I played way too much of this back in the day, and haven't had friends to play it with since... but am about to get started all over again because it's a fun time-waster. A few things: - So, the "Money Spot" grows a sapling which releases a one-time harvest of three 1000 Bell bags from what I remember from the first GC. I've not done it since then, and it's been a long time... - I'm also going to note the difference between the Stone Axe and Axe is kinda important: The Stone Axe still only harvests wood, but the Axe will chop the tree down and leave a stump. You will need to dig up the stump later, but leaving it there will prompt some insects to be found *only* on stumps. - There used to be "golden tools" you could get which were vastly improved, and required a lot of hoops to jump through to get them. I think the method has varied across the games but I would be surprised if they are NOT available in this game as rewards for going "all the way" on certain things. Austin, I enjoy that you explain the game as of we didn't know anything as it makes ot much easier to follow along. You also do it in a way that isn't condescending, so it works.
Austin, to get 9 items out of the stone you have to smash down the button as fast as possible without leaving out any time between hitting the rock. It doesn’t always work but if you manage you can get 9. Especially with the money rock you can end up getting about 15.000 bells which is incredible. Hope you see this and it helps you a little

1:40 when i got my cherries from my mom, i thought "oh. i can sell these for a lot" and i did because i didn't know you can plant them. fortunately, i have gotten a rare fruit island with pears, but i miss the cherries
Here are a few tips: - dig a few holes behind you before hitting the rocks. You have to be able to hit the rock fast enough to get all 9 items from the rock. This includes the money rock. - fruits native to your island sell for 100. Non native fruits should sell for either 300 or 500 if I remember correctly. Either way it's significantly more.
I went around hulk smashing all my rocks because I ate one of my fruits...not knowing you can farm them infinitely per day like the trees......so short on iron and clay I have to buy tickets to other islands.
When I was stung by a wasp I talked to one of my villagers and they gave me the recipe for medicine so I didn’t have to keep buying it (get stung a second time and it knocks you out). It takes the wasp nest and 3 weeds.
Yeah, I've already made several drawings on the ground, including a 9 tile pentagram at the entrance to the airport dock with runes inside each section!

Hey! For anyone who doesn't want to get stung by wasps: Shake all the trees with your net in hand first before attempting to gather wood. This way, you make sure all the trees are safe to cut. Make sure you are right in front of the tree when you shake it. If a wasp nest does drop, all you do is hit A and you will grab the wasp with no chance of missing! Hope this helps.
Pro tip: Shake the tree from the front WHILE HOLDING THE NET. If a wasp nest falls, your character will automatically look in the direction of the wasps. Hit "A" to catch them. Thanks Austin John for the great play through tips for ACNH and Sword and Shield!

If you have a vaulting pole on you that adds a few more, same with the ladder, and if you have both there's a couple more added to those of witch you can use and you have all NMT islands you can get. If you don't have a ladder you can't get islands with mountains, same with vaulting pole, with that you can't get ones with rivers. Look it up ^•^
I never played animal crossing game, today I spent 11h with New Horizons 😂
Hope this helps.
fun fact: Blathers could be a species of owl that only eats small rodents
Pro tip: Shake the tree from the front WHILE HOLDING THE NET. If a wasp nest falls, your character will automatically look in the direction of the wasps. Hit "A" to catch them.
Thanks Austin John for the great play through tips for ACNH and Sword and Shield!
I dreamed of waking up and having this game to play, it felt so real, when I woke up I remembered it was only a dream and did not have the game, I felt sad😢
universowhat studios that was me waking up to Thursday, thankfully I preordered on my eshop and have been playing all day.
I'm glad you're playing this game. I loved your Breath of the Wild videos and devoured most of them. I'm hooked on this now and it's cool to actually play along in a way. I play my days before i watch your videos (so far) and i then watch yours to see if i missed anything or found others. Pretty cool so far. Keep up the videos please!

Austin John Plays hey that’s cool
Like previous games, you should be able to dig a hole directly behind you before you start hitting rocks to prevent you from being pushed back. This saves you time allowing you to hit the rock the maximum number of times.

Zoology student and junior zookeeper here: most owls eat vertebrate prey, but many species will also eat insects. Some of the smaller owl species are primary insectivores, though, and insects make up the majority of their diets.
3:07 That sound when the bells pop out of the rock, don't get me wrong, but that totally sounds like the 1-UP sound from Mario. Is that new?
ayman aboufarise No, it’s been like that for a few games if not all
@@WellPreparedTreeFrog Yeah I also remember hearing this sound on New Leaf and City Folk im not sure.
