Panasonic RX-5030L Radio Cassette Recorder Appraisal Before Repair.

Hi Folks,
Here's a Panasonic radio cassette recorder from the 1980's. There aren't many of these about now, so it is definitely worth checking over! It is a superb looking example - so what needs doing?

I'm curious to know what that LED meter is measuring, as it's not moving in time with the audio and it came on during fast forward when there was no sound.

I could be wrong, but that LED meter might just be a battery level/power indicator and not a VU meter for audio.

I had the very same model in my 20s for my caravan but i got pissed sitting outside one night went to bed forgot about it and it pissed down all night say no more
