Your comments are fair & accurate. I've had it with Callipery...he curses & screams at the players publically at the games and then 1 week before the SEC tournament, he converts to Mr. Nice Guy. He complains about the guys not being physical enough, but he continues to recruit thin finesse players who are allowed to care more about how their hairstyles and how they look than about their physical game...except for Oscar & 1 other, his recruiting for a complete team is lacking. 4 wins to 14 losses to really good teams does clearly show something is wrong with the Coach...he is so arrogant...but he gets away with calling us basketball bennies. Have supported Ky basketball for over 60+ years. Ky wants another NCAA title, but Coach C. is content with just getting a few players to the pros...we should have let him go coach UCLA a few years ago, instead of falling for his act.

    Matt Jones? Respectfully….
I stopped being engaged in Calipari Basketball when we came down the floor THREE STRAIGHT TIMES and never hit the rim with the ball…while Booker sat the bench…,lost to Wisconsin in the Final Four… lost our undefeated season…. And 3-months later Calipari states “maybe I cost us that game because of LOYALTY “
    😮
I wanted him FIRED then… and the AD fired!
We are not KENTUCKY BASKETBALL… we are CALIPARI BASKETBALL… boring, slow, dribbling and dribbling… excuses… no full court pressing… no good zone or M2m…
And I’ve been saying this since 2015.. while fans threw back blind loyalty at me AND KSR kicked me off their post site! 😂😂😂

Lmfao. They were a two seed a few months ago. They finally got upset in the tournament. It has happened with all the usual suspects, North Carolina, UCLA, Duke, Kansas. Virginia was first team to lose to a 16 seed. The next season, with a little weaker team, they won the championship. Just silly talk, grounded in histrionics as opposed to fact. Kentucky had one really bad year, the Covid season. And yes, the season after winning the championship. All other seasons have been very good.

Now we are supposed to have better team, returners including NPOY. Cal is a horrible in game coach. Great recruiter, terrible game prep coach. He had Robic for game planning well he’s gone. He had KP working with the big guys inside he’s gone. Cal is being exposed with the weaknesses he has. I didn’t like Pitino but he got the most potential out of less talent. Cal gets the least out of the most. Look up Bryce Hopkins stats or Keion Brooks this year. Being to close fans get blinded. Take an objective step back and look. It has been the same team for SEVERAL years now. No defense, give up layup after layup. Free throw percentage is abysmal. The point guard leads the team in turnovers!!! Toppin doesn't hustle. That dude should be a menace on the defensive end of the floor. The fan base is tired of the excuses from the top! What is up with Collins? Is he still in Lexington? Give the guy some minutes to get better. He will do just as good or better than the ones on the court. The only positive I seen from the game at MSG was Cal gave Chris Livingston a chance to play and he had a good game against UCLA. I honestly did not see UK beating UCLA before Saturday but was hopeful something good might happen. I do not see them beating Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee and possibly Auburn. Kansas will beat UK at Rupp. So, how do we get in the Tourney and if we do it will be a bad seed and a quick exit, again. I have always defended Calipari because of the players he brought in year after year but the losses are piling up. The record against the top 25 the last few years is horrible! I know UK has the #1 recruiting class coming in next year with D Wagner and co. but it could be to late for this coaching staff. The majority of the BBN is done with the losses...

59yo BBN here. What you are sensing has a lot to do with a program in a downward spiral for sure. However, many BBN such as me just don't care anymore. The entire program has been stripped of its culture. Calipari has turned the program into a NBA farm praying to the all mighty dollar, with a large portion of his recruits focused on nothing else. So, letting it go has been great for me. I used to be able to quote schedules, player stats etc every year. I don't even know who is in the starting line up. Cal has lost the old school guys by destroying the culture, he is losing the younger crowd because he can't win with top 2 classes yearly. As of today, Cal has the same winning % as Tubby had...Tubby who would not even recruit AAU players. Let that sink in.

