I learned about those stones in the drum head when I was a kid (long time ago LOL),Great video teaching and having fun with kids and some down home cooking nothing like a fun fish fry eating good.
Every time that you spend quality time with these guys you are re-enforcing life lessons along with fun and responsibility. They will not grow up picky eaters. Also, this is great practice for you guys and Ryder. I have been ill for a week or so, but I am feeling better. Glad to see your video today. God Bless Guys
Almost drove down to the Nolan today, went to the local feeder creek that goes into Benbrook instead. Caught a decent crappie on my first cast and that was it. Lots of activity on the far shore so it's fixin to get hot.
Still cracks me up how people across the states think of the same type of fish, here in Michigan most of us hate silver/white bass, but down south y’all love them. We have giants up here too.
Water’s only about 6 inches deep down here on the pedernales river, with holes here and there ranging from 3-7 foot deep. It’s my favorite white bass run conditions by far. No boats, just sniping from the sand banks.
Yes sir, more fishing and can you let us know how the fishing is compared to the Texas Coast. Did we have a fish kill in the lakes and rivers here in Central Texas
@@BigMex777 that fish was awesome I just know if he could have returned it to the water he would have My motto is If you don’t intend to eat it that day put em back Conservation brother
I Googled gasper goo and guess what mullet tote'n cowboy shows up lol. I'll have to try Drum sometime, always thought they were trash fish. Learned something new tonight. Great video... appreciate it!
They are ear bones ..you can age a fish with them looking at growth rings like a tree under a microscope .. can also see bad years in them as well ..salt water fish have them as well
Hey dude didn’t know about that white thing on the fish head 😳 what is called? Are they like pebbles? I have to catch some white bass and look for that thing 🤙🏻 peace bro
Just wondering why do you stab the stringer through the mouth rather than running it up the gill and out the mouth? Never seen anyone do it that way before. Great video white bass are #2 on my best tasting fish list
Next time take your fish patties and drown off with paper towels in the batter will stick or take them and Delsym and flour before you put the batter on a male stick even better to know the secret tip
I'd like to know what truly made you get into youtube and videoing yourself. It's always been a thought to me about doing the same but did you go to school for this or to guide a hunt? I'm just very curious how you done things to get to where you are and going on all these hunts and I do apologize if this seems to offend but in your videos. I've never seen you work a real job. Like idk so I'm questioning that . How do you make a living is what I'm asking I guess considering a few nice things youve got. You seem well off. I'd just like to learn is all! I enjoy your videos alot and I'm a big fan honest to God. If I'm not fishing or hunting. Atleast I can watch you do it ! Thanks for making the videos mullet man
Teaching them kids the way of life. This is the way.

Yes you need to deep fry beer batter, pan fried beer batter is just oil soaked.
Going white bass fishing for the first time this weekend super pumped.
Yep I'm jealous. Gonna have to hit the Brazos and or nolan river now.

I've Never seen anyone in my life use a stringer like that 😂😂
Teaching kids about the outdoors and God is what this world needs.
love too see kids and dad fishing great dad
It's the small things the stones from the fish friends and family nice🤙
That is the best way to cook White bass with the beer batter. Is greasy but good! IMO of course... 👍
I was watching before the notification came through 😃 yes more fishing. I still have ice that I'm waiting on to thaw
Those stones in the drum’s head are called otoliths. All fish have them and you can count the rings to age the fish
I Googled gasper goo and guess what mullet tote'n cowboy shows up lol. I'll have to try Drum sometime, always thought they were trash fish. Learned something new tonight. Great video... appreciate it!
Definitely I would try the pancake batter and go with the deep fried instead of pan fried
This VIDEO was SUPER AWESOME 😎 to WATCH
More Lawson! That kid cracks me up!!!
You kept the goo? How did that turn out?
Why do you put the stringer thru the mouth is it better then putting it thru there guilles?
I was wondering that to
@@jskoutdoors7640 yah I don’t see anything wrong with it I’m just curious
Putting it through the mouth keeps them alive longer, and fresher. But it doesn’t really matter.
Running a stringer through their gills can easily kill the fish. The point of a stringer is to keep the fish alive
@@J_D_B4379 thanks
This is the way for sure #themandalorian #mulletman #countrylife #fishlife
Heck yeah man do some more fishing. Mix in some new recipes. Maybe some lake/river side camp fire recipes? 👍🏻
Devils Lake ND these get 3-5 pounds. HUGE
In maine striped bass have to be 24 inches to keep.
Yes more fishin would be great keep the the good vids cmon
Would love to see u go crappie fishing
What are the water temps for the run down there?
Awesome teaching your kiddos 👍👍👍
Love you videos, use House-Autry Chicken or seafood bread next time. If it is not an 8+ i will take you fishing here in SC!!! 100!! Blessings JT
What river is that? I fish the brazos in waco alot and am hoping to get whites this weekend
They are ear bones ..you can age a fish with them looking at growth rings like a tree under a microscope .. can also see bad years in them as well ..salt water fish have them as well
Do pancake mix as a batter rolled in crushed corn flakes. You won’t go back to anything else.
That littlest kid is hilarious
I’m down for more fishing videos because apparently I can’t find any fish south of San Antonio 😴🤦🏽♂️
the freeze wrecked texas fish prob going to see no fishing / limits big time till they come back
I love the catch and cooks
Is that the Lampassas River?
They go up and visit you in the winter and come back to me in the summer
Yee yee Mr.Mullet Man 🤙🤙😎#nevergiveup
If Cletus invites you, you owe me a hunt!
Great video 💯
Long John silvers was Lowkey kinda good
I'm screaming at cleatus mcfarland to include you
Whites on the Pedernales during the run average 12” for males and 15” plus for females
DOPE keeping some dinkers/minnows.lol.
White bass run there is late winter?
Lawson needs his own channel
Freaking love it!!!!!
Where at?
White bass run is in May in Ohio and you can catch 3 pound slabs and there’s no limit
I also live in Ohio is the fish he kept the stones out of a sheep head ?
@@billralston3841 pretty sure. I believe all drums have stones. I prefer not to mess with freshwater sheepshead because their slime is so stinky
I've never seen anyone put a fish on a stringer like that before

Eat good!!! Yeah most definitely head back out.
Add some Everglades and mmmmmhhhhmmmm you got you self da best fishy in da bayou

Horizontally recorded😀👍

Use flat beer the batter will stick better
Keep fishing
Just wondering why do you stab the stringer through the mouth rather than running it up the gill and out the mouth? Never seen anyone do it that way before. Great video white bass are #2 on my best tasting fish list
Same thing came to mind
What part of Texas are you in?
Not first but sure close

Never seen someone use a stringer like that???
Exactly what I was thinking 🤔
What kind of fish was that that had the stones in its head
What is the name of the fish with the stones in the head ?
Are you sure those first few white bass were 10 inches?
Nevermind. They looked underside, but then I saw the stringer.
Where is this lake location?
U can tell the age of the fish with those "rocks" haha
Lol white bass 🤣 I'm waiting on them walleye to come up
What is a gaspergu
Fresh water drum

Ultra light 4lb test with a 6’ rod is the only way to catch these fish
a litel file knive hahahaha 😎🚬
Lol out of the mouth of babes.

Hunts ketchup????? WWWWHHHYYYY?!?!?!?!
All good but if he was my boy I'd built a quick fire before going back to fishing.
Food chain challenge dump out fish heads and kill a hog!!!
Here in Ohio that is a Sheephead or technically a freshwater drum.
Yeah that’s what I have always called em
If you go saltwater fishing a sheepshead is a totally different fish so be careful if you do go
I don't eat gaspergoos
