I’m in Southern Hemisphere, I bought a nook miles ticket and flew over to the island. It was a circle type island with symmetrical hills on every corner, it also had about 5 rock’s sprinkled in the middle. ALL OF THEM were money rocks. And if this island wasn’t weird enough, scorpions were EVERYWHERE! So I found the Southern Hemisphere’s tarantula island! (Scorpion Island)

I feel so blessed that I got to visit a magical fish island. I caught two ore fish and one tuna and a trillion koi. Perhaps keep visiting islands as often as you can until you notice that all of your fishing becomes super fruitful.

The “cork fire hydrant” as you call it, is a gyro. You used to be able to find them all over your town in previous games and collect them. They came in all different shapes and colors. Really bummed I haven’t found any/ they don’t have them to collect in this game.

Used your sturgeon tips and learned the spawns really well. You can get a sturgeon to spawn in about every 30 seconds if you clear fish spawns in the right pattern anddddd you can do it for the string fish as well but it takes a little more time. I got 2 string fish and a full inventory of sturgeon in a little under an hour and that's only because I'm bad at fishing

I just want to make everyone playing the northern hemisphere aware: Giant water bugs are coming. You can’t scare them away. You HAVE to catch them. They will break the rhythm of the DIY tarantula islands that have rivers and ponds.
heck, timeskipper here, and those things, uhhhh, let's just say they're not the prettiest things in the game also, found a glitched grasshopper in the water for about 5-10 seconds until the game realized it wasn't supposed to be there you could call that... a water *bug*
For the non-heavy money grinders it is still worth more money than some fish you get. From how people reacted from this I avoided catching them for a while but it's still like 2000 or something, I dont remember
I’m pretty sure that Peacock butterflies only spawn when you have hybrid flowers. I say this because I got a hybrid flower island tour, took a whole inventory of flowers home with me, and before this I’d never seen a peacock butterfly, and now I get them all the time

Haven’t looked at the fish spreadsheet since one of the earlier vids but there’s some mistakes. Saddled Bichirs are only available in March in the Southern Hemisphere. Also, both the golden trout and a fish called the “Char” are located at the clifftop. The Char is active from 4pm to 9am, and sells for 3800 bells. It’s either a size 3 or 4
@Austin John Plays Another Feng Shui item worth looking into is the bamboo wall decoration. -3 customization colours (Red/Green/Yellow). -Each decoration only needing a single bamboo piece too. -You can fit two decorations in the amount of space the ivy would occupy

Hey Austin, I am just inquiring about the fact that it is near impossible to get the Fabled Golden Trout and Stringfish. Can you give any useful tips to find these hard-to-get fish.
I randomly caught the string fish on the same island he was at, at 4:00 on this video. Top level thought it was just a black bass randomly turned out to be a string fish
Find the special fishing nook miles island with the cliffs - the one where he caught the sturgeons. Clear it of everything like he did to make any island a tarantula island. Without it spawning all the bugs and stuff, you get a lot more fish spawns! Worked for me. I caught all the rare fish I needed and am now basically a millionaire lol didn't need to use any of my bait either.
That first island you went to is the island I farm Sturgeon on! I feel like this is the second day in a row you claimed to be on a bad island and in reality you could have farmed it for sturgeon.
another tip for the southern hemisphere, if you get an island where its raining, the crickets won't spawn so you can do the tarantula method. I managed to get it to work the first time just because it happened to be raining on the island I found but have had a tough time since with the crickets. If you do get a raining island though, 10/10 recommend!
I've been trying to find definitive proof and information about Feng Shui in this game, but I cannot find it. In fact, I remember many reliable sources back in the day saying it was removed after the gamecube version. If it's in; great! I rather doubt it. Also Redd and paintings are not in this game and that information is from an older game.

Just plant flowers until the game says you're good. You could also put decorations on your Island but that really depends on the space you have available
Panda Man What i did was just plant a lot of flowers and trees everywhere, as well as put furniture down. The more you have, the better score you get, it doesn’t have to look neat or tidy. You only need 3 stars for the concert btw
As someone who's played this series since it came out on the gamecube, it really makes me happy to see someone new to the series just absolutely love it. I tried to show it to a friend who'd never played before, and he hates it. He goes on and on about basic mechanics (like the real-time thing) being "stupid" and "why would anyone enjoy this dogshit." So yeah. It's really like.... emotionally healing to come listen to someone who actually enjoys a game that's held such a large place in my life for so long lol.

Just in case you didn't know already, when you get stung, you can buy medicine from Tommy and Timmy to get rid of the stung eye so you don't pass out when you get stung a 2nd time! It took me about 120 fish bait for the golden trout, patience is the only advice I could give, keep trying

Ask Isabelle what you an do to up your rating. They are usually looking for furniture placed around your island and flowers/trees.

Panda Man What i did was just plant a lot of flowers and trees everywhere, as well as put furniture down. The more you have, the better score you get, it doesn’t have to look neat or tidy. You only need 3 stars for the concert btw
I heard you need 8 villagers, around 100 flowers and 50 pieces of fencing on your island

As someone who's played this series since it came out on the gamecube, it really makes me happy to see someone new to the series just absolutely love it.
I tried to show it to a friend who'd never played before, and he hates it. He goes on and on about basic mechanics (like the real-time thing) being "stupid" and "why would anyone enjoy this dogshit."
So yeah. It's really like.... emotionally healing to come listen to someone who actually enjoys a game that's held such a large place in my life for so long lol.

Hey! I'm loving this playthrough so far and it's definitely one of my favorites yet! Also! Just in case you didn't know already, when you get stung, you can buy medicine from Tommy and Timmy to get rid of the stung eye so you don't pass out when you get stung a 2nd time! I'm really looking forward to the rest of the playthrough btw!