2:24, "We keep being told UK is the Gold Standard.'' It's become more of like a lead standard the last few years! Hahaha!
And John Calipari is the only coach at UK that I have ever known in my lifetime. But until he either completely revamps his coaching strategy and mindset, and starts learning from guys like Eric Musselman, Dan Hurley, Matt Painter, Mark Few and maybe, just maybe, Bill Self; Then well, Kentucky is not going to win anything, we're not going to win any of the major opponent games, and we certainly won't win any NCAA tournament games in the future. He must learn how to start coaching like a modern College/NBA coach, or this team is going to just repeat what it has done in 2021 and 2022. We just need to raise the money to buy him out of his "Lifetime contract'' and fire him if he doesn't start showing some real results. I love the guy, heck, I've seen his house in person multiple times before and it is a lovely house, but what was that paid for, with UK fans money that was given to the University and then turned into his salary of like $9 Million a year. Well, that same money from the fans can also buy him out of his job as head coach at UK if he doesn't start to change for the better. He cannot keep coming up with the same* lousy excuses. Honestly, I can see him literally resigning as head coach if he doesn't start winning. I will miss his personality, and his recruiting skills when/if he isn't UK's coach anymore, but I won't miss his coaching. I love the guy, as a person, I used to love him as our coach, but that pretty much stopped after like the 2019 season ended, and it has just simply gotten worse from there and my love for him as our coach has dwindled. I'm getting tired of his excuses and his repeated quotes after each game, when you lose a basketball game, as the head coach, it is your duty to speak to reporters after the loss on how and why you lost. and what you will do to fix the issues, and he doesn't want to talk to any reporters all that much after losses, and he sure as heck doesn't come up with any solutions! But like I say, I love him, I wish him the best of luck and health, I wish his family well, but he must change his ways, or he will be run out of his job as head coach for University of Kentucky Wildcats Men's Basketball team.
12/25/2022, 7:33AM, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for all in 2023, and for all years coming in the future.

CoUch Cal had an unusually long 'honeymoon' with Kentucky. That has ended because of consistent non-performance. Fans expect wins, no excuses. I can mouth CoUch Cal's blah, blah, blah as well as he can. Meaningless. Kentucky fans are broken. If there were a Hall of Fame for people who can break an anvil, then CoUch Cal would be the first inductee. He picked his players, it is HIS JOB to have them ready to play and win. Kentucky is now the easy win on everybody's schedule. That is no place for a storied basketball program. I don't believe that he has the ability to change or to make necessary modifications. And, he has poor relationships with everybody. Fans and colleagues have had enough. The blame resides with CoUch Cal.

Gentleman this has been a problem for Kentucky basketball for quite some time…you cannot sustain the level of success that this university and its fan base demands by swapping out glorified 18 year old AAU stars every year. Cal doesn’t know how to develop talent and it shows because our players the last few years aren’t getting better towards the post season, they’re getting worse. They’re constantly in their heads, can’t hit shots, simple inbound defenses are constantly breaking down, turning the ball over, constantly being out of control. He doesn’t know how to develop talent. And even if someone wanted to challenge me on that theory, who do you have as the test subject? No one. Cause no one hangs around Kentucky for more than a year. This style of recruiting and playing of the game was unsustainable from the jump, other programs are out here focused on creating good TEAMS, who can play organized D1 basketball at a high level, Cal is worried about how many 18 year old AAU players he can flip into being NBA players in order to build his clout. Have y’all noticed we haven’t had any visible leaders on the court these last couple of years? Where’s the chuck hayes? The Patrick pattersons? The Tayshaun Prince’s? The Keith Bogans? The Darius Miller’s?
These guys don’t exist in our program anymore, and we have blind AAU 18 year old ball players trying to lead other blind 18 year old ball players, cause OBVIOUSLY, Cal isn’t going to do it.

The 5-stars will discover that the NBA doesn't play Cal's style anymore. The records will fade. UK will become mediocre. And then what? In hindsight, giving Calipari this "lifetime" contract was a horrible error especially considering the very team we lost to is the one we tried to keep him from running off to.
