It is very very similar to Marathi language spoken in Indian state Maharashtra.
    For e.g.
    1.What are you doing
    Domari- Kay Kastesse
    Marathi- Kay Kartess
    2. What?
    Domari- Kay?
    Marathi- Kay?
    3. Who?
    Domari- Ko?
    Marathi- Kon?
    4. Here
    Domari- Etha
    Marathi- Ethe
    5. Where?
    Domari- Keta?
    Marathi- kuthe?
    6. I (me)
    Domari- ma
    Marathi-me
    7. You
    Domari- To
    Marathi- To
    8. You Plural
    Domari- tumin
    Marathi- Tumhi
    9. We
    Domari- Amin
    Marathi- Amhi
    10. He
    Domari- Ha
    Marathi- Ha
    11. He dance
    Domari- Naciste
    Marathi- Nachte
    12. He play
    Domari- keliste
    Marathi- Khelte

Hello my friends, I am an Arab and I speak this language as well, but we immigrated from our land and mixed with the cultures around us and acquired this language from these cultures. We were living in the Arabian Peninsula. There was a war that lasted for 40 years, which caused the migration of our people and spread everywhere.

  • @sara.othman
    @sara.othman ปีที่แล้ว +4

The Domari pronounciation is very similar to Kurdish in the sense that the A sound is very very similar to Kurdish! The way you say Domari in Domari is how we would say in Kurdish (same A sound)- if someone was speaking Domari I could mistake it for some dialect of Kurdish especially since some words are also similar sounding!

  • @rhizoidx
    @rhizoidx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +19

In Lebanese Arabic (and I think they use the same in Palestine/Jordan/Syria) we have an expression, when describing a suspiciously empty street, or alley, or area of the city that's usually "busy" and crowded, "Ma fi wala dowmari" - means "There isn't a single domari [person]" - since the Dom are usually prevalent in these crowded areas.
