam is in the process of destroying the 2000 year old Christian Civilization of the Middle East. Your proselytizing will go nowhere since Jews are not Idol worshipers.

The Christians of Israel: A Remarkable Group By Jonathan Adelman 430 In the nightmarish maelstrom that defines the Middle East today, there are few places of refuge for Christians. While Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Sudan and Libya are disintegrating and Egypt is embattled, the Christians are in dire trouble in a region that is increasingly Islamic radical.
Yet, abandoning the Middle East would be painful for most Christians. Jesus of Nazareth was born in Bethlehem, lived in the Galilee and was crucified in Jerusalem. Many Christian holy places from the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Annunciation are in Jerusalem and others are in Israel or the West Bank.
In Iraq and Syria Christians face enslavement, torture, massacres and crucifixion at the hands of ISIS. ISIS sees them as the dread Crusaders who need to be destroyed or repressed. ISIS marks Christian houses with an N for Nazarene to single out their victims.
Unlike the Jews after 1948, the Christians have no state to go to. Only Lebanon could be a place of refuge but the Christian population has plunged in 100 years from 78% to 34% of the country.
In the 12 years since Saddam Hussein was overthrown by American military intervention, almost a million Iraqi Christians have fled Iraq or been killed. Barely 500,000 Christians remain behind. In Iraq Christians are less than 4% of the population but 40% of the refugees. In Syria, 30% of its 1.5 million Christians have fled the country.
The Arab Christians are further divided between Eastern and Western Churches in over a dozen denominations. In Lebanon some Christians support Hezbollah while others oppose the radical pro-Iranian Shiite group.
The Christian population, through low birth rate and massive emigration, has dropped from 20% of the Middle East in 1900 to 4% today and will drop to 3% by 2050. The stateless Christians, unlike the Jews after 1948, lack a military, secret police or government. Without a strong state or patron they are often hopeless in the face of repressive states or movements.
The United States and Europe, though heavily Christian, have provided little military protection or financial aid to the embattled Christians. President Obama won’t even label ISIS as Islamic fundamentalist.
By contrast, the 160,000 Israeli Christians live as citizens in a democratic First World country with freedom of religion, rule of law and open elections. Christians can move anywhere, even building a number of churches recently in Tel Aviv. The government safeguards the Christian holy places and is lenient on the right of return of Christian refugees. Since 1967 Christian, Islamic and Jewish holy sites are open to pilgrims of all religions. The Christian churches own a significant part of Jerusalem, including the land on which the Knesset sits.
Their greatest problem often comes from the Muslims. Most Arab Muslims are relatively satisfied with Israel but a growing minority, especially in the north, is virulently anti-Christian, using physical attacks, provocative speech and seditious billboards. These radicals call the Christians, “the descendants of apes and pigs.” While Bethlehem was once 90% Christian, today it is 65% Muslim.
After 2007 the Hamas takeover of Gaza led to the remainder of the Christians fleeing to the West Bank. While the Christian element in Israel dropped from 8.0% in 1910 to a projected 1.8% in 2025, the Christians plummeted from 11.6% of the West Bank and Gaza in 1910 to a projected 1.0% in 2025.
Today 60% more Christians live in Israel than in the Palestinian territories. A small new Christian party, B’nai Brith, calls on its youth to serve in the Israeli army and hundreds each year do so. Its leader, Reverend Nadaff, declares, “We love this country.”
Israeli Christians have several problems. One is lacking the benefits given to Israelis who serve in the army. Another is the provocative defacing and vandalizing of Christian monuments and cemeteries by a group of radical Jews. Christians complain of the high cost of land and housing. Their small size and internal divisions make them a peripheral political force.
Outside of the Gulf States with over a million mainly Asian Christians laborers, Israel is the only place in the Middle East where the Christians are growing in number. They are excelling in education, doing well in business and feeling relatively safe from their radical tormentors.
In today’s troubled Middle East, that is a remarkable feat.
Jonathan Adelman Professor, Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver

One needs simply to step back and look at the facts, stubborn as facts are, to see which group is motivated by hatred and which group is motivated out of love. I am relieved by the presence of Israel in the world. Without their presence, the hatred that consumes the middle Eastern culture would metastatisize to further deteriorate the healthy existence of the entire human race. Hatred kills and destroys.

