I got a July 2016 made for Ukraine model. 80k on it. Loving the possibilities together with the low cost of ownership. I have a Prado too, but most often choose the GV unless it's somewhere like a beach with deep sand. Gets me everywhere.
Doesn't this have low range? I'm looking at getting a GV but see that the 2006/7 models don't havean ESP button. Do these have as good TC as the later models post 2008?
I doubt it. The traction control works as a part of the ABS and is controlled partly by the cars computer. It requires a sensor on each wheel to monitor the speed and an algorithm that detects wheel spin and applies the brake to that wheel
Definitely thinking about it but it's hard to justify on a vehicle that's nearly 10 years old now. The traction control gets me everywhere I need to go so far.
Great info. Looking into getting an older GV shortly. Thanks for the info.

Excellent info.
I want to install it on my 2010 grand Vitara. Is it expensive to do?

I believe the early models didn't have ESP so they wouldn't have traction control.
How many kilos you can drive your GV on full tank?
Mine does about 10.5 litres / 100 Km on average. That's about 450 Ks per tank.
My GV 2008 2.0 does not have Traction control. Can we install traction controll?

@richarddmogg1 Right! My GV does comes with ABS. I guess then swapping the ECU might work.
Why not install a rear diff locker ?
Definitely thinking about it but it's hard to justify on a vehicle that's nearly 10 years old now. The traction control gets me everywhere I need to go so far.
@@richarddmogg1 What's a rear diff locker worth on a grand vitara?
please love your vitara more. she dirty
Yes. It does the dirt every day!
