- The Cartune Company (2003) Ltd in New Zealand does 1uz and 3uz conversions / parts and wiring. We have been working on UZ Toyota V8 engines since 2004 when we did our own Hiace van to transport dirtbikes around NZ. Since then we have swapped to doing mainly just Lexus V8 work from a family owned farm hidden away in our paradise , surrounded by the NZ native bush. Its all pointless unless you have the immobilizer key and that whole system working. Otherwise our US engines are big paperweights.
Get a 5.3 LM7 engine for $600. Easy to remove the VATS and build a harness.

Some models of 2uz dont have immo and others can have it turned off easily with the correct knowledge.

Yes the 2uz coils are the same as the 3uz as covered in my COP video. Cheers Kelvin

Can you use a 2005 VVTi ECU on a 2004 non VVTi engine harness? They do have the same plugs which plug right in and which pin out on the 2005 ECU control the VVTi? Thanks Kelvin.
Most likely but its often more stuffing around than its worth so I'd normally recommend getting the correct ecu for the loom. Cheers Kelvin

In my vehicle it's not available only obd1 22 pin available outside under the hood near ahc pump

What a waste of time the dude shows everything he is doing but then does not show the paper that has important info on the computer wiring. He even keeps it folded on purpose to not see the labeling of the connectors.
This is because part of my income is from selling information. I give away lots of tips and tricks for free but the most important stuff is kept for my paying customers.
@@CartuneNZ I understand that and all it just sucks that everything you talk and show is just stuff that to me is just common knowledge.
@@xandert9185 if you look at 90% of questions I'm asked its for basic knowledge, that you and I consider common, but most people this is new to them. I've got some stuff I find interesting when I get time and the more technical is kept for wiring diagram customers.