You cannot be a Jew and a Christian at the same time.. Say you are a disciple and that may be okay...but to claim two separate religions is not being firm. You are either a Jew or a Christian.. You cannot be both at the same time. The same way you cannot be a Muslim and a Christian.. Being a Jew is spiritual and not of the flesh. There was no man by the name "Jew" and his descendants are called Jews. but rather it is The Israelites Way of Life, known as "The Jewry" . And it is in Honoring the Jewry which basically are the Laws, Statues and Commandments of The God of Israel makes one a Jew. Even to a stranger that chose to convert and keep the Laws, Statues and Commandments of The God of Israel, shall be counted for a Jew . And according to Yahshua's testimony ,none of them that are calling themselves Jews or Jewish keep the Laws. Therefore none of them are "Jews" They are all hypocrites... actors !!
When anyone that was raised as a Jew converts to the ways of Christ he is no longer a Jew but a new man in Christ.

Dear Zion Bound, what about Acts 6:1 (mentions believers in Yeshua/Jesus) who are "Hellenistic" Jews and Jews from the Land). Peter, as a Spirit-filled believer in Christ, addresses his Jewish audience at Shavuot (Pentecost) as "fellow Jews" (Acts 2:14). Aquila is a Jew and a "Christian"; because of his Jewish identity he and his wife were expelled from Rome by a Gentile edict (Acts 18:1-2). Paul is still described as a Jew even while he was proclaiming Yeshua is Messiah (Acts 19:34; 21:39; 22:3). Notice other Jewish believers in Jesus mentioned: Andronicus, Junia, Herodion, Lucius, Jason and Sosipater (possibly also included Timothy) in Romans 16:7, 11, 21. Peter is described still as a Jew (Galatians 2:14). The New Testament and early believers saw no contradiction to be Jewish and a Christian/follower of Jesus the Messiah. One cannot be a Muslim and a Christian, because they have two diverging different philosophies and beliefs on salvation, the person of Jesus, his sacrifice on the cross and resurrection from the dead, the nature of God, God's promises, history, etc. However, one can be Jewish or a Jew and be a Christian because Jesus is the Christ or Messiah, the promised Messiah of Israel and Saviour of the world.
Re: your statement "being a Jew is spiritual and not of the flesh" and there was no man by the name of "Jew" is not entirely true and shows some misunderstanding about Jewish idioms, expressions, and thinking. Jew (in Hebrew Yehudi; in Greek ioudaios) comes from the name Judah (in Hebrew Yehudah; in Greek ioudas/iouda). "Jew" in the Bible and sometime after our first exile, came to either refer to a person from the tribe of Judah, or a person from Judea, any descendant of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; also Gentile convert (e.g. Esther 8:17). It is also used of Jewish people who either not yet believe or even have rejected and even oppose the belief that Jesus is the Messiah. Again look at how the Gospels and the book of Acts. I think you have misunderstood Romans 2:28-29 and neglected the context of Romans 1-3 where Paul demonstrates that all of humanity (Jews and Gentiles) fall short of God's standard and that there is only one way to be justified (declared right) with God and that is by trusting in the finished work of Yeshua at the cross. His blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Romans 1 is directed towards Gentiles; Romans 2 directed toward Jewish people. Romans 3 concludes humanity has failed in keeping God's requirements. Yet Romans 3 also describes the "advantages" of being a Jew (read it). Being a Jew doesn't mean perfection...we are human like everyone else. And like everyone else, we need Messiah Jesus, the only Saviour given. In the Bible, when my Jewish people sinned and turned from God, God, Messiah, the Jewish prophets, and/or the Jewish disciples of Jesus appealed to them as Jews. I am a new man because of Yeshua but I am still Jewish. My faith doesn't erase my DNA, my heritage, that my ancestors are Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Notice God's promise right after his promise of the New Covenant, that the Jews people will continue:
      Jeremiah 31:35-37
35 Thus saith the LORD, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divides the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
37 Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.
Yes there is a terrible judgment to face for individuals, Jews and Gentiles, who are not saved by God's free gift of forgiveness/atonement in Messiah Jesus but to me your characterization of Jews, Jewish people, rabbis, and converts seems personal and disturbing.

First before I respond to the many issues you raised, I would like to know from you two things. (1) Do you believe in the words of the Holy Prophets of Israel ? ..and
(2a) Do you believe that God returned The Jewish people to the Holy Land on May 14th 1948 ? (b). And do you worship that same God whom they claimed had restored them into that holy land ?

    • @travisdempster4693
      @travisdempster4693 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

To your first point. Even the Rabbi's believe a Jew can also be a Christian.
Second, a Jew is Descended from one Man JEW is short for Judah.
As the Nation of Israel is named after one Man, Jacob.
The "Jews" are the returned tribes of Benjamin, Judah and some of Levi.
Even the Rabbi's admit this fact.
Regarding two religions. You are wrong. About Christianity, and it is
      not the same as Islam.
Islam is a false religion. But besides that they do not believe in the hebrew
scriptures. They disregard them. Christians and Messianic Jews fully believe that the TaNaKh is the Word of God, without Error.
      Jewry is like a Rectangle.
A Rectangle is defined as having 4 sides,
      all sides are Right Angles.
      Christianity is like a Square.
A Square is defined as having 4 sides,
      all sides are Right Angles,
and all sides must be Equal.
By Definition a Square is/can be considered a Rectangle.
But by Definition a Rectangle isn't/can not be considered a Square.
Because their is an Equality Missing.
It is allowed to become out of balance.
Even the Rabbi's speak of how Man is made up
of Part Spiritual and Part Physical
That if man says I will only worship God on a mountain,
and ignore all human contact. He will not be happy, because he
ignores the very part of himself which God made. The Physical
And if a man says I will only care about the Physical. My life,
and my pleasure. He finds that with the absence of God,
Every thing is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
He too will not be happy.
It requires all sides to be Equal
Jeshua made this possible through him.
Jesus/Jeshua did not claim that all Jews were not Jews, That all Jews were actors. When he spoke he was talking primarily about the Leaders about the Rabbi's of the people. Being False Teachers, being Hypocrites. Of straining out a Nat (over the Law) and swallowing a Camel with ther man made traditions.
Jeshua said "Why do you break the Commands of God, for the sake of your traditions"
The point of the Law is beyond "Not Sinner"
It was to help the individual give his heart,
and bring his heart back to God.
But the Rabbi's and Jewish Leaders of the day replaced the Worship of God, with the Worship of the Torah and more to the point, the Oral Torah/Traditions of the Elders.
Jesus came as the Word of God made flesh, the Living Torah.
In a sense we was a Test. The Pharisee's claimed to worship and be obedient to the word of God. So when the Word of God came to them, that sincerity was tested and exposed as being false.
It's like a person who says they would give half their winnings if the Won the Lotto to Charity. Then when they win, they forget their vow, or simple ignore it, or pretend they never made a vow.
But Jeshua came to reveal peoples hearts, not to God, for he knows and sees all , but to themselves. For scripture says "The heart is deceiteful above all things"
"The ways of a mans heart are deep waters, but a man of Insight draws them out"
"My people, hear my teaching; listen to the words of my mouth
I will open my mouth in Parables, I will utter things hidden from of old...Psalm 78

Dr Brown repeatedly stated that he would prefer a debate forum rather than a lecture, but that is not what the university of south Florida set up for him. We all understand that our perspectives are sharpened best when we devote an equal amount of study to opposing points of view. In fact, Dr Brown also requested that everyone listening, whether they agreed or not, would research on their own and decide for themselves.

Every single premise of Christian Zionism, i.e. Dispensationalism, i.e. the restoration of the nation of Israel, i.e. Futurism, is founded on one all-consuming statement belief, and what it that? That God still has promises that He has not yet fulfilled to Israel. Dr. Brown in every debate, every lecture, says over and over, “That has not happened yet,” “that has not happened yet,’ reading the Hebrew Prophets as literal and saying, ‘this has not happened.” So if I can show you where God Himself said through His word, that He had fulfilled every single promise, and that not a single promise to Israel was left unfulfilled, then with one blow I have destroyed their primary argument and their belief that the Hebrew Prophets words are literal. If God states He has fulfilled every single promise to Israel then all those “literal” verses must be translated in some other way, i.e. with spiritual meaning, i.e. referring to something else.
      Well, here it is:
      Joshua 21:43-45 (NASB95)
43 So the LORD gave Israel all the land which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they possessed it and lived in it.
44 And the LORD gave them rest on every side, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers, and no one of all their enemies stood before them; the LORD gave all their enemies into their hand.
45 Not one of the good promises which the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed; ALL CAME TO PASS.
